I cant believe my eyes.

Please dont speak on this subject anymore
In the past two decades, hundreds of convicted prisoners have been exonerated by DNA and non-DNA evidence, revealing that police-induced false confessions are a leading cause of wrongful conviction of the innocent. In this article, empirical research on the causes and correlates of false confessions is reviewed. After a description of the three sequential processes that are responsible for the elicitation of false confessions—misclassification, coercion, and contamination—the three psychologically distinct types of false confession (voluntary, compliant, and persuaded) are discussed along with the consequences of introducing false-confession evidence in the criminal justice system. The article concludes with a brief discussion of the implications of empirical research for reducing the number of false confessions and improving the accuracy of confession evidence that is introduced against a defendant at trial.
Nevertheless, the DNA exonerations provide a window into the causes of erroneous prosecution and wrongful conviction. A disturbing number of these cases involved false confessions given by innocent defendants during a psychologically coercive police interrogation. In the Central Park Jogger case, for example, all five juveniles falsely confessed after lengthy unrecorded interrogations in which they were yelled at, lied to, threatened, and promised immunity in exchange for their admissions to participating in the assault and rape.5 In 15 to 20 percent of the DNA cases, police-induced false confessions were the primary cause of the wrongful conviction.6,7 Here too, however, the documented cases appear to represent the proverbial tip of the iceberg, as the DNA exonerations again do not include most cases in which there is no DNA to test. They also do not include false confessions that were dismissed or disproved before trial, those that resulted in guilty pleas, those given for crimes that were not subject to postconviction review (especially less serious crimes), and those given in cases that contain confidentiality provisions (e.g., juvenile proceedings).

Hey! A man's life is at stake. Thus no need for morals and 'pity partying.'

George, thank you for the time taken to look into this case. Truly appreciated. David said you've done your research and that Mr Bah isn't completely honest. But my question is that in view of this evidence, is it possible that he was framed? Is it possible that his DNA was implanted on the crime scene by someone behind the scene?

Yes, arguing that the test is flawed is a very dumb move because it's Gold standard. But I'm just looking for a possibility of this being an innocent man.
In addition to your questions: was the girl a virgin? Was Mr Bah visually identified by the victim? Was the victim cross examined by the defense? Was she a virgin? Was there a tear in her anus to indicate forceful-first time sodomy?
The duration of the incidence? Were was his semen removed from the victim before DNA was carried out? Is the semen sample still in preservation?

That is a biased and unprofessional article possibly written by a racist and bigoted individual.
It is just a witer's opinion which is not worth the paper its written on.
He is not accused any crime so what is the relevance of this article.

The OP cannot self defend in a US criminal proceeding of this nature and magnitude. He also claimed to have paid $150,000 to lawyers.
I can bet my life he was defended by a indigent public defender because that is the way the system works over there. You must have a lawyer to defend you or have one appointed on his behalf.

I agree with the writer who suggested the OP appeal the sentencing, he won't get anywhere with overturning the convictions.
He has only one chance at appeal and he will do well not to blow it.

Sentiments, emotions, prayers and so on will not get him out. Publicity won't help either as Nigerian government don't care and have no diplomatic clout to pull any weight internationally.
Lots of innocent people are languishing in Nigerian jails and the same leaders do not really care. If he is counting on naija government to come to his aid in the US, its a waste of time.
Pardon my inquiry. How does someone appeal a 3 life plus 76 years sentences?
To 2 life, 1 life or simply a fraction of the 76 years?
76 years is roughly 27740 days though in prison it's halved.
The hell no.
Can you advice your brother who claims innocence of a crime to appeal such verdict?

I believe 12 jurors spent the better part of a week hearing evidence during a trial and unanimously -- and quickly -- voted to convict him. A jury conviction is a powerful statement of guilt that requires more than a cursory claim of innocence to ignore. The burden of proof shifts to Bah to prove his innocence after that kind of conviction, and he's not meeting that burden, since everything he's arguing would have been evident to those 12 jurors.

He also has tremendous incentive to lie like hell right now, given what he's facing in prison.

There's no point in arguing half-measures: you can't sort-of-rape a 13-year-old girl, and there's no real provision for leniency in sentencing given the conditions. The only way he ever gets out of prison is by arguing that the state broke its own laws prosecuting him. And, again, he isn't offering sufficient evidence of that, because that's a high hurdle to leap.

Yeah. He did it. I can say that because a jury said it.
Please, save us all that hot air sir undecided

LMAO..... God go punish George chidi the refugee
I'm beginning to consider a grand conspiracy involved in this case, as regards the recent emergence of dubious characters whose only aim is undermining Powerhouse5050's right to an appeal by subduing the interest of people bent on ensuring a retrial and a fair hearing.
Whatever information the defendant is withholding is crucial if truly he's in need of deserving help.
His brief history.
His travels.
His engagements.
His acquaintances in Nigeria, Japan and US.
His next plans and intentions in the US before his arrest and incarceration.
A clear picture of people he knows in the state and those he came across during his brief stay in the US.
Any grudge, conflict of interest, debt, deals etc with locals, neighbours, vendors, law enforcement etc no matter how negligible it might be, can be the missing link.
Body fluids can be swapped.
Clothes can be stolen and disposed of close to the crime scene.
The witness can be compromised.
IN FACT THE RAPE MIGHT NOT HAVE EVEN OCCURED in the first instance, and the victim can be a victim of child abuse by paedophiles in form of parents, guardians, neighbours etc.
A great possibility if a setup exists going by the defendant's behaviors on this forum.
You might never know who's foot you stepped on that hurts the most.
About racism: Colour on colour racists exists and is not just limited to White hates on blacks.
The defendant should be wary of his approach lately on this forum.
Left to me, all questions and comments should be directed to a few people vetted by him on this thread, who in turn will be in constant communication with him.
I don't want his chances to a fair appeal botched.
Were watching from the side.

Apologies, ma'am.
We all (especially those attacking you) want justice for this man. We also, equally want justice for the victim. Now, if someone is found guilty and unjustly convicted of a rape crime he never committed, that cannot serve as justice for neither the victim, the wrongly accused/convicted nor the rapist who if that's the case is still at large.

I believe, ma'am, that you do not hate this man, and neither do you want an innocent man pay heavily for a crime he never committed. You however let your emotions cloud your judgments. Your goal initially was to get justice for the victim, rather than getting the justice served to the right person; understandably because you're a mother. But no mother would wish for a rapist be roaming freely, while an innocent man wrongly imprisoned.

See pls the reason to help in this case, as you are in a better position to than all of us.

Something tells me this man is innocent, otherwise, he would have given up on the fight to prove his innocence.

MR. BAH
If you are truly guilty as charged, it will never be well with you in this life and after for the trauma the victim went through and also for stressing those helping you.
As a JD she claims to be, and someone sincerely seeking justice. That phrase ' CONDEMNED MAN' she employed: Do you think it's an oversight? Or rather a slip of tongue?
JayEntaur:
If 1stGenAmerican can be persuaded to meticulously go through the judgment of court and is convinced that there's room for reasonable doubt, then I think PowerHouse5050 should approach David Hundeyin and see if he can convince him to get his story out there. I'm sure this will give his case the much needed exposure he wants.

However, this should only be done if the OP is sure he is truly innocent, because if David can be persuaded to take on this case, he will go through it with a finetoothed comb and might even unearth untendered evidence.

If OP knows deep-down that he's guilty and is hoping to get off on a technicality, then all I can say is good luck with that. But, free advice, it'd be better to show true remorse and appeal for a more lenient sentence.

reasonable evidence suggests that she said that word based on premeditation, coming out to make apologies after saying that is useless because the damage has already been done, and its like making apologies to someone after pulling the trigger of a gun and raining bullets at him.

Hello everyone,

I do have a proposal please .... read carefully

Since 1stGenAmerican lives in Georgia, I will like everyone to come to con census and appoint her to review ,investigate the veracity of my evidences.

I will provide the names and phone numbers of all people/organisation/laboratory including GBI, Douglas County Sheriff office and DA office included.

At the end of her findings, she can report back to everyone here the result of her findings......

From there everyone will be on the same page whether to push for social media campaign ( with good social Mercia campaign, Nigeria Embassy will be forced to review the case ) or maybe ditch it all here

I can send all copies of important documents through USPS for her verifications of truth.

What do you think my people?

I know if majority support this plan, she will not refuse to lend a helping hand.
Someone who's against your appeal huh
How much do you intend to pay herhuh
Knock yourself three times while asking Jesus Christ to borrow you sense.
Now I can see what landed you in jail.
Honestly, how does a dumb individual come across money to buy six SUV's should be the 9th wonder of the world.
