DON'T CHOKE HIM! When a man is choked Asake, that's not time to block his nose. Like a man gasping for breath, A sinner is in need of life, He needs a new and exchanged life. Don't choke him in commendation He needs Salvation, the door to eternal life. Everyone needs Jesus. Literature / The Candle In The Wind- A Review by TemidayoRiches(f): 8:21pm On Oct 09, 2020 |
Yippee. It’s another edition of Book Crush Friday. Last week we had a special edition and over 5 books featured on the review. If you missed it, just click here: http://www.temidayoriches.com/index.php/2020/10/02/book-crush-friday-special-edition/. I don’t want you to miss out. Today, we would be reviewing THE CANDLE IN THE WIND, a novel written by Lizzy Oyebola Yakubu. One of my friends told me she enjoyed this novel and I decided to read too. Wow! If you asked me about my reading experience, I’d simply say it was awesome and you should find time to read it too. Don’t worry the link to download will be attached at the end of this review. The story started with Precious’ quest to hear God. She felt God wasn’t interested in speaking to her but she was wrong. God delights in speaking to us, even though He speaks to us through other people too. We all have to know and learn how God speaks to us. God spoke to her through her Pastor and even through her own vision. It would be wrong for us think the only time we have to hear from God is time to choose a spouse because God is interested in every aspect of our lives. Mrs Idile was going through a hard time but everyone around her thought she was fine until God revealed what she was going through to Tony and Precious. Pst. Idile’s lifestyle reminded me of a movie I once watched, Busy but Guilty. Insensitivity to people around us can make us lose them. While we seek to be intimate with God, we must not neglect our family and other important relationships in our lives like Pst. Idile. It took God’s mercy to revive his family. Emerald, Gem and Ruby were victims of a failed marriage but God’s mercy restored them. There is indeed nothing God cannot do if we seek Him and trust Him. No matter what you are going through, you can choose to make the best decision by talking to God about it. The themes range from hearing God, Love, Family, and Healing. In all, this novel speaks largely of God’s love and power to meet our needs, heal the sick and raise the dead. It is full of suspense. Are you out there longing to hear God, make sensitive decisions or you just want to have fun and enjoy an inspiring story, this novel is highly recommended. The lessons I learnt from this story are surely going to stay with me. Thanks to Lizzy Oyebola for writing such a great book. Religion / How To Enjoy Your Weekend by TemidayoRiches(f): 6:36pm On Aug 15, 2020 |
Source: http://www.temidayoriches.com/index.php/2020/08/15/how-to-enjoy-your-weekend/ I can remember when I was in primary school, in those days whenever I am going home with my younger brother on a Friday, we tell ourselves all the things we are going to do during the weekend, we rant about how we will do this and that, how we will sleep all day, how we will drink so much water when we get home if we were thirty at the time etc, but the excitement is always short-lived. Before we know it, it is Monday again and we have to start the cycle again. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t lazy, but Mathematics could make me wanna skip school. So, the trend has been like that since forever. Now, there are things we must do on weekends like this. If you ever think of maximizing and enjoying the weekend, these are things you should do; 1. Don't bring work home When I was in Secondary school ( Mayflower school, Ikenne), anytime we were to go on mid-term break or vacation, a lot of us deceive ourselves, we pack all our books with the hope that we would read everything before we come back but laughs, the reverse was always the case. Though there were times we had to force ourselves to read because of Welcome tests, the test we write every first day of resumption that formed a part of our continuous assessment. In fact, that was the major motivation for our reading during vacation when we had to. It may be hard to free your mind from pending jobs but it is possible. 2. Plan Kindly follow this link to continue reading http://www.temidayoriches.com/index.php/2020/08/15/how-to-enjoy-your-weekend/[sub][/sub]

SOURCE: http://www.temidayoriches.com/index.php/2020/07/14/wretched-but-saved/ started smoking at ten I went clubbing all evening till ten At twenty, marijuana was my pen I was so empty and barren. I thought Jesus belonged to Children, and Christianity ended in Athens To me, men should be slaughtered as hens I didn't care about other Men I robbed men of clothes and linen I was the worst of all Men. A day came, I felt near my end I was so heartbroken I wanted to make amends I felt my life was out of amends I tried but failure was the trend I was one whose world couldn't bend I felt terrible like my life would end Until I met "the beginning and the end.” He came in and changed my trend He rescued me, for His love never ends It is far above all stipends Now, His grace helps me make amends He is indeed a trusted friend That's not the end. Here's the gist By grace, I can now resist, Even when temptations persist His Spirit is there to assist And He holds my wrist I live by His word in my fist I'm changed, I'm an Evangelist. Dear, what's your History? Jesus can change your story Regardless of your history You don't have to end in the gory. Come to Jesus, Come into glory For His blood paid your dowry Don't end up in a sorrowful gory Come to Jesus, Join His Glory Hallelujah But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 JesusCares ©Bolanle Temidayo Ogunleye 1 Like

Literature / WHEN WORDS HURT- How To Heal From Hurtful Words by TemidayoRiches(f): 12:44pm On Jun 28, 2020 |
Source: www.temidayoriches.com Psychologists have found that memories of painful emotional experiences linger far longer than those involving physical pain. That is why you may find it difficult to forget some words that were said to you. A Yoruba adage says; "the tongue is boneless but it is the strongest". Words are powerful. You can't underestimate words. While researching for this blog post, I found an old adage and I believe it is wrong. It is one of those words our forefathers must have deceived themselves with; "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt". You will agree with me that that's not true, words hurt, words hurt deeply. I have heard some words that pushed me to become a better me and I have suffered from words that weighed me down for days like burdens, Words are delicate yet stronger than harmer, they can break any heart. A word said cannot be unsaid. How then can we deal with hurtful words? These tips have worked for me and I hope you find them helpful too. HOW TO HEAL FROM HURTFUL WORDS: 1. Dissect those words This is different from meditating on those words. A true analysis of those words will help you to know if the words have an iota of truth in them. Sometimes, it's not about you, it's about the person who spoke to you wrongly. So evaluate. If you find out you are wrong in any way, accept responsibility, work on yourself, and trust God to help you. 2. Forgive: Forgive yourself and the person that said those hurtful words, forgiveness doesn't mean the scar won't be there but it means you no longer shoulder the burden of proving anything to whosoever spoke the words. As someone said, Jesus still had the scar from the nails even when he had forgiven His prosecutors. If you find out it was because of something you did wrong earlier, forgive yourself still. We are humans and we make mistakes at times. 3. Love yourself: Someone once said nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission, and that is true. Have a good opinion about who you are. There is no better way to see yourself than the way God sees you. Regardless of your past, you are loved, you are His beloved and you are precious. Decide to love yourself, love your body. You owe yourself that duty. 4. Pray: This works like a magic... There are four more steps you need to take. Kindly finish reading through this link http://www.temidayoriches.com/index.php/2020/06/27/when-words-hurt/ Cc: Lalasticlala, ashsalt, Adunjesuara, Tinycoloredmira, Folanubi148, Bukoladauda, QueenMoyinoluwa, Gracebupo, dunayodawodu, PeterSuccess1, Daretobeone, Faithfulwrites2, lolaspen, Peculiar2020, TemidayoRiches, aved29, trophygracie, fumsin, nueltosin1, Adekemi01, ShalomA, Debbyboboye, Clemency24, Fayodamilola, Ruthina1, Honymix, Geniusepoxy, PeculiarInspiro, DebbP, Aymee, Multivite, TheEdenPlace20, Specialneedsedu, omeizadeborah, Oluwamarytalabi, treasuretaiwo, Botapreneur, Olajhidey22 1 Like

Father has big wide eyes Running to and fro No man can hide from them He sees how every man handles His daughter. Father's arms are widely stretched, A sweet embrace to anyone, A sure succor and shield at the battlefront Father never sleeps, He watches us all. When the time is past, Even if it's during breakfast Father's guards bring Men Home Though some never get in. Father's eyes are so big Nothing escapes them Father would ask how we used the twenty-four gifts rolled into each day and each year. Father will ask, maximize each time you have on earth. P. Wipe your tears Face your fears Stand up, my dear. Listen, a hoe is sharp but it is bent, bent for life. A knife is sharp too but it can’t cut a tree yet, don’t say it is doomed for life. A cutlass is sharp but too sharp for bread and too straight for ridges. Daughter, your friends are great You’re great and unique too Your purpose made you so. JesusCares B. Religion / Father, Lord! by TemidayoRiches(f): 10:59am On Apr 26, 2020 |
There is something that excites me. It gives me so much joy and confidence. If you see me walking with confidence, it is not because of a credit alert o . It is just this special feeling that comes with having and knowing God as a Father. Some months ago, I was in a conversation with a colleague and she said, 'Father, Lord! like Temidayo will say'. When she said so, it dawned on me that I have been so used to saying it. It has gotten to my subconscious such that, I can say it without thinking. If there is something I say when I need direction, or when I'm confused about anything, it is; Father, Lord! Even when I remember something funny, it is still the same Father Lord! Yorubas will say "Oro ti a ni ki baba ma gbo, baba na lo ma pari e"-We cannot keep secrets from the Father. He is the only One that can bring solutions to whatever mess or problems we get into. So, there is no use running away from Him even when we know we have messed up big time.(1John2:1) Never ever run away from God. Never! The truth is, nothing can change His love for us( Rom8:38-39) He knows us and He's ever ready to help us. What are you going through? Talk to the Father. Did I hear you say you are not born again? You need the Father. In fact, you are the one we have been waiting for. Yes, you! The family isn't complete without you. We need you. Yes, we do. You think you are bad, bah? That is one reason you need the Father's embrace. Come, come through Jesus. The Father's arm is wide enough for all of us.
