I think those of you seeing the annotation thing probably paid through the counter at the bank.

Someone just approached me of having the same issue. She was taken to a regular appointment calendar even when she is qualified for Interview Waiver. I recommend that she cancel the appointment and pay another fee as the only solution to get out of it.

She agreed. So I cancelled the appointment, Pay another fee ONLINE using a Card and answered the questions. This time I was also looking out for the annotation thing you guys were referring to but it didn't come up.

When we got to the calendar page, we saw April, 2025.

My Opinion: Pay online

No. The available date in Lagos now is February/March 2026 while August/September 2025 in Abuja

Can I pick an earlier date on the OIS website? I read that it is better to do so.

Choose consular appointment calender then
select the location and move forward, then go to ois portal to check for availability of date .

As for the annotations it's on your visa page so you didn't have any reason to look at the annotations when answering those questions?

I'm not sure I saw something like that. The questions were a series of questions similar to what was asked on the old portal.

Now, on the appointment calendar, there is Consular appointment calendar and OIS calendar, which one would I choose? Though there are no appointment date available on both calenders.

Hello guys, this is my first time of using this new portal. I qualify for IW after answering the necessary questions but I do not know how to proceed from here. The first screenshot is for my dashboard. The 2nd screenshot is what comes up after I click pending appointment. I don't know how to go further. I need help.

Ideally you are suppose to make the payment and after the payment had been confirmed/profile updated and you can now schedule, before you pick a date, start a new application and you will see the option for “self, spouse, child etc” then pick spouse and run the process you ran for yourself then you will end up with 2 payments but different profiles.

Not yet. But I'm in the payment stage already.

I put a call through to their call center.

I was informed that we no longer need an appointment to submit passports.

I went there earlier this week and just walked in. I was done in about 10 minutes.

Simple and easy.

Everyone should take note of this.

This is not the first time I'm doing this. I got a passport submission request letter but after creating an account on the vfs website, I couldn't find the "passport submission" option under the select appointment category.
