Contrary to the traditional character of Yorubas to be the strength holding the sovereingty together when Nigeria is thrown into political uncertainty, in this 2015 election leadership from the Westerners is absent.

My opinion is drawn from a handful of observations on recent events and their aftermath. I will bring my dialogue questions in piecemeal and Yorubas are invited to share inputs and opinions. Let's jump right into it.

1. Foreign armies from Niger, Chad and Cameroon have been brought on the sovereign soil of Nigeria to eradicate a three year old problem that our incompetent President find daunting to tackle and fix. Largely, these countries and their soldiers are ethnic extensions of the Northern people of Nigeria. Therefore their presence on this soil is a political and a military risk to the whole country. In my view, Jonathan, by this decision, has created a precedence in one of many vulnerabilities and put us into a bind from which the country may never be able to regain its full strength. Someone has to speak up and rebuke the President for this poor judgement. Such public activism is the purveyor of the Yorubas. The leadership know and see how this calculates into the future but yet remained silent, not cheering the decision, nor rebuking it.

2. Jonathan's administration is dry of ministerial appointments from the West. It is therefore imperative that the few Yorubas in there should remember the home they come from and uphold the pride and dignity of their roots. This is the single message Yoruba parents give when their children depart on a new breakthrough in life. Ekitigate is a shame, not on PDP, but on Yorubaland. What went wrong in Ekiti is about character, and not partisan politics. We have a returning ex Governor who lost his sense of honour and humility and bullied a General of the Army infront of his subordinates. Why is such a man governing anywhere in Yorubaland? A member of the House of Representatives, the legislative chamber of our democracy, a man who writes bills that become the law that govern our order in society, openly flaunting the law recklessly and without self restraint. The Governor and House member, these are people we label 'Honorables'. Which honor? Obanikoro and Adesiyan, one over army, the other over police, used the power of the federal gun and injustice to harass and intimidate their fellow Yorubas, just so they can earn favour and esteem with the Ijaw on top.

Instead of rising collectively to condemn the siege on Ekiti, Yoruba leaders say they support Jonathan because he will implement the agreements of the Confab and devolve power to the regions. Does what happen in Ekiti look like the touch of someone ready to let go of the power he Presides over, or one who will bend rules and order to satisfy his ambition for expansion of power?

How many agreements, signed and sealed, by past regimes are sitting waiting for implementation...some have been nulled by subsequent decrees and statutes. What is going to make this any different? In fact, how is a man incompetent at fighting insurgency in just a section of the country going to have the competence to enforce the outcome of confab on those across the country that reject and oppose it.

Are these Yoruba leaders reasoning when they endorse Jonathan in exchange for him to implement Confab agreements?

3. Newly posted IG of Police to zone2, Mbu, went on air and in public to declare that if a policeman is killed, there will be retaliation and twenty of "you" will be killed in return. Who is this "you" he was referring? First, in the history of police zone2, who are the people that confront police and army? Yorubas! Who are the victims of police brutality and murder during political riots in zone2? Yorubas! So who do you think the "you" in reference is? Mbu wants to murder twenty Yoruba children for every one policeman killed in resulting riots after the election. Yorubaland has been rioting for political justice back when Mbu ancestors were still hiding their naked.ness with leaves and barks. The loss of Ilorin began as a political riot. Kiriji war began as a political riot. Operation weti e started as a political riot. OPC was born out of political riot. NADECO was born out of political riot.

Mbu even went to insult Yoruba leaders by pushing the assault envelope to include Governors in zone2....he wants them arrested if they go where he told them not to go.

Where is Yoruba voice which true to character would normally have come out and demanded for a replacement in the zone2 IG post?

They are sitting silent, not wanting to rock the boat and not get regionalism. The truth is, the writing is on the wall, Jonathan does not have the competency to devolve power. Power devolution comes with political savvy and stern control....neither of which he posesses.

Yorubas are going to end up slipping in judgement and return Jonathan to power. The foreign armies brought in by Jonathan are going to collude with their brothers up North and oust Jonathan....then what
