I read your topic on snakes. Can you please explain anything about a snake that has many heads but only one body? Also, what can you say about a person dying when a python is killed? |

Fast and pray about it. After that adopt an orphan or a fatherless child and take care of her/him as you would your own. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Another issue related to this is the setting of alter/temple. Is this also the original christian custom? Everything that has to do with physical altar ended on the cross. From the time of the new testatament the temple/altar of God is a pure heart that worships in spirit and truth. The revelation of st. John clearly states that in the new city no alter was found except the lamb of God. I can't remember when the original christians have a vestry where people will come and meet him to give solution to their problem, rather, they were commanded to GO and make disciples, baptizing them and the signs and powerful works will follow them wherever they'll GO. Througout the book of Acts, nothing is said about building any alter or a table covered with white piece of clothes and things of that sort. Who introduced all these into christianity? |
Religion / Re: The Spirit And Freedom by Templee333(m): 9:03pm On Dec 04, 2023 |
The spirit that operated in the days of the original christians didn't need any schedule. Miracles were performed anywhere at anytime. They didn't have to print handbills and distribute to people inviting them to come and receive salvation on a specific day in a certain location. The spirit was given freely at all times. Even at midnight during Paul's sermon when a certain Euticus fell from an upper room, he was raised by the spirit. Peter's shadow healed the sick and raised the dead without any prior notice. The spirit was absolutely free to do anything at anytime. |

I notice the same custom in today's christian churches. In their churches' Sign board their days of activities are clearly stated. Was that the original christian custom? I can remember that one of the epistles reprimanded those who still observe days, weeks and new moon. Must the spirit of God be limited to a certain day or hour? |

Many years ago I went to a village diviner to make some findings, after I told him my purpose of visit he said I should come on a particular market day (Offiong), for that's the day of consulting the gods of our ancetors. I finally met him on the set day and he said everything, concluding with instructions on some sacrifices and rituals to perform. Again, these were to be performed on a specific market day (Obo). |

"Where the spirit of the Lord is,there's freedom", that's what i read from the bible. But there's something that I don't understand in these modern christian churches. Let me tell a story... |

I've never seen other animals and plant using money, yet they survive and live well. It is only humans that consider themselves as the most inteligent beings on this planet that, yes, only humans think that their lives depend on some pieces of paper. Even when you are competent in handling a job, they will never employ you until you show them some pieces of paper that tell them you are qualified. That is how far our inteligence could take us to. |

skywalker240:writing wasn't our culture. Our forefathers passed information to younger generations through oral communication. It's such a pity that we know Jewish ancestry and traditions more than our own and even teach them in schools. Some of us don't know the name of our great grand father. 1 Like 1 Share |

A newborn baby has more knowledge of heaven than a pastor, bishop and a pope. Heaven isn't a place you go to when you die. Heaven is always present with you but the hatred and jealousy and all manners of vile things in your heart does not allow you to become conscious of it. Your little baby is experiencing heaven until you start corupting it's pure mind with your worldly "wisdom". Parents and grown up are stumbling blocks to newborns, closing the door of heaven before them and introducing them to suffering. 64 Likes 5 Shares |

African tradition and Europeanism cannot be mixed. It is either you abandon one completely and practice the other. The plight of the modern African man is that of being half-european without having any root in the whiteman's tradition, neither is he rooted in African tradition nor in christianity. The confusion is endnless. |
Religion / Re: Taking Up The Cross by Templee333(m): 9:13am On Nov 24, 2023 |
THE CROSS BRINGS PERSECUTION After considering what it means to carry the cross, you may think that a cross bearer will be loved and respected by everyone, No! Far be it! A faithful cross bearer will surely face persecutions, hatred, abuses. A whole community will accuse you of being the cause of all its problem. People will think that you have to die in order for them to have peace. Even when a "Pilate" finds no fault in a cross bearer, the crowd will still shout: "Kill him". It is always the custom of earthly men to persecute and kill a cross bearer. This is because the inhabitants of the world hate peace and harmony. If a cross bearer is given the freedom to live and influence others, the whole mankind will be liberated, but this is not what the world wants. If there's anything that humans hate most,it is THE WAY of LOVE. This is because the human mind don't want to be liberated. |

When people around u hate u but you hate no one, when your name is being slandered but u slander no, when they repay you evil for good but you repay good for evil, then you are a faithful cross bearer. |
