Hezbollah should realize that it is hamas war that they bought for themselves, they should immediately sue for peace now if not Israel will finish them like the way they finished hamas. Israel is not out to play, mean business. They know that the safest way to defend yourself is to attack and when they attack they go all out Hezbollah will not come out of this war completely |

Whobedatte: Lebanon has no option. It was the earlier mistake of providing shelter to Hezbollah fighters thinking that they were helping them that gave Hezbollah the leverage to take over their country. That is why when Israel was hammering Hamas this time, fear did not allow Egypt and any other Arab country to open their border for them. Because they don’t want what happened to Lebanon to happen to them 4 Likes 1 Share |

There have been numerous allegations over the years that the Russian government, or entities associated with it, has been involved in the deaths of individuals, both within Russia and abroad. Below is a list of high-profile cases where the Russian government has been accused of being involved, although in many instances, Moscow has denied responsibility. ### 1. **Alexander Litvinenko (2006)** - **Cause of death**: Poisoning by polonium-210 - **Alleged involvement**: Former FSB officer turned critic of the Russian government. He died in London after being poisoned with radioactive polonium. British authorities accused Russian agents Andrei Lugovoi and Dmitry Kovtun of administering the poison. ### 2. **Boris Nemtsov (2015)** - **Cause of death**: Assassinated (shot) - **Alleged involvement**: Nemtsov was a prominent Russian opposition leader and vocal critic of Vladimir Putin. He was shot dead near the Kremlin in what many believe was a politically motivated assassination. ### 3. **Anna Politkovskaya (2006)** - **Cause of death**: Assassinated (shot) - **Alleged involvement**: Politkovskaya was an investigative journalist and outspoken critic of the Kremlin, particularly for its policies in Chechnya. She was shot dead in the elevator of her apartment building in Moscow. Many suspect her death was linked to her reporting. ### 4. **Sergei Magnitsky (2009)** - **Cause of death**: Alleged medical neglect and torture in prison - **Alleged involvement**: Magnitsky, a lawyer and accountant, exposed massive tax fraud implicating Russian officials. He was arrested and died under suspicious circumstances in a Moscow prison. His death led to the creation of the "Magnitsky Act" in the U.S., targeting Russian officials involved in human rights abuses. ### 5. **Natalia Estemirova (2009)** - **Cause of death**: Assassinated (abducted and shot) - **Alleged involvement**: Estemirova was a human rights activist who investigated abuses in Chechnya. She was kidnapped and later found shot dead. Many believe her murder was tied to her work uncovering human rights violations in the region. ### 6. **Sergei Skripal (2018)** - **Cause of attack**: Poisoning by Novichok nerve agent (survived, but hospitalized) - **Alleged involvement**: Skripal, a former Russian military intelligence officer who defected to the UK, was poisoned in Salisbury, England. British authorities accused Russian operatives of using a Novichok nerve agent, though Skripal survived. His daughter Yulia was also affected but survived. ### 7. **Vladimir Kara-Murza (2015, 2017)** - **Cause of attacks**: Poisoning (survived two separate incidents) - **Alleged involvement**: Kara-Murza is a Russian opposition figure and journalist. He survived two poisonings (in 2015 and 2017), which many believe were orchestrated by Russian state operatives due to his criticism of the government. ### 8. **Boris Berezovsky (2013)** - **Cause of death**: Found dead under suspicious circumstances (alleged suicide) - **Alleged involvement**: Berezovsky was a former oligarch who fell out of favor with the Russian government. He was found dead in his home in the UK. While authorities ruled his death a suicide, many suspect foul play due to his opposition to Putin. ### 9. **Mikhail Lesin (2015)** - **Cause of death**: Blunt force trauma (initially reported as a heart attack) - **Alleged involvement**: Lesin, a former Russian media executive and advisor to Putin, was found dead in a Washington, D.C., hotel. Though initially thought to have died from a heart attack, an autopsy revealed blunt force trauma. Some suspect foul play, though no concrete evidence has been provided. ### 10. **Stanislav Markelov and Anastasia Baburova (2009)** - **Cause of death**: Assassinated (shot) - **Alleged involvement**: Markelov was a human rights lawyer, and Baburova was a journalist. Both were shot in broad daylight in Moscow. Markelov had been involved in many high-profile cases against Russian military officials and state actors. ### 11. **Yuri Shchekochikhin (2003)** - **Cause of death**: Alleged poisoning (symptoms of toxic exposure) - **Alleged involvement**: Shchekochikhin was a journalist and member of the Russian parliament who investigated corruption and the FSB. He died under mysterious circumstances, with many suspecting poisoning, though the cause was officially reported as a severe allergic reaction. ### 12. **Nikolai Glushkov (2018)** - **Cause of death**: Strangulation (initially ruled as hanging, later ruled as murder) - **Alleged involvement**: Glushkov was a former Russian businessman and associate of Berezovsky. He was found dead in his London home, and his death was later ruled a murder. Some believe his death was connected to his opposition to the Russian government. ### 13. **Aleksei Navalny (2020)** - **Cause of attack**: Poisoning by Novichok nerve agent (survived) - **Alleged involvement**: Navalny, one of Putin's most prominent political opponents, was poisoned on a flight in Russia. German authorities confirmed the use of the Novichok nerve agent. Navalny survived after receiving treatment in Germany, and many blame the Russian government for the attack. ### 14. **Paul Klebnikov (2004)** - **Cause of death**: Assassinated (shot) - **Alleged involvement**: Klebnikov, an American journalist of Russian descent and editor of *Forbes Russia*, was shot in Moscow. His investigative journalism on corruption and the oligarchy was thought to be a motive for his murder. These cases represent only some of the high-profile deaths and poisonings where the Russian government, or individuals linked to it, have been accused of involvement. Many of these cases remain unresolved or disputed, with investigations often hampered by political factors. 1 Like |

Literature / Re: Write a Short Story of about 100 Words by Ten06(m): 10:14am On Sep 07 |
Under President Tinubu's watch, Nigeria faced ongoing security challenges. Banditry, terrorism, and kidnappings continued to threaten daily life. However, Tinubu's administration took bold steps, deploying advanced technology and strengthening military presence in critical regions. Collaboration with neighboring countries led to some successes against insurgents, while the government also focused on community policing and intelligence gathering. Despite these efforts, the struggle remained intense, with critics calling for more urgent reforms. Citizens lived in cautious hope, watching closely as the government worked to balance security with human rights and freedom, praying for lasting peace in the troubled nation. 1 Like |
