Yes. I am billed for next week. I had to request a reschedule due to work-related issues and travel logistics that made it near impossible to meet up the 1 day notice.

Were you able to reschedule from the portal or did you write a mail?

I am not sure if they have alternative plans for interviewees that can't make it to Lagos at this time. I contacted for virtual option via the contact person on the interview invite but haven't gotten any response. EH.

@x-fire: The graduate internship programme(for Total Nig Plc i.e. Downstream) was initially scheduled to commence June 4, but it has been put on hold for now. I cald d HR person in charge to find out. Some of the guys who shud be on the prog havent evn done medicals. I wud lik ur friend to re-affirm his claims if he's dat sure.

having Hiv aids wil not mak u lose a job, at least I knw major oil & gas companies dnt discriminate. However u dnt expect sm1 wit a broken diaphragm or weak heart to be given a machine operator position. D company wil be hastening such person's death. U remember our ex-president?

D very comprehensive ones wil include chest x-ray, ecg (electrocardiogram) to find out if there's a defect/hole in ones heart,blood wil be drawn for various tests such as Hiv,genotype,blood group,etc;urine analysis, s**t analysis, weight, height, blood pressure, no of heart beats per min. D less comprehensive ones wil av a shorter list

Are you sure you dont work for Total? You know too much to be an outsider.

I work for Total and he got everything he said down to a Tee. The pay is much the same for Engineers and Non-Engineers, what makes the difference is the offshore allowance for people who work on the field.
I really could not comprehend the salary initially because i never believed a company can pay that much.
But then, like we use to say among my friends, it is a sin not to work in an oil company.

@felibaby, Please cud u shed more light on this difference between Total's upstream and downstream remuneration for entry level for engineers and non-engineers alike. The figures will be helpful.

This thread has been my most admired on this site. The comments av been very insightful and modestly presented. Tanimola22 et al, u guys r d bomb (not boko haram o)...lol. I'm in love-did I say in love!- deep in love with Total and let me correct d impression dat downstream doesnt pay much. Agreed, they dont pay as much as upstream, but the 2011 report of Total Nig Plc, on page 42 states that out of d 472 workers, 428 earned above 4M in emolument-and dats 90% of their strenght o. I'll try to upload d stuff if it goes thru. I pray we all get to d top of our aspirations.

I equally wrote and passed the test, submitted my credentials as at when due, but havent heard from them. A source said they will start calling soon but they actually get pple into their work force in Jan and Sept. So keep d faith
