Drove to the island yesterday. Spent over 3hours in traffic and the rider refused to pay the full charge. Was too tired to start dragging with him. Waited on the island till 9 to a set destination trip. Uber didn't allow me, taxify riders were going the other way. After 30 mins, drove to Obalende picked some people and dropped them at Oworo. At Oworo picked some other people and dropped them at Berger. The joy on their faces when I refused to collect money from them made me sleep well. Money is not everything. |

bizlinks: A customer actually but i recommend taxify. Uber drivers are very rude, never friendly and always in a hurry just because they gonna have 400n after cancellation. There's no difference between uber and taxify drivers. It's like APC and PDP. It probably was a defection in the mood of the Individual |

ogunvic41: UBER-average rating of your last 500 trips, a single poor rating(1) will drop ur rating drastically. Most riders on UBER rate low because they aren't happy with UBER and the drivers in Lagos the are embittered, harsh and see drivers as potential rude guys... TAXIFY- average rating of ur last 40 trips... Riders are friendly, recently TAXIFY drivers have been cool and arrive ASAP, the drivers can tolerate because no cancellation fee....riders are very happy and calm. HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR RATINGS 1. Call riders before they call u and address them politely and professionally 2. Announce your arrival and greet them with a friendly smile.. 3.Male riders are easy to please but female riders are devils so act carefully they complain about everything and willing to rate u low because most of them know the implications so play smart. Be jovial with the female riders, they like friendly conversation especially the ones that sit beside u 4.Your car must be neat, A/c must be super cold 5.Have aux cable and extra charger, ask them if they need either of it 6.offer mints or gums... They love orbit 7. Take riders preferred route or drive thru shorter routes to avoid traffic... Riders want to get to destination asap 8. Give free WiFi 9. Drive carefully, professionally and drive fast 10.Don't argue with riders 11.apologize when they complain about anything 12.your dressing is important... DRESS WELL. Ladies like guys that dress well... 13.Engage them in friendly conversation... DRIVE SMART... LETS KEEP LAGOS MOVING... WE ARE PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS... WE ARE DAILY INCOME EARNERS... WE ARE DIFFERENT... CALL ME FOR MORE INFO-08032800453 GOOD MORNING Number 3 and 12 |

Monsur1: I disagree with u take look from the strong man in thrend ogunvic .see his rating last week when he said a rider mistakenly rate him low and the rating drop to 4.48.can u gorge him with that at that period.dos that mean he doesn't know how to drive, maintain, treat or talk to rider does it means he understand the platforms Of course we can't gorge him with that. What happened to the strong man is an exceptional case. We are talking ceteris paribus sir. |

iamspeedracer: Nissan almera gave me a rating got switched to a Corolla and my average weekly rating hasn't gone below 4,88 In this business riders will judge you based on your car. Only a few will over look the car. Not disputing this. My point is there are many more folks who drive the same Corolla and have a rating below 4.5. Attitude. |

deedee44: I'm still trying to understand why car owners lay emphasis on rating when looking for drivers, does a driver's good rating guarantee he's going to use your car well? I think there are great drivers with low ratings because they previously drove a small / substandard car Very true, but ratings too can be used as a yardstick to measure, if not the diligence but the personality of the driver. Sane way graduating with a first class doesn't mean a candidate has the right attitude. In this business, I think attitude of the driver is key. My opinion. |

Uber that don't mean well for drivers. They have a great app and customer service.
Taxify that care about drivers. Dodgy app and crappy customer service.

Really dont know what the point of argument is. Let anyone buy the car he chooses to buy. The thread is digressing. But we all know that Toyota is the most ubiquitous car in Nigeria for obvious reasons and even the World agrees. |

So let me share my experience here.
Been using taxify for the last couple of days but yesterday I put on my uber app around unilag and was about to set my trip to ikeja where I reside when a request came in. A nice female voice was on the phone and asked me to pick them up in front of an hostel opposite the school. I got there and there was 3 hijab wearing ladies all covered from top to bottom. They all hopped into the backseat and before I could ask them where we were headed, they asked me to switch off the stereo and thus begun our long, quiet trip to iyana ipaja. Traffic, bad roads and I got compensated with a token from our friends at uber. They thanked me well for the trip and I warmly said goodbye to them; my frustration was not a fault of theirs. Luckily, a taxify request came in and my frustration kind of withered as I made my way to the client. Ended up being a good evening |

entparrot: All Uber riders deserve the worst treatment, they support Uber for the slavery, they have the option of using taxify, so they should just quit Uber. In as much as you can criticize Uber, the riders have nothing to do with it. If the shoe was on the other side of the leg, I'm sure many folks here will use Uber too. |
