usbcable: Bros,
transfer rumours are ALWAYS FILLED with lies.
Joke below is for you to cool off the tensions I understand. Fans could do that, it's all part of the season. But I wouldn't expect a renowned journalist to be peddling such lies. |

nickvanilla: So according to reports, Messi wants to talk but Barcelona are denying him a meeting except he wants to renew? Ridiculous!!
I just hope we won't get to see another Gareth Bale situation with Messi. That would be damning for his legacy.
Forget the fact that people are cheering/tweeting about him now. Clubs are powerful and can reduce any player's value within a few months. Don't think Messi would be any exception.
If I were Messi's lawyer, I would advice him to swallow his pride, make peace and see out his contract for the next year. At the end, people will respect him more for not starting a war with a sick board. All Messi needs to do now is get back to work. Attend training and be professional. When the season starts, he should do his talking on the pitch as usual, by putting in classy performances; and then the board will come back seeking his white Argentine asss with extended lips. |

joviegghead: Coutinho?? I doubt it. I know Koeman has said he'll play De Jong in his natural position as a holding midfielder. Which means he probably keep space for an AM like Coutinho. Puig has a chance to.
De Jong, Puig, Coutinho. Not bad if you ask me.
As for Fati, I don't know. If Messi leaves, it will be -
Fati, Griezmann, Dembele who'll bench Fati? The only contender is Pedri. He's got more experience in terms of playing time than Fati. Hmm A lot of youngstars. |

Xanslyte: My dear tespidd if those 10 lines of beating about the bush didn't answer your question then that means even Google won't be able to probably answer you.Like I said when Messi goes you can pack your bags and follow him to city while we the loyal Barca fans would support the club whether low or high.Just because I believe he's the goat doesn't mean he is God.He has dutifully served us consistently over the years so I see no reason why we can't grant him his request seeing he's fed up as at now.Mes que un club. I thought as much. You don't even have any season. Someone probably dashed you an Aba made Barca jersey one day and since then you started calling yourself a Barca fan. |

joviegghead: I remember given an analysis on so of the negatives Messi pose to the team.
Report has it that when Koeman spoke with Messi, he told him point blank that there would be no more privileges. The man is not blind. Messi saves us with is brilliance, but worshipping him has had some counterproductive effect on team play. The managers brought didn't help the situation. I remember when Messi was misbehaving because Enrique pushed him to the wing. It took iniesta and xavi to talk sense into him. Messi remains the greatest of all time but sometimes even the excesses of the best needs to be curbed if the system(team) as whole wants to progress. Messi is just being made a scape GOAT for a failed system. *Imagine a club that would swap Arthur for Pjanic. *Imagine a club that would pass on the opportunity to sign Alphonso Davies because he is Canadian. *Imagine a club that has changed more than 3 managers in 3 seasons. *Imagine a club with no proper playing philosophy were only one player is scoring and creating 90 percent of the goals. 90 percent of you hypocrites would have left a long time ago if you were Messi. |

joviegghead: A Barca fan doesn't spew thrash and doom. If you are really a Barca fan you will understand that the club still has the quality and resources to pull through.
All you see is Messi. Use your head, so many silver linings exist in Messi's imminent departure. Painful that he is leaving, but he was always gonna leave on day.
Barca will rise. We didn't die when Ronaldinho, eto'o, or Neymar left. Except you want to keep deluding yourself and gloat in that "We are Barca narrative" You would realise that this present Barca team is bleeped. Messi is the only thing that made it respectable. When Ronaldinho, Etoo and Deco were departing we were left with a very good world class core consisting of Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Puyol, Yaya. Who's taking over after Messi? How has the club being managed for the last 3 years? Keep on pissing in the wind. "We are Barca:". |
