I'm not really interested in this argument but as a United fan, I have to set things straight.

First of all, we never had intentions of selling Ronaldo, Sir Alex vehemently rebuffed consecutive Madrid bids but Ronaldo clearly had his mind on going.

The craziest thing here was that, Sir Alex actually begged Ronaldo to avoid a move to Real Madrid and if he had made up his mind, he should at least move to Barcelona who actually bid much higher than Madrid.
