@ Xtianburg, pls when are we expected to hear from FBN since AC will be rounded up tomorrow, and what next?

xtanburg: Last year, 180,000 persons wrote the aptitude test across the federation.

1,000 persons made it to the assessment centre, which was conducted in Lagos, Kano and Enugu, then 208 candidates made it finally into the prestigious training school and eventually to the Bank. So lets hope this year FBN increases the quota and accommodate more persons as the Bank needs more hands.

So if 1,500 made it to the AC, then I think more candidate will be invited to the TS.

There are lots of things to say, but I rather just tell you the basic things you need to know now. But subsequently, I will fill you in on events as they unfold. Just keep believing and pray hard. This time its not about how good or intelligent you are, its just favour and God's grace.

@Xtianburg, If 1000 peopple took part in the AC last year and about 208 candidates were called to TS, then, in this year's 1500 about 312 candidates will be called to TS.. By my calculations sha

yes; I asked my assesor @ Enugu how soon they will get back to us and he said 'as soon as they are done with the interviews'. So any moment from wednesday... Moreover, Xtianburg had earlier said the personality test will follow in about a week after the AC

...same with me here oo; I missed the FirstBank test but wrote the NMC test in Lagos. I was successful and have since done my Assessment Centre at Enugu...I know God will see me through. Amen

David0: Where did u do dis test Abj or Lag. Cos I have a feeling dis lady doesn't know much about the last recruitment. Plus everytime u call d Hr tel number, whoever answers d call doesn't usually hv an idea of wats happening, dey just put u on hold while dey get clarification.

This is very true. I was in Enugu for the FBN Assessment Centre and I called Dapo (MBL. H.R) they are presently in Enugu conducting Test and interviews for Enugu region. He said calls will start coming-in again in 2 weeks time for Abuja region... Not all the people in the H.R unit have infor about our recruitment. So relax I feel all is well..

Audinowing: Don't mind them. Do u know that the iv was actually for a fresh test? When I tried to find out from the lady in charge about the nextzon stuff she told me she is not aware of any contract with nextzon. That mbl conduct their test themselves. Guys I must confess that I am already giving up on mbl. I think one should channel his energy to other profitable things than waiting for like ever.

I think there is a mix up some where. You should have clarified with Dapo @ H.R, those ladies @ H.R don't always have enough on what's going on...I strongly believe they don't know you have done interview with them

ifycyril: the first rule of assessment centers is JUST RELAX!!! YOU CAN NEVER REALLY PREPARE FOR IT. just know d tasks which i guess u all know and their importance...u can never know what d details of d task will be but knkw that for
GROUP TASKS - They want to know how effective you can be as a team player,how assertive u are and d ability to yake initiative
INDIVIDUAL TASK- How creative u are,ur problem solving and analytical thinking skills
INTERVIEWS are usually competence based i.e they will want to know when u v worked on tasks,with people,ur work behaviour. so have examples.
Just relax. its not like preparing for a test. its more like role play so u will v to improvise

I was in the Second batch today @ Enugu we about 56,..there is nothing like Aptitude test! There was a session for Critical Analysis; which was aimed @ assessing the decions you can make given critical options as regards cost..calculations were involed sha 'cos there were some VAT deductions @ 17.5%. There is little time. You have to read through the Scanerio and answer 20 questions; True, False, can not say. All in 20 minutes

The case study in the gruop work relates to CSR. Making decisions that relates to settling disputes between your organisation and the host community with limited resources and @ the same time advertising the company. The individual task (case study) was on Human resource and sales (dats the P presenattion). We were to identify the problems of the company, the causes, solutions to the problems and the expected results if your recommendations are effected, all these in 20 min

Thanks be to God! The AC @ Enugu today was splendid, I had a swell time. Guys, I will advice you just be yourself. You need to be confident and also a lot of speed is needed @ the Preparation of your presentation. In the interview sessions, you will be asked questions on your past leadership qualities and how you handle certain leadership scenarios. Questions will be asked also on role as a team player. The Group session is to assess your your activeness in a team work

danniyal: u are very right. Did the assessment last year& couldnt make it.d test consist of 20 questions(mostly banking & financial maths), for the group work, a topic will b given for u to discuss as a group & u will be scored as d discussion goes on-so ensure u contribute. For d individual presentation, make sure u know how to use power point(especially how to create slides) cos a topic will be given to u & a computer to prepare your presentation using power point.

@ Danniya, thanks for your infor. Pls can you share your experience with us. What criteria is used to determine who is successful and who is not, at this satage. Is it the aggregate scores or one's performance in each assessment. Pls tell us what you think didn't make scale through. Thanks in anticipation

Congrats to you guys that got invites, prepare hard it may be a chat with the ED 'cos one of the Nextzone peep we meet @ Abuja told me reliably that she has been scheduled to meet with the ED tomorrow.

@ PastoMOB, they are calling people based on competencies and the different units in the Bank. Some Graduate Trainees too were called recently so exercise some patience they will definitely call

One other girl, Nextzon peep also got a call this evening. She was asked some questions too. And that the next unit is 'Audit and internal control unit'. Guys start preparing ooh, calls may start coming in any moment now
