VirginFinder: If there is anything I hate to do in my, it is to deceive myself.if this is true . Then may God help nigeria |
Osama10: Why can't the army unleash the so called weapons from the bama barracks on boko haram instead of allowing boko haram to capture their barrack and use the same weapons on them, I don't get it.according to some reports here about what happened yesterday,it was the airforce bombing of the barracks which caused casualty on the nigeria army side that made the soldiers abandon the place . You can get threads on it on nl .the soldiers repelled the attack initially but we must understand something boko haram fighters too are wearing camouflage just like tthe army which makes identification somehow difficult for our soldiers . |
jmaine: They are indirectly involved in the conflict, there is the notion that Maiduguri is next after Bama and they are one of the main target considering Shekau recent threat that he is coming for them . . .okay, I think you have some very valid points . Let's pray the nigeria army clears bama of those bh fighters early |
Djicemob: U r asking of pictures,if they show u pictures now u'll say its photoshopped. Are u using ur own type of propaganda machine to support BH? Where are pictures of Bama overrun by BH?bros try and understand . During the allied forces invasion of iraq, despite the fact that the us forces was just miles from Baghdad, sadam military chiefs were still making comments and showing pictures of plane blown and soldiers captured. The silence of our military authorities isn't helping matters . What do u think soldiers in other barracks and states will be thinking? A message needs to be sent that the army is in control that will ginger the remaining soldiers . Don't forget the saying that says silence means consent. If you keep silent about a lie told against u that means you accept it |
jmaine: You are an unfortunate imbec1le suffering from generational foolishness . . . . The brainless pig doesn't even know that the BBC has been flip flopping with different versions of this conflict in recent times . . . .but as much as I would love to believe the civilian jtf. We should ask ourselves . When did the civilian jtf become the information organ of the nigeria military? If olukolade had made a statement then nigerians will know that the army pro has spoken but the civilian jft isn't any official organ, |
kabba7: Were and when did you guys confirm this stories .?what was tb prophecy? |
koboko69: I agree with u..i know exactly whats inside bama. But i still dont understand the effrontery those animals have to try to take bama. Reports reaching from my friends jist now is that the insurgents came in large numbers with heavy artillery and fire power. Its been difficult to repel them...but they have been trying thier best. Not like the militants have control...but the battle is tough...and that we should keep praying.nigerian soldiers are in a very very difficult situation.don't let us forget that this boko haram are also wearing nigerian army uniforms which makes it difficult for the geniUe soldier to identify. I don't envy nigeria soldiers but I have always said it that the civilian jtf is a good way of flushing out boko haram if their set up isn't infiltrated. Bama is an important town to both tthe army and rebels and the outcome of this battle will go a long way in deciding the enventual winner,if bh wins it will boost their confidence ,if they lose they will retreat and the army will be able to inflict a crushing defeat on them. Let's pray the nigeria army. Wins |
manosteel: Still thinking how we got to where we are today.same question I kept asking myself yesterday |
wellmax: Fine! if there is no evidence from both parties, why are Nigerian especially NLders so gullible to start irrelevant e-battles, name calling and blame game.I think it will be right to assume that tthe battle for bama is still ongoing . And that maybe the reason for no official comment yet |
What stops the military from having a press department , buy a video camera and take some shots of what you have done , this will go a long way in reassuring the civilians and also in lifting the morale of the army. And thirdly this will make sahara desert reporters lose credibility ,rather than issue a statement. Every army uses the propaganda machine the nigerian army shouldn't be different |
koboko69: I dont get....i thought the military claimed to be in control of Bama.....what then are they bombarding in Bama again? Do u bombard a place you are in control of?reports from soldiers that entered maiduguri isn't so good about the situation in bama . Bama barracks is very very crucial and only a very dummb goat will believe that boko haram fighters don't know how important that barrack and town is. If it falls just like ppl have been saying since yesterday ,the best solution will be for the army to completely bomb that place because if those boko guys gets their hands on the equipments their, then it is a sorry case. |
In other words , bama did indeed fell into enemy hands yesterday and now the military want to regain control. This isn't good enough. Let's just pray that bh doesn't get their hands on the weapons in bama barracks |
boofydon: i'm interested if the price is cheap. What price are u willing to sell it?o I only purchase and send it down for customers . But call the number on my signature . My man in ibadan will give u details, but please see and inspect the items before paying . Don't worry the price will be good. |
Bash ali is still on this issue!!!!! Is it by force for fg to sponsor a fight? Why can't bash go to private organisations for fUnding! |
chuksp09: what do you think of his response to this situation?you chop shit. What do u want us to think?how is their marital problem of any importance to us?will their marital problems solves nigeria problems or what?infact whatt is your own business in chris marriage? Better face ur own life, chris is a multi millionaire who doesn't even know you exist ! |
7 units of touch2 bb9810 will be in ibadan by saturday . If you are interested let me know, |
tokunboh: You are quoting BBC again, they are as confused as the average Nigerian who does not know anything about what is going on in Bama. You need to read through their different and conflicting versions of events at Bama over the past 24hours. They are trying very hard to save face, the are really eager for Boko Haram to take over Bama.bros I really wish to believe u and follow ur own version but the military hasn't done much to let people know what is actually happening. For the sake of reassuring ppl that they are in control of bama , they should have organised their own video crew to take images and make videos of the military in bama . They don't need to use media houses for this , every country does such in times of war. They make the videos then send it out to media houses |
This prophesy should be taken seriously |
tokunboh: If your post is based on reports from Sahara reporters, then you are reporting on what you know nothing about cos Sahara reporters don't know sh*t. As I speak to you, more BH members that escaped NA fire in Bama are being mopped up by the NA and Civilian JTF. They are being prevented from sneaking into Maiduguri hence the reason for the curfew in Maiduguri.Nigeria's militant Islamist group Boko Haram has seized the key north-eastern town of Bama after fierce fighting with government forces, residents say. Thousands of civilians have fled the town, along with soldiers, they added. However, military sources said the army was still in control of Bama, the second biggest town in Borno state. Last month, Boko Haram said it had established an Islamic state in the towns and villages it controls in north- eastern Nigeria. If confirmed, the capture of Bama would be an extremely significant development and would raise concerns that Boko Haram's next target will be Maiduguri, the state capital about 70km (44 miles) away, says BBC Hausa service editor Mansur Liman in the capital, Abuja R Residents told BBC Hausa that Boko Haram captured Bama, which the 2006 census showed had a population of about 270,000, after heavy fighting on Sunday and Monday. The militants, who travelled in tanks and armoured trucks, first seized the military barracks in the town, they said. Soldiers and residents fled on foot, many of them walking all the way to Maiduguri, residents told the BBC. Nigerian security sources said the assault had been repelled and about 70 militants had been killed, news agencies report. The air force was used to "dislodge the swamp of terrorists" from Bama, the military said on its Twitter account. An overnight curfew has been imposed in Maiduguri to prevent "infiltration" by militants after the "heavy casualties" they suffered, it added. Boko Haram's five-year insurgency has intensified in recent months despite the deployment of thousands of extra troops to the worst-affected areas. In April, the militants captured more than 200 girls from a boarding school in the town of Chibok, also in Borno state. m.bbc.com/news/world-africa-29021037 |
Nwoke2012: Can somebody actually walk 60km in one day? All these mallams sef.when ur life is threatened ,no distance is too long to cover in a day |
If boko haram continues this way, then it is just a matter of time before the military will take over from gej. BecaUse it is obvious he can't handle the situation . I am sure some generals will be harbouring and nursing this idea now . |
Qelvin: Did BH really capture Bama? Cause all indications from this sudden reports point to such possibility...bama has fallen, let's not fool ourselves. And most likely some bh informants and spies are already inside maidUguri sniffing and spying the area ,an attack on maiduguri is only a matter of time . And tthe worst of all is that nigerian soldiers have lost the zeal to fight, morale is at the lowest.if a strong attack is launched on maiduguri I won't be surprised if those solidiers simply take off their uniforms and run |
Lathunjimi: It's a pity story has changed tonight...where did nigeria get it wrong?how did we get into this mess?and how did we allow this mess to get to this level? It is really a sad story, this may be the beginning of the end of nigeria ,because with this militant successful attacks ,other islamic terror groups will want to associate with them and support them . |
Tex42: Don't know how true this story is,but all i can say and of which i'm sure of is that a guy in ma lodge just recieved a call from his friend(a second lieutenant) this evening, telling him that he is quiting the NA,his words- 'baba i dey come back house o!'. he said that he was in hiding as he made the call.I won't be surprised if the fg brings in foreign mecenaries to help the army, but this will further compound the issue |
Litmus: Strange report. So, Nigerian Army met stiff resistant by Terrorists then the Nigerian army turned and fled, running past the civilians, as they did so. Then the Nigerian Army air-plains came and bombed the Nigerian Army Barack leading to quote:- casualties on the side of Nigerian soldiers.withing the next 24hrs , we shall know the truth |
teeowl: please can you provide link to your source?saharareporters.com/2014/09/01/soldiers-abandon-bama-battle-front-air-force-jets-bomb-barracks. And if you don't believe sahara ,there is a living witness post in this page about someone seeing nigerian soldiers arriving in maiduguri looking exhausted and forlon. |
About 500 soldiers have fled the battle front in Bama after initially overwhelming Boko Haram militants who tried to take over the city earlier today. Bama is the second largest city in Borno State, after Maiduguri, the state capital. Saharareporters sources said the militants arrived in Bama as early 5:30a.m.but met stiff resistance from soldiers in the city. As the battle drew into the evening, however, about 500 soldiers initially drafted in to fight the insurgents fled to Maimalari Barracks in Maid, with thousands of civilians fleeing the city. Trouble started when an Air Force jet sent in to assist the ground troops bombed the Bama Barracks after civilians that had sought refuge there were sent away by soldiers who then abandoned their weapons and sought to flee with the civilians. A few minutes later, the jet bombed the barracks, leading to casualties on the side of soldiers. A military source told SaharaReporters tonight that Bama has become vulnerable and may be taken by the militants, who are believed to have gone for reinforcements. Earlier today, over 50 militants were reportedly killed in fighting in Moraraba village, near Bama. Hundreds of Bama residents were reported to have streamed into Maiduguri, where they are lodging in Mairi Day Government Secondary school on Bama Road. |
wazoboy: very funny! u min NA were winning and they refused to consolidate their position while BH tactically retreated only to come back stronger and our NA just ran? I can inly say, thats funny!don't blame our soldiers ,according to reports it was a nigerian air force jet that bombed the barracks causing heavy casualties on the fg army side ,thereby causing the fg army to abandon the front |
olajide8: My spirit was damped immediately I saw this- 45killed - are they sure they are not our soldiers*the simple undiluted truth is that this case has gotten out of hand and from all indications it will be very difficult to dislodge boko haram quickly from borno and that is even if they don't make more incursions into other states. We may well have to accept the fact that they are here to stay ,with the way the fg is combating them. |
How close is bama to the state capital? And what is the importance of bama to both the goverment troops and boko haram rebel army? |
Rikidony: WHO POSTED THIS SHIATT FOR UR INFO BOKO HARAM IS TOTALLY IN CONTROL OF BAMA AS WE SPEAKsaharareporters.com/2014/09/01/soldiers-abandon-bama-battle-front-air-force-jets-bomb-barracks |
