My advice to ppl is: Alexpress is not that cheap cos a seller told me that Aliexpress collects their own percentage on any sales made on their site so for that reason, they hike price of things. Things are even cheaper somehow in Naija plus d 3weeks + long wait and d 500 naira u pay 2collect the rubbish they send.

I remember a wig i bought for 4k on aliexpress. I saw that same wig at Wuse market and it was sold for 2500.

And even d wristwatch that's giving me all these headache. It was even cheaper in Nigeria.

So b4 u go buying things u hope 2sell in Nigeria. Do ur market survey in Naija 1st and know if its cheaper in Nigerian markets or not.

A university student told me she goes to Ghana to buy footwears at a cheaper rate and sells as well as supplies to resellers&she's using it to live big in school.

She said she buys flat shoes for 1k + and sells for 2k + and also buys silpas for 700-900 naira (depending) and sells for 1500 +. Where wil u eva find flat shoe for 2k on aliexpress? So those of u looking 4cheap things to sell and make profit; y not try Ghana.

Btw,i wonder how come Ghana market is cheaper than Naija markt. Is it because of theie cedis or what? i knw their currency is now stronger than our naira now. Hmmmm
when I mentioned the ghana market 2 weeks ago many thought I was joking. When ppl hear importation they only think of aliexpress and alibaba and they waste money and time. This china market has ruined many that started this thread and also uplifted manym it is up to each person to THINK THINK THINK where his or her market is. Many import from cameroon ,benin ,niger and make handsome profit. Lastly ,people should sit down and THINk not everyone can be an importer ,there are still many services opportunities in this sector that needs to be tapped .

Search for texaco1 and read his this month's post here.
bros ,believe me it is stupidly irritatingly annoying when I come to this thread and see ppl asking question of what they can buy to resell. It is stupidity of the highest order. Why can't ppl just sit down and research and come up with things they are comfortable with selling and easily at par with their budget. Before i remember when I was in ghana ,when ppl and traders were shuttling between accra and lagos buying ankara and making stipend and small profits ,a friend of mine then was only importing polybags and designer supermarket carrier polytene bags to nigeria. He was making hundreds of thousands by each trip with less capital ,less wahala and less custom problems.the problem is ppl find it difficult to think and therefore want others to do the thinking for them. Then while ppl were rushing to dubai and china ,many traders in lagos were coming to ghana to buy biscuits, chocolates and butter . So if anyone doesn't know what to sell ,let the person go and sell pure water at least that doesn't require any brain work. Egbon mi,how is work?keep it up bro. Did u hear from wale?

You just said it all. The Chinese are brutal businessmen who just wants to maximise profit and most newbies fell into their trap by purchasing low quality goods @ an exorbitant price.

But if you know WHAT YOU ARE SOURCING FOR it is easy for you to sift through all the chaff to get the quality you want @ a price you can make profit.

It is also very important to have a market to what you are importing... people get carried away by the so called " cheap" pricing and buy what they don't really need.

Thumbs up texaco1 cool
sorry for my late response , i hope people learn from what i have shared with them , it is only knowledge and information that separates success from failure .how is biz and work?have a wonderful day

Hello everyone ,it has been a long time and I have been very busy. But reading through some of the comments here I think I should share my experience with u all as a shipper. This will be a general advice ,I am not advertising my services. Many people that started this thread with so much enthusiasm have fallen by the wayside and to be honest only very few of them are still in business. And what makes the remaining different is KNOWLEDGE ,whatever u are bringing in ,please have maximum knowledge about that field ,this is the only way u can make it in this business and even life . If u want to start importing phones ,don't just jump with ur thousands and start buying ,take a few weeks course or training on how to repair, unlock, flash phones before buying,if u want to start buy laptop do the same, even if is fashion make sure u know about sizes, clothes adjustments and etc . Seek knowledge first before rushing to ebay, amazon or aliexpress. I will always respect mayorall,he went into powerbanks but he has full technical knowledge about it. It is knowledge that will determine whether u lose ur money foolishly or make a profit on it. I have listened to many customers and potential ones who complained about heavy loses. Sorry to bother u all with my long epistle ,just wanted to share my experience with u all.

Some people are smiling about it while some are not. undecided
the high exchange rate will create a scarcity of goods ,scarcity of goods creates a market will to pay any price for goods.

If GEJ looses 2015 it would be a big shame
don't believe this report. The pdp just submitted gej name last week thursday ,serious campaigns will not start until this week. As long as there is a pdp governorship candidate contesting in any state of the federation, gej will go there and campaign and NOTHING will happen. The worst that will happen is some people rushing to nairaland and start crying like cry babies .the President will win 2015 election convincingly and emphatically.

thanks bro, Its not been easy, I've come to know the type of specie Nigerians are, I've met with people and explained the uniqueness of the product, but they complained of the price
good , that even makes ur marketing easier and better. What u need to do is to use the chinese method of marketing or should I say ibo method. Show them the inferior one they want at their price and show them urs too. This means u must have both in stock,u must have the cheaper one and the costlier one too, u must first present the cheap one to them,if they now ask about the quality and guaranty ,then u will let them realize that the better one costs more. In order words give them alternatives or options to choose from. It will be up to them to choose from,by the time u leave they will be telling themselves that u are a good seller because of the options u have given them. If at the end of the day,the cheap item gets spoilt u will be vindicated and if it doesn't they will still believe u have sold them something good at the right price. At the end of the day ,they will start turning to ur own products. Always give customers options and alternatives to choose from. this is what banks, credit card companies, telecoms and mobile phone companies do . No matter what ur customer budget is make sure u have a product for him or her .
