Never discourage trepidation. Fear breeds courage. |
Nothing like a West Texas sunset.

The Wind Knows My Name by Tex The wind knows my name. Its lonesome cries fill my days, And haunt my nights. I feel its sorrow Like warm breath against my cheek. The wind knows my name. I hear its whispers Like the Whippoorwill at dusk Stirring memories best forgotten, Churning emotions best left behind. The wind knows my name. Like dried leaves in the fall, It blows across infinite time And endless space carrying secrets Never to be revealed. The wind knows my name. It picks me up and sweeps me away In a vortex Beyond oblivion and Past the pain of this life. The wind knows my name. Like the Sirens' song, It sings to my soul. Summoning me. Tempting me. The wind knows my name And it calls to me. |
On my sleeve It sits... Waiting. |

Poetry in motion by Tex Poetry is the ability to ferry others across the river of emotion. To transport them to wherever and whenever the words flow. Poetry is a sentient being. It speaks to our hearts and to our minds in innumerable ways, and through countless modes of thought. Poetry is a signpost in a multicolored array. It guides us along life's emotional highways and byways, as we travel in our sensory powered vehicles. Poetry is life itself. It breathes into our souls and takes us to places we never dreamed of, and sometimes shows us our worst nightmares. Poetry is an old and dear friend. It is loyal and kind, but also knows when to chastise. It keeps us sane when all the world has gone crazy. Poetry sings. It's rhythmic lines ebb and flow to the beat of our individual drummer, and caries us away in that moment. |

Curiosity brought me to this place, and Flow1759 kept me in this space. His Pidgin captured my attention With "Man Wey Dey Reason". And Nairaland became my home away from home. Religion section is where I parked my chair. Popcorn in hand. What a motley band. It got "down and dirty" on many an occasion. Nuwell, Ishilove, Ujsizzle and all the rest. I think I loved the Atheists the best. MusKeeto, Mr. Troll, plaetton and my old friend LB. They put everyone to the test. "Forum Games". I love that place. It fanned the flames. Harlos, obinoscopy, dre11, shayoor, shug, Jbluv55...and many more a face. Nairaland soon became my playground with all the fun I found. After work it's where I was bound. I did a stint in "Family", "Health", "Romance" and even "Sexuality"! That sure shook my reality. Throughout this "land" is a wealth of information. No other Forum will soon be replacin' what Seun built and we've been chasin'. Literature Section has always been my favorite. I escape everyday in Poetry. Firestar has raised the bar. llaykorn has been reborn and OMA4U sometimes makes me blue. My latest indulgence...NPC I hold in reverence. EverestDeBliu, timpaker, Buqqui, Donifez, Qaisar1 and Noble4U. My budz Yusjet and Cisse7575 too. All in all, I've had a blast. There's one name I'll mention last. His name is Mynd...not a better friend I'll find. I hope to never leave this place behind. Nairaland...Its become my home, and favorite place to roam. Nairaland is a place to be free. There's something here for everyone. Be who you want to be. And oh yeah, I love the writing of LarrySun. ~Tex |

Amore Vivit by Tex Love is not silent. It speaks gently to our hearts and to our minds. The language of love can only be understood when in action. It is like a play whose actors have fully committed themselves to their individual parts. Love has the patience of Job and the strength of Samson. Yet it is as fragile as a baby bird, and can be left bloodied and broken upon the ground if not cared for. Love is bound by hard work and sacrifice. It is strengthened by compassion and long suffering. It chastises when necessary, yet knows when influence is more prudent. Love guides and teaches by example. It is selfless in giving. Yet It can be ravenously selfish with Time. It is generous with appreciation and stingy with criticism. Love needs daily sustenance. The grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence. It is greener where we water it. Love is alive in all who nourish it. |
llaykorn:You honor me, I honor you. |
