Eyah. How unfortunate.

I will simply mix a very small dose of burantashi into his meal on a daily basis, and a fair amount of 'baby uku' into his drink at weekly intervals. Even if he doesn't want to do, his jabulani will sing a different song. :-|

In this dark lonely street.
All by myself tonight.
I search every corner
For a body that hides.
To jump at me.
And do me some harm.
I think of my punches.
How heavy they are.
And of my roundhouse kick.
How fast it flies.
But deep down my mind.
I harbour my doubts.
Cos terror is a killing enemy.
Of even the stronger mind.
I think of hooded men.
Clubs in hands.
How much punches.
Are useless sometimes.
How much the roundhouse.
Is thoughtless sometimes
I've spent years.
Learning martial arts.
That your elbow does more.
Than your heel.
That the keys to win.
In fights in the ring.
Are balance and speed.
And strength you can train.
By hitting trees.
That your footwork.
And how deep.
Your mind is,decide victory.
I've fought people taller.
Than I ever thought I could be.
Bigger in size.
Than myself times three.
But I ever fought.
On foam-filled mats.
And a thousand rules to guide.
Never kick the groin.
And never punch the head.
They said.
I've ever fought.
Were there were lights.
And dry and bright.
With teammates cheering on.
And the coach snapping on.
I knocked a hundred out.
And was knocked out.
A hundred times.
I cried before.
When my shin was crushed.
I took weeks off.
When surgery was done.
When an ankle broke.
And all was painful.
But lost hope.
Which was painful more.
.
I have my medals.
Adorning my room.
Hung on the walls.
Telling the tales.
Of a fighter fool.
Ah,am I not one?
.
When afterall.
I still fear the dark.
And not what's behind.

Just a suggestion. Since you want to do this here, we have no privacy. That's fine, but just remember everyone will know what we are doing. This is a competition remember.

DUE SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some examples...

How about a free verse question and answer poem? We could do four couplets. Examples below... The first line asks a question, the second line gives a response. You do this type of thing in a rap battle right. This is just more formatted.

The first two questions begin with "How many...? and the last two questions ask "How much...?" The answer always begins with "depends on..." The answer to the first question rhymes with the answer to the second. (Optional, but I think it will help with flow)

HOW MANY HOW MUCH
By Shel Silverstein

How many slams in an old screen door?
Depends how loud you shut it.
How many slices in a bread?
Depends how thin you cut it.

How much good inside a day?
Depends how good you live 'em.

How much love inside a friend?
Depends how much you give 'em.

This one is an ABAB pattern...

Each question starts with "where" and every other line rhymes. There is also a syllable pattern (optional)

WHERE, oh where are the visions of morning,
Fresh as the dews of our prime?
Gone, like tenants that quit without warning,
Down the back entry of time.

Where, oh where are life's lilies and roses,
Nursed in the golden dawn's smile?
Dead as the bulrushes round little Moses,
On the old banks of the Nile.

Where are the Marys, and Anns, and Elizas,
Loving and lovely of yore?
Look in the columns of old Advertisers,--
Married and dead by the score.

Where the gray colts and the ten-year-old fillies,
Saturday's triumph and joy?
Gone, like our friend (--Greek--) Achilles,
Homer's ferocious old boy.

Die-away dreams of ecstatic emotion,
Hopes like young eagles at play,
Vows of unheard-of and endless devotion,
How ye have faded away!

Yet, through the ebbing of Time's mighty river
Leave our young blossoms to die,
Let him roll smooth in his current forever,
Till the last pebble is dry.
~Oliver Wendell Holmes

Ah, Are You Digging On My Grave? by Thomas Hardy
"Ah, are you digging on my grave,
My loved one? -- planting rue?"
-- "No: yesterday he went to wed
One of the brightest wealth has bred.
'It cannot hurt her now,' he said,
'That I should not be true.'"

"Then who is digging on my grave,
My nearest dearest kin?"
-- "Ah, no: they sit and think, 'What use!
What good will planting flowers produce?
No tendance of her mound can loose
Her spirit from Death's gin.'"

"But someone digs upon my grave?
My enemy? -- prodding sly?"
-- "Nay: when she heard you had passed the Gate
That shuts on all flesh soon or late,
She thought you no more worth her hate,
And cares not where you lie.

"Then, who is digging on my grave?
Say -- since I have not guessed!"
-- "O it is I, my mistress dear,
Your little dog , who still lives near,
And much I hope my movements here
Have not disturbed your rest?"

"Ah yes! You dig upon my grave...
Why flashed it not to me
That one true heart was left behind!
What feeling do we ever find
To equal among human kind
A dog's fidelity!"

"Mistress, I dug upon your grave
To bury a bone, in case
I should be hungry near this spot
When passing on my daily trot.
I am sorry, but I quite forgot
It was your resting place."

So we are strangers...why not use that? Get to know each other in our poem. Let's have a conversation, find common ground, or show how different we are. It can be a back and forth. I'm not sure I could do a rap battle, but I can ask and answer questions. What do you think?
