The one in existence now was newly created
recently. The old SDP was disbanded after the 1993 annulment I think. I'm not holding brief 4 Tinubu o but he was in AD b4 forming his own party AC which later changes its name to ACN to reflect it is not a REGIONAL PARTY but a NATIONAL PARTY and then later to APC after it's merger with former president Buhari's party CPC. So Tinubu has always been in one party, that guy was just trying to be clever by half by deflecting the real purpose the thread was open to shift focus on Tinubu to justify his conviction.

They’ve so long sold the lies that Tinubu has remained in a party all his political life. That’s not true. Like someone above rightly said he crossed from SDP to AD, formed AC which was renamed to ACN and later merged with other parties to form APC. So that’s SDP - AD - AC - ACN - APC

Tinubu is the president and C-in-C today because he wasn't jumping like frog from one party to the other like Obi and Atiku. Tinubu was a founding father and was the one bringing people into the party after rebranding, unlike your agulu messiah. 😂
