Chief judge of supreme court is task at administering justice if he is found wanting, he has no moral to preside over cases until the competent court of law have absolve him of any wrong doing. Onnoghen trials starts on monday. Before end of january nigeria will definetly have new chief judge of supreme court.

He was promoted to the Supreme Court and he declined the offer. The NJC acting on Jonathan’s prompting subsequently suspended him over the Sokoto state suspended judgement. NJC later realized the silliness of their decision and promptly cancelled the suspension and reinstated him back to office but Jonathan refused to allow him go back to his office.

Again, if Salami is Tinubu’s judge and you feel what Jonathan did to him was right, Onnoghen is also a well known Wike judge and what is coming his way is also justified. All partisan Judges must be thrown out of the judiciary including Mary Odili.

We are only asking him to step aside pending the determination of his case by CCT. Someone undergoing criminal trial cannot preside over the Supreme Court. What if the case gets to the Supreme Court, do you want him to be the judge in his own case?

If Onnoghen has nothing to hide, he should simply recuse himself from presiding over the activities of the Supreme Court till CCT decide his case. Every justices that had been accused of corruption in the past all stepped aside till their cases were disposed. Onnoghen cannot be an exception.
