The police people causing all d wahala are the junior officers. Senior officers are those that are recruited at BSc or HND level.
Its bad that some that have degrees enlist for junior officers where there's space, with hope of converting. Which rarely comes.
For a senior police officer to earn 250k per month, he must have been in service for 20-30 years. No junior officer can ever dream of such amount.
The money budgeted for police is mainly for infrastructure, training and development, not their salary.

As for Nigerian police they all carry ak47 with 30 rounds in a magazine, when encountered by a stubborn suspect all they have is an assault riffle.

when we were growing up in the north, police were known as 'dan sanda', stick carrier. Because then regular police were only carrying baton.
