Laxy009: Do I need to get my BSc transcript before I can register and write the Pt1 stage? Do you go for lecture or you only read those materials? Going for lectures is a waste of time. I can assure u that when u read on your own, you ll be better than the so called tutorial takers in these study classes. before you can enjoy the exemptions and start your PT1, you ll need to have your B.sc cert or transcript and your NYSC cert to be signed by a chartered tax person (which is not a problem). but I ll suggest you start preparing now, so u ll have a sail through. I must state here that during this hard time facing the country, TaX is where the money is. |

Laxy009: I'm a prospective members of this professional body. I would like to know how many stages of exam someone needs to write before getting chattered and the cost of the stages . Am an Accounting graduate. As an accounting graduate, you ll be exempted from all foundation papers(4)..You ll start from PT1 - PT3.. For the exemptions, you ll pay 4k per paper and non refundable fee of I think 3500..making 20,500 in all. Money for PT1 exam, is 31k...each paper costs 6k.., non refundable and some other charges makes it 31k approximately. Did I forget to mention 11500 for registration b4 paying for exemption? |

Are you a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria? If yes, this thread is for you!
As we all know, getting material/study notes to enable one read for their exam is hell.
I have opened this thread so we can share/sell amongst ourselves if we have them, for the various levels, against the April diet exams.

krissconnect: Please take time and read this, your candid advice is needed.
I have a friend, a married woman who I can swear on her behalf is 100 and 1 percent committed to her husband and family. She has 3 kids of age; 4, 2 and some months respectively. Her husband is a wealthy businessman but strictly conservative when it comes to money. He always found it hard supporting the family financially, even the children school fees must be resolved in the court before he pays them. The little snacks(meatpie) business she initiated by herself was met with less or no attention husband. He never supported it, though he always lashed on her each time she buys new clothes for herself.
The woman is a pretty black attractive woman, who catches the eye of many men. Now she's in dilemma, she doesn't wanna cheat on the husband, but with the situation of things, she's at the brink of fouling herself. She told me too that she's only holding on because of her kids.
Fellow nairalanders, what advice have you to give to this woman on this mindblowing situation? Matured minds please. Cc: lalasticlala,toks2008,farano,fynestboi Women? FEAR THEM |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Women Speak In Church Despite a Few Bible Verses Against It? by thatNUPEboy: 6:03pm On Oct 02, 2016 |
midolian: Women speaking in tongues and prophesying, women taking charge in churches by way of standing in front of the podium to address the congregation, women coming forward to give testimonies, meaningful contributions, ask questions et al..are not new to everyone reading this. These are against 1 Corinthians 14:34, 35.
1 Corinthians 14:34, 35
Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.
35 If they wish to inquire about something, they are to ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.…
I think the verses above are clear enough. What I don't really understand are these.. Why do we see women go the extent of even preaching in churches these days.. Has anything changed? Are there counter and more superior verses in the bible that supports this?
Pls I need meaningful contributions because I may be getting it all wrong. Thanks

18? Is that not the age of consent? Why do you have to open a thread for this to seek people's opinion. You are old enough to know the country is filled with hypocrites. Those advising against it will marry a 17yr old, even @ 40...and the ladies, the other way round. If you don't marry her, an older man will. Go think about this and send me an invitation if you eventually decide wisely |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Women Speak In Church Despite a Few Bible Verses Against It? by thatNUPEboy: 11:03am On Sep 25, 2016 |
colik: As we investigate the four gospels, nowhere is Christ critical, demeaning, or negative toward women. In fact, on every occasion He was exactly the opposite. He publicly associated with them and uplifted their social status. This must have made both the Jews and Greeks furious! Was Christ trying to tell us something by his actions? Was he preparing mankind for the liberation of all Christians as stated by Paul in Gal 3:28?
Christ never criticized women for violating cultural, religious, or traditional taboos. Christ refused to follow the century old traditions of man and keep women restrained by the religious bondage of his time. Christ accepted women as individual beings capable of making their own choices and being responsible for their own salvation.
A great example of Jesus' attitude toward women is illustrated in Luke 10:38-42. When Martha rebuked Mary for not helping her, Christ did not remind Mary that her proper role was that of serving men. Instead Christ let it be known that the important thing for Mary was at his feet learning the word of God. Christ's message was clear!
Another example is found in John 12:1-7. Again in the home of Mary and Martha, the passages find "Martha serving." Mary not only stayed in the room with the men while the men were eating but also loosed her hair and washed Jesus' feet with a bottle of expensive perfume. If a Jewish woman let her hair hang down naturally, she was considered uncovered, and if this happened in public, it was grounds for divorce under Jewish law.
Mary violated two of the strictest rabbinical laws, yet Jesus said nothing. Christ even reprimanded those who tried to correct Mary. How would Christ feel about the restrictions placed on women in our worship services today? Other examples of Christ's open and supporting attitude toward women are found in Luke 11:2728; Matthew 19:3-10; Mark 10:11-12; Matthew 22:23-30; Luke 7:36- 50; John 4: 7-30; Mark 12:38-40; Luke 7:11-17; and so on.
Jesus often used women to illustrate his eternal lessons and truths as found in Luke 21:1-4 and many other scriptures. Christ, through his actions, stripped away centuries of male domination and religious restrictions, yet today in Christ's Church, the Jewish and Greek traditions of bigotry and male domination still rule!
