As someone said above, if they were legit, they would have gone through legal means to retrieve their money but because they're not, they can only use blackmail to do so.

People should as much as possible live within their means to avoid such embarrassment because the people they want to impress with their extravagant lifestyle don't care but will even mock them when the loansharks post their pictures all over the place.

Your first paragraph may not be true. Cost-benefit analysis could be the reason they didn't pursue legal action. It often doesn't make economic sense to take a loan defaulter who owes a small amount like 50k to court. Imagine the legal expenses you would incur versus the amount owed. It simply would not be financially justifiable

You have forgotten that FIRS is autonomous and enjoys a percentage of what is collected every month as running cost. Plus whatever he has done in terms of salary must have been done in line with policies guiding the organisation, otherwise you would have heard noises from different quarters. In short, he must have achieved this through National salaries and wages commission.

Zach is actually a good man. He believes so much in action, rather than vuvuzela promises. When he resumed as the boss of FIRS, learnt he didn't even promise to increase staff welfare packages but assured them he would not remove any from what they have been enjoying...and then boom, a sudden increment.

Zach has also eliminated the wasteful practice of conducting promotion exercise in the service.

Even though the staff still hope for more, what he has done so far is highly commendable.
