Lol, yeah the story was slow at the beginning...I was even dosing off in the first 30 mins for two days. But yesterday when I got to 45 mins it began to hit in.

Not all horror movies are to scare you shitless.. horror got to have the widest subgenre. There's psychological horror, body horror, Supernatural, slasher, religious horror etc.
This is more of psychology horror and disturbing kinda movie not necessarily fright night.

Anyone who's watched Midsommar won't tell you it's frightening, but you'll hear a consensus of it's freakishly disturbing.

So I was banned for 24 hours and I wasn't able to drop my review on Malignant which I watched 3 days ago.

Here goes nothing :

The first half of the movie , it felt as if I was watching the part 2 , so confusing. I had to Google to see if it was a sequel or remake.
Then towards the middle, it started to make sense. The genre is supposedly horror but I didn't scare one bit. The plot is more twisted than being scary.

But I like the explanation of the whole thing, I had an "oh" expression by the end of the movie. I definitely didn't see that coming.

It's a 6 for me.(plotwise).

In my absence, I noticed I got quoted multiple times for a post I made in reply to someone about Sex Education which has been misconstrued to be a spoiler.

In my post , I gave an unequivocal fact from the previous seasons which I feel shouldn't be considered a spoiler, I mean it fffing happened in season 1 (which was 2 years ago). So I don't understand the backlash.

And I happened to also post a scene from the new season, which believe me, is very minute and it doesn't ruin the whole series one bit.

I know nothing justifies my action because I'm always the one angered about spoilers. So accept my apologies. It won't happen again .

I saved money in sec school to buy season films back then. Na so I take get collection. Friends came to me for some of my artifacts.

One of my stupid neighbors used to Mock me especially during Covid lock down last year that I preferred movies to ladies. LMFAO....

But these days mehn, I hardly have time for film. It's Nairaland and some movie news that takes up my free time these days. I hunt for movie news more than watching movies itself now.

It's good everyone's sharing their experience. Maybe this will spur some of us in actually doing something about it.

Maybe we should form a book challenge.
Start reading a book before it drops or concurrently with the new incoming shows. Starting with Wheel of Time, Dune, The Witcher, Fire & Blood etc.

The last book (about emotional intelligence) I read was in October last year and that's mainly because my smartphone was stolen, so I had free time from social media and distractions. The book sef, I no read am reach half. Probably like 20 something pages

Opening a new thread will be better , so we don't digress from the purpose of this thread.

P.S : I propose a fine for people who don't meet up

Me I thought I would have the time during the lockdown last year alas I had about 2TB of movies and shows to see , I made the same promise of "A book per month in January" , here we are in September with approximately zero book read

At this point I am just waiting on Netflix, HBO and the likes to adapt these books into movies to save me the hassle.

It was just as amazing as the previous two seasons and the showcasing of Nigerian culture had me grinning.

I have forgotten some scenes so it was quite hard to relate.
