I hate when it takes too long for a new season of a series to premiere. Most times, I'd have forgotten 80% of the plot.

Just saw Netflix's new History Drama of our fierce Warrior Princess.

I remember a while ago me and a guy wondered what happened to the AMINA movie. The movie that never released. We wondered if it was released but we were unaware. More than a year ago we saw the trailer and was hyped for it. But hush...film no show. A movie like dis would surely get massive hype and rave but it was completely silent.

Just stumbled on it minutes ago. This time Netflix is releasing it. I started to wonder what happened to the early AMINA movie we saw its trailer a while ago. Guess what....it's the same movie!!!
I guess the producers ran into distribution and promotion issues. Seems Netflix has bought the rights to it.

The initial trailer is more captivating than the Netflix one. Especially cos of that battle scene. Low budget, yes. But we heading somewhere. Besides it's our history. I also like how it originates from us and not others helping us tell our stories to the world. Nice devt.

Since I've never watched the Matrix trilogy, I decided to delve into it and enjoy this masterpiece.

Fortunately, I got to know that if I must enjoy the movies, I had to get the animated version first, to understand the whole concept. And, I must confess it's been awesome, following each part as it flows below.

The Animatrix 2003 (Having nine awesome parts with stunning visuals/stories) 8/10.

The Matrix 1999. I just finished watching this one after enjoying the Animatrix. 7/10.

The Matrix Reloaded 2003. Later in the evening today.

And the last, The Matrix Revolutions 2003. Hopefully, overmorrow.

I do hope the story continues with the latest one coming in December.

Alas, I'm not the only one re-watching The Matrix
I've watched it twice before and the concept flew over my head, I was a teenager.

This is the first time I truly understood it and I have a gazillion questions. Somehow the plot reminds me of Plato's Allegory of the Cave.

Americans have been creating thought provoking movies for a long time. I see why our forefathers likened them to gods. Their power of imagination is befuddling.

Maya and the three : 5/10

Someone complained about the graphics and voice overs. Lol. Netflix said it's for ages 7+ , so I'm guessing the kids will love the graphics. Considering the eye turning animations my brother watches, he will love it as well.

Not every cartoon will be like Coco, Zootopia etc. that appeals to us adults.

Some of the scenes defied logic but wetin concern children with logic .

My main issue with the series though is that, the deaths are too much. A lot of lovable characters had to die. Children don't need to see that amount of deaths Biko.

They are both flawed. Why was he also fantasizing about other women. They are perfect for each other , nobody else will accept him. Beck didn't, Candice didn't, Marianne also didn't and he killed for her

Please recommend any interesting series. Most preferably thrillers. There's nothing new on Netflix and the upcoming ones aren't even exciting

The least interesting season for me
Why?
Unlike previous seasons where there was a slow build into the violence and killings, this one just went right into it. Maybe the writers were trying to Justify why Joe had to kill Love at the end, so it was better to depict her as psychotic.

It took me 4 days to finish this season because I just wasn't feeling it(I watched the previous seasons in less than 24 hours), no eagerness to see what happened next.

The first 8 episodes is a 5/10 for me. If you ask me, the last 2 episodes carried the whole season and that's why I'll be waiting for the season 4.

An extra 1 for episode 9 and 10 .
0.5 for Joe's inner dialogues (I always find it amusing)

Overall rating 6.5/10

P.S : don't bother attacking my rating, if you don't like it, because I will air you. I've learnt the act of posting and ignoring.
