Thanks to God Almighty and everyone else here who helped me. My mum's visa has arrived. 2 years visit visa.
Biometrics done: 31st March

Congrats ,,,,, did you get a mail for pickup,,,, or do you opt for the dhl delivery plan,,, or did you go to tls to pickup after you get mail that a decision has been made but you need to wait 10days ,,,, kindly share your experience as regards getting your passport back with us

Biometrics done since March 9,,, paid mail sent April 2…. Response is application is been considered and currently under decision making,,,,
Why is it taking long and reason for travel is to spend Easter holiday in the UK. Pls advice wisely as Easter is almost a week from now

This is our first visa to the uk but not the first application though.
the first application was denied in february with reasons that they wanted to see the source of my husbands income,

so in this second application we uploaded his company statement of account in order to attribute his income to a source.
its a 6months visa

Congrats ,,,,, so,, it took them 5weeks to treat the application,,,,

applicants (wife and two kids)
documents presented are
detailed cover letter as hubby and i are self employed and we are both directors in the company (The cover letter was like 4pages oo)
i had some large deposit into my personal account although my husband personal statement was clean
i also have my side business
picture of my shop(side business)
family pix
husband statement of account
the statement of account of the company we both are directors in
the statement of account of my own company side business
my personal statement of account where i earn my salary
acknowledgement of annual filling of the company we are both directors to
my own side business is a business name and its inactive(i didnt bother since its a sponsored application)
previous travel documents to dubai,and ghana as family
husband consent and sponsorship letter
my letter of employment ,cac documents,work id ,hubby tax clearance certificate,landed property documents,some invoices and reciept
evidence of business relationship with other company in nigeria,marriage certificate,etc
collections from switching company(agreement)
evidence of stock balance

biometric done 3rd march 2022
collection mail-7th april 2022
passport collected 8th april 2022

nairaland has everything we need to get our visa approved.I did all myself.

Application transferred to VAC for one of the dependent.

The main applicant and the other dependent is still at DMC

No collection mail yet though

That means you went there on the 9th last month,,,,,
We are in the same shoes,,, I came for bio on the 9th as well and up till now no message from them at all…
Do you receive any form of mesage at all

I am not sure of the UK visa thread but on the UK student thread.. there are lots of examples..
At least the ones I saw with my eyes, UKVI wanted to messg keystone bank about the account presented.
They boldly asked the bank to confirm the authenticity of the statement and the current account balance. Currnt account balance o. As per how much is there now.
How we saw it on the forum was the eco had mistakenly sent this mail to the applicant instead of the bank in the first instance. The applicant came and posted the email for us to see.
No 2 example, someone received visa refusal. The eco stated it there in the refusal letter the specific dates that the money in the account had gone from millions to 600 naira. 600 naira. The date was written specifically in the refusal letter whereas the statement the chap submitted was upto when account balance was bulky.
Another method used by the ECOs, once they have done their checks and realised the monies have been taken out, they send not straight forward emails to the applicants asking them for new statemnt of account. In this emails they give specific dates. Go back and check, these dates are the times the applicant removed the money

Immediately, you will start seeing these brothers and sisters sending me msgs up and down about what to do …

So please hrprof maybe it is other embassies, but you see this UK if they want to ask for and get your account balance esp for UK student visa they do not waste time.

So you’re saying they’ve got access to one’s account …. That sounds somehow …

When did you go for biometrics and where
When do you receive the message also
And have you gotten any mesage asides that since they last sent you that one….
