You wouldn’t be civil in your arguments because you care more about gathering likes & being liked by the majority.

All these players you mentioned have been known for their unreliability over the years. Nobody overhype them like they do Kovacic.

When you’ve a stable strong midfielder that shield the defense well, all these inadequacies by defenders would be less noticed. Has Kovacic won any important trophy that was not from the bench?

Some people are even making excuses for kova by saying it’s Kante fault. Same Kante that played with Matic & average midfielder like DrinkWater and excelled.

My interest mostly lies on midfield & Kovacic had a bad game yesterday. Or am I the one operating these Twitter accounts?

Kovacic can’t play 3, 4 consecutive games at a top level, his level of unreliability was what made many coaches kept him glued to the bench. Clueless in Attack, can’t shoot & flawed in defending.

I know some will say it’s because he was not paired with Jorginho today. But really, are we just watching J5 & Kov in a midfield of 2? Hardly have I seen both had a masterclass game together pass 4 5 games.

Average player that wouldn’t start for any tier 1 club.

I’ve watched Kovacic long under Sarri and Lampard. With few games I can only give TT the credit, though I know he will get a better midfielder like ndidi then kova will be surplus to requirements.

Well I believe it’s a skill that needs to be learnt at early player career with perpetual training.

For instance, a 27yo player like Kovacic can’t significantly improve his final third passes or shoots anymore. I mean what are the chances, after playing for years & not improving his shots under Mancini, Zidane, Sarri & Lampard? Even average players like Barkley has been shooting well since 20.

So sometimes imo, it’s a lost cause

Our midfield was a little open with the runs & I commented “Our midfield open”. A smart coach like Tuchel noticed this too & brought in Kante to partner Jorginho & Kovacic, something he has never done before.

That tells you something.

I want to see TT transfer options when the window opens.
