SportsRe: Are U Talented Footballer Between 17 And 20 Years? Golden Opportunity Is Here by TheCongo2: 11:26pm On Mar 31
kniceyyy:
A company is scouting for young talented footballers for sponsorship to Europe to play pro football. This maybe your own golden opportunity to become another Osimhen.

Details:
Location : Lagos(due to the timeline of the shortlisting) So if you live outside Lagos , don't bother because the trial is 3PM Tuesday 31st March 2026 in Lagos

Age: between 17 and 20 years old anything outside that please don't attempt.

You will be required to come with your football boots and jersey to a location in Lagos at 3PM tomorrow 31st March 2026 for trial.

For more details: Contact (Also Whatsapp)
08 12209 72 16

Outside tomorrow, the opportunity will pass. Strictly for those who are serious and will report at the venue on time.

@admin, kindly move to front page, you never can know whose destiny is about to change with this. for more publicity. Thank you.
Opportunities like this sound good, but let’s be careful.
No verified company name, no official website, and urgent “come tomorrow” trials are already red flags.

We’ve heard too many stories of fake scouts promising Europe, collecting money or documents, and leaving families penniless or young players stranded and even homeless abroad.

Please share proper details about the company, registration, and past successful players so people can verify before attending.

Even after the Congolese federation themselves quoted not wanting to have eligibility issues that could lead to disqualification in the WC as their reason for changing the lineup?
Who dey born all these kain pikin these days?
Who's littering our society with kids who reason like this?
Why then are the dropped players (Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Mario) the ones at the center of this eligibility controversy? Coincidence?
Please be using that thing once in a while, na God I take beg you, it's not there for decoration 🙏🙏
Again, you are ignored now.
Ah yes… “you are ignored” — episode 5 😂
So now avoiding future issues = admitting past guilt?
Great logic. Lock your door tonight, and suddenly you’re a former burglar.
They dropped players to avoid drama, not to confess to anything. That’s called managing risk — not writing a legal statement.
And the insults? That’s usually when the argument is tired.
But please… keep ignoring me like this 😄

I am so happy reading your post because it seems that people who can think logically are very scarce. I have been watching European football matches and no matter the mistake by the ref the most you can do is to complain not walkout. I am so delighted over this decision because it will be a strong deterrent for any team that may want to do so in the future.
Oh yes, of course — because European football is the ultimate life manual now.

So whatever happens in Europe must automatically apply everywhere else, right? Different competitions, different contexts, different rules… none of that matters. If they complain politely there, then the whole world must follow the same script.

Next step, I guess we should also copy their weather, their food, and maybe even their referees while we’re at it.

Funny how “thinking logically” suddenly means “copy Europe blindly.”

UrVillageChief:
Nobody is stopping you from disparaging your country at every slight chance you see but do so with sense at least. The argument is about if Nigeria is doing something normal or abnormal and I and every other reasonable person are saying it's perfectly normal because if the table is turned and it's DR Congo that is in Nigeria's shoe, they would definitely do the same thing or even worse.
Secondly, if DR Congo was truly not guilty, why then have they decided to drop some of the players (players like Michel-Ange Balikwisha) they believe might cause them eligibility issues during the world? Mind you, they fielded these players during the qualifiers.
If they aren't guilty, why didn't they field the players for the World tournament?

Make una dey use una head once in a while at least, please.
You are now being ignored.
Oh absolutely — because obviously the gold standard for innocence is never changing your lineup, right? Once you call up a player, that’s it… locked in forever. No injuries, no tactics, no better options — otherwise, boom, guilty. Makes perfect sense.

So by that logic, every coach in the world who rotates players must be hiding something. Pep Guardiola? Definitely suspicious. National teams adjusting squads? Clearly a scandal.

And yes, DR Congo should definitely keep Balikwisha forever — not because of performance, strategy, or team balance — but just to satisfy your personal court of public opinion. Football decisions now need legal approval from fans, apparently.

Meanwhile, DR Congo knocks out teams like Cameroon… and somehow those teams manage to process it, accept it, and move on. No emergency investigations, no dramatic appeals — just football.

But Nigeria? Ah yes… different playbook. Lose on the pitch, win in the complaint department.

At this point, it’s less about eligibility and more about tradition.
SportsRe: NFF Begins Appeal As FIFA Rejects Petition Against DR Congo by TheCongo2: 5:55pm On Mar 18
UrVillageChief:
Those countries didn't complain because they chose not to and that doesn't rubbish the Nigeria's case. The question remains "did they field ineligible players or not?"
The South African national team was sanctioned for this same infractions and were slammed points drop. So why are these ones different? The point remains that the DR Congo would do the same or even worse if the tables were turned, stop rubbisbing your country at every slight chance undecided
With respect to the bolded, the answer is NO.
SportsRe: NFF Begins Appeal As FIFA Rejects Petition Against DR Congo by TheCongo2: 8:19am On Mar 18
UrVillageChief:
I can see you all derive so much joy in ridiculing your country. So you think the DR Congo team wouldnt do the same if they were the ones in Super eagles' shoe?
Even big countries like Spain, France and Argentina would do the same
Oh yes… Nigeria must be the only country in the world that understands the rules.

DR Congo national football team played the same players during the World Cup qualifiers against teams like Cameroon national football team. None of those countries complained.

They also played with the same players during the Africa Cup of Nations. Again, none of the teams they faced filed any complaint.

But suddenly, only Nigeria national football team discovered a problem.

So the idea that “any country would have done the same” is funny… because no other country actually did.

Whether those 7 players were cleared 3days or hours b4 playoff, as long as it was done legitimately....its 100 percent legal... they dint complain b4 the match, until they lost ... Cameroon played same players and dint complain for like a report ...the teams they beat at AFCON dint file a complaint as well... AFCON allowed same players to play in that tournament....Nigeria should stop dreaming and focus on how to qualify for 2027 AFCON
Voila une personne qui reflechi .

Very well said.
I’ve been asking myself the same question: why is Nigeria the only one complaining?
Those same players played throughout the tournament and no other team filed a complaint. Even Nigeria didn’t raise any issue before the match. Now that they lost, suddenly it becomes a problem.

Stop trying to twist the facts, those players were not eligible to play against Nigeria, not only us but every single match in that world cup qualifiers, they added a second nationality 2 months before the tournament, they were yet to renounce the former nationality (European) under your country's laws and FIFA laws it is illegal to play with 2 nationalities that makes them ineligible, go and read about Malaysia qualifiers again it is the same thing they did as Dr Congo and they were disqualified.

Fingers crossed 🤞🏼.

You have no single evidence or fact to back up your position, I brought mine and you are saying Google is lying 🤥.

It's a very simple question to ask Google "between Nigeria and Congo" which country has potential to generate more revenue for FIFA based on population......it gave an answer everybody already knows except you, or maybe you just want to be willfully ignorant, if that is the case have a lovely day sir.

I'm done here. Shalom ✌🏼
At the World Cup, Nigeria or Congo are no longer just individual countries—they become representatives of the entire African continent and receive support from across Africa. That’s a well known fact you’re refuting.
Anyway, shalom.

See person dey argue with Google result hahaha 🤣 😂 🤣 that's a new one
I’m not arguing with Google—I’m arguing with using a search engine as a source. Big difference. Some of the results returned by google are complete nonsense.

Let’s be real: when any African team goes far at the World Cup, the whole continent celebrates. Africa supports Africa. So saying Nigeria is somehow a ‘more lucrative’ African market than Congo at the World Cup because of viewership is just not true. Maybe that argument works for AFCON, but not for the World Cup.
SportsRe: NFF Reacts To FIFA ‘verdict’ On Nigeria-dr Congo Eligibility Dispute by TheCongo2:
ViceGovernor:
FIFA is more likely to generate higher football viewership and revenue from Nigeria compared to DR Congo due to Nigeria's larger population, more extensive and passionate fanbase, stronger commercial football market, and greater global football profile.

If FIFA aims to maximize viewership and revenue, Nigeria represents a more lucrative market than DR Congo.

Source __Google.
Source ….Google? Nah… Google is just a search engine, not a source. It can lead you to good info—or straight to nonsense.

And, as mentioned previously Once it’s the World Cup, Africa supports Africa—period. Whether it’s Nigeria or the smallest country on the continent, the continent shows up. The idea that one African team magically brings special viewership is just marketing fantasy, not reality

Anyway, India and China would be more lucrative markets for FIFA based on your analysis .

CaseSensitive:
This is how some people think their brain is firing on full cylinders then fail big in small WAEC. In continental Europe, no one natively speaks English outside of UK, Ireland, Gibraltar, Isle of Man and maybe only a small minority in Malta. That's around 70 to 75 million.

Russian is natively spoken in Russia, East of Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova. That's more than 130 million in Europe alone. No other language comes close.

Honestly, I wouldn’t care much if FIFA’s verdict ended up favoring Nigeria—even though that’s very unlikely—because Nigeria has an African coach, unlike Congo, which has a European coach. I’ve always supported African teams with Black coaches or home-based players before anything else.

Nigeria has more economic value in the world cup than Congo, 300 million views 🥹🥺 there's no way on God's green earth 🌎 FIFA will joke with that kind of publicity for a country who cheated during qualifiers.
I beg to differ. Population is irrelevant here. Nigeria can have 300 million people and it still doesn’t mean all of them will watch the World Cup—many won’t. And during the World Cup, Africans support African teams, not just their own country. So whether it’s Nigeria or a much smaller African country, the continental support is largely the same. If spots were based on population or ‘economic value,’ then China and India should qualify automatically. Thankfully, it’s still football, not a census.

Hehehe 😁 😀 if that denial will make you feel better just hold on to it, let's await the sledgehammer of FIFA.

So you mean FIFA would admit and begin deliberation on a case that is not proven? Your country fielded 6 players who had dual nationality, that same country's rules states that you cannot do that unless they have renounced their former nationality which they did not do and you are here trying to spin what we all know.

Anyways let's wait for the final judgement, you've read about the case of Malaysia it is a Siamese twins of your country's case, so will the verdict be.....take heart my bro from the Congo.
Nigeria has more economic value in the world cup than Congo, 300 million views 🥹🥺 there's no way on God's green earth 🌎 FIFA will joke with that kind of publicity for a country who cheated during qualifiers.
This is what most people don’t understand. Under FIFA rules, a player is eligible if they have the required ancestry. In Malaysia’s case, they cheated the ancestry: the players did not have Malaysian ancestry, so they were never eligible, and that’s why they were punished. In Congo’s case, the players do have Congolese ancestry, which makes them eligible for the national team. That’s the key difference many of you are missing.

Good thing we have friendly matches scheduled for next month against Jordan and Iran (2 world cup bound teams). I've learned to tame my hopes about this FIFA verdict a long time ago, hopefully NFF get their shit together and sort out their contract + increased wage demands from Chelle.
Finally, someone who gets it—the world doesn’t revolve around Nigeria, and FIFA verdicts aren’t fairy tales. Preparing for friendlies instead of living on hope sounds a lot more realistic than arguing online about ‘deserved’ spots.
