Earlier today, Wizkid released the highly anticipated video for his international collaboration with Drake titled “Come Closer“, a lot of people, especially Nigerians were disappointed when Drake failed to appear in the video. This gave room to some online comparisons between Wizkid and D’banj as the Kokomaster was one of the first Nigerian artistes to work with international acts by featuring Snoop Dogg in the remix for “Mr. Endowed” as well as the video. However D’banj has moved to quell such comparisons, expressing his utmost support and that he is proud of Wizkid’s accomplishment. He said: I’m so proud of you @wizkidayo ! Africa to the World!!! This is why we took the Leap ♨♨✊ http://www.bubbles247.com/2017/04/07/on-mtv-base-comparism-i-am-so-proud-of-you-dbanj-tells-wizkid/ See their tweets below:

Legendary Indeginous artiste, 9ice has joined fellow artists like Iyanya and Mavin Records to sign with Temple Management Company. The deal which was signed and sealed today 16th of February, 2017 at the corporate office of the company in Victoria Island, Lagos was witnessed by representatives of both parties. CEO/ Founder TMC, Idris Olorunnimbe highlighted that the Alapomeji Records boss is still very relevant in the Nigerian music industry saying; We recognize the foundation that 9ice has built and established, together we can build on and take it to newer heights. At Temple Management Company, we do not gamble but believe in strategy and pinpoint execution. With our team and structure, we are here to support 9ice to actualize his career goals. In 9ice, we see a brand that has an important and strategic core that we can expand. For 9ice this would mean stepping on another level for him as he says TMC is Nigeria’s very own Sony Music or BMG. In his own words; For me, this is the right thing to do at this stage in my career and indeed for any forward thinking artiste. When we started music, we grew with the knowledge that everything was all about the artiste; you are the manager, owner of the record label etc. We did this to the best of our ability. This is the time to give experienced professionals the chance to take care of you because one will become the better for it. Temple Management are like our own Sony or BMG in Nigeria. Any artiste who plans to grow need to work with the right people such as Temple Management Company. We wish 9ice nothing but the very best in this new deal.
