solaugo: A Member of the delegate conference, Prof Jerry Gana, has shed more light on the rumour over inclusion of Edu state among the states recommended to be created by the conference.

The Edu state is recommended to be created from the present Nupe speaking areas of Niger state.

Jerry Gana who is the Dan Hasken Nupe and a member at the on-going National Conference said contrary to insinuations the proposed Edu State from the present Niger State is among the 18 new states recommended .

According to him in an interview with journalists in Bida, Niger State, Prof Gana said the proposed state by the Nupes was number 2 on the list of the Votes and Proceedings of Thursday, July3.

The former Minister of Information said other states were also recommended for creation with Edu State and that it was also recommended that the third state to be created in the South-South Zone will be named later, along with its state capital.
