Politics / Re: Why Nigerian Leaders Don’t Value Education – Fela Durotoye by TheIlliterate: 10:42am On Nov 08, 2018
Amagite:
The presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Fela Durotoye, has said Nigerian leaders do not value the nation’s education sector because they (leaders) lack ‘qualitative’ education.

Mr Durotoye made this known at an annual leadership and entrepreneurs’ conference organised by the students of the Department of Economics, Obafemi Awolowo University, on Wednesday.

His criticism is coming at a time university lecturers are clamouring for proper funding of Nigerian universities and have shut down academic activities in various schools.

Recall that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) embarked on an indefinite and ‘total’ strike on Sunday and the compliance of some schools.

Addressing the comatose state of the education sector, Mr Durotoye said Nigerian leaders do not really have the quality “of what we can call education”.

Since most of them have no idea of what education actually means, they are always finding it very difficult to actually define the space of education in a nation’s development. If you do not have something it is possible for you not to value it” he said.

Also, he faulted the curricular of the country’s tertiary institutions, saying “there’s need to have practicing individuals in the disciplines design it.”

We can specialise our institutions, and once we specialise our institutions, we specialise the people. Our generation must build a nation where everybody gets equal values without necessarily have to know anybody, where you want and receive equally those opportunities the rich get easily.

The problem with southwest is that they are the least educated tribe in Nigeria. Igbo's are generally the most educated then others follow. If southwest people can focus more on education, technical development etc, skull minining , rape ,armed robbery, fayawo and oluwole runs will be a thing of the past.
.

boosting of having an education in Nigeria is an illusion brother.

HAVE YOU LOST ALL HOPE IN LIFE.

You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice.

You are stronger than you realize, don’t forget it. Often times you won’t know how truly strong and remarkable you are until your situation calls for it.

The next time something bad happens don’t dwell on it, that never helps. Instead, use it as motivation to move forward and keep on believe that it's possible to achieve that goal or dream. You have the ability to do more than you could ever begin to imagine. Don’t waste your time dwelling on the skills and expertise that you lack, it only ruins your future potential.

It’s easy to feel disappointed if you lose a job, relationship or take a step backward in life. Often times though it is for the better if you choose to view the event as an opportunity.

Choose to move forward and find good in your situation.

Ask yourself, "Am I ready to change my life",  if you answer affirmatively then watch this video.

Education / Education In Nigeria by TheIlliterate: 1:53am On May 05, 2018
Millions of jobless graduates every year like they all studied fishery. To an average Nigerian Garri and sugar is our best grocery. To say the truth I don't understand poetry. I only see it as scattered grains inside a poultry. Young boys and girls soliloquizing like they are chanting their rosary. Innocent people who find themselves in an unending misery. The third world countries are producing machinery. For more than a century Nigeria is still making enquiry. For five years some states are yet to pay salary. Everyday is the governors' birthday happy and merry. And they know that we all are living in adject penury. Some say education is paramount, it's all for Thievery. Teaching us things that our brains cannot carry. We study day and night just to memorise theory. But we are not able to explain binary. What can we do to ameliorate this mental injury. Those without certificate have suffered in this country. Whenever they try to prove a point you say it's dissatisfactory. judge me by what I know stop being discriminatory. They can help you with intellectual surgery. Our educational system is dead it's self congratulatory. professors with the highest titles, in reality it's all complementary. BBC MMM 419 TVC it is hallucinatory. For them to explain 2+2 they make it sound extraordinary. You hear words like Hypo pituitary , Me thy mercury. Excuse me sir, why do you confuse us with this vocabulary. He says“ that is what make my explanation classificatory". At the end nothing looks corroboratory. The conservative students would shout that's satisfactory!. These are facts I swear they are not exaggeratory. Nothing is working in this country we need ideas that are revolutionary. When Big Brother Naija becomes our most educative documentary. And you walk around on every lips you hear the commentary. Ritualists and Oloshos are our most celebrated beneficiary. When going to school to gain knowledge becomes obligatory. And more than a million naira paid as precursory. Which ends with NYSC salutary. Even if these students studied Chemistry. They are not competent to work as mama Nkechi liquid soap secretary. In 21st century university degree shouldn't be mandatory. You'll understand this if you're a visionary. I'm not saying we should to military. Old men declare wars but its the youths that take up weaponry. As youths let's discuss discovery. Not senseless beauty pageantry. We need new think tank to rebuild our industry. And come together to rewrite our history. If I've inadvertently hurt your feelings, I say I'm Sorry.

Politics / The Reality In Nigeria by TheIlliterate: 7:49am On May 02, 2018
At the mention of Nigeria brings to mind aged men and
women who stang like pigs as the month wore on.
Poor itinerants they have nothing to sleep on.
Golden teeth like that which is fixed when coming back from
Saudi or Lebanon.
But it's as a result of tens of years teeth decay with different
colours like crayon.
Dead meat skin round their waist that's what they put on.
Their kids' faces are filled with pimple.
You see them cry endlessly with their lovely dimple.
At the age of two their faces have wrinkle.
They're as helpless as our forefathers under shackle.
The rich are in their starched Agbadas reading article.
They trivialise these issues making it look simple.
While their boys are in a jakuzi that is filled with bubble.
And their girls are on Gucci with a touch of purple.
They care not if the rest of us are weak and feeble.
As long as their kids are active not gullible.
they are well known and called the inner circle.
Many of us smile while we bleed.
Due to the negligence of our greedy breed.
They have no empathy for us in need.
If only we had grasses to weed.
We would have used it to feed.
We wouldn't have acted like those that smoke weed.
O Nigerians let's look at the evil we did.
Other countries say we're wicked indeed.
It is a fact because this is our deed.
Here in our country and over seas.
Because we've all misplaced our priorities.
All we do is buy big cars and properties.
And eat food of various varieties.
Many innocent souls choke.
Our families heart now broke.
We are penniless and extremely broke.
Millions of us cannot afford a bottle of Coke.
Our youths are wild like they are high on coke.(cocaine)
this suffering is so intense so tell me how can we cope.
Beyond sentiment and prejudices this is the scope.
In our villages water is scares but gun is cheap.
As tall as a mountain it's all human heap.
It's 3am in the morning we are all asleep.
Alarms don't work in our villages it's bombs that bleep.
Epidemic dehydration so we drink our blood.
While our leaders buy a 2 billion naira Ford.
A car that Bill Gate cannot afford.
He would rather pledge the money to save the world.
We are seriously oppressed and depressed.
What can we do except to sit passively like one who is
pressed.
please! try as much as possible to remember this word.
Because good messages in Nigeria easily get blurred.
