PoliticsRe: Nigeria Set To Join BRICS, May Start Trading Crude Oil In Naira by themanderon: 11:07pm On Mar 08, 2024
abobote:
Russia produce most of the things they use and they are major exporter in international markets.
Nigeria on the other hand are import dependent and export only crude. If they sell in naira, how will they get foreign currency to import their needs?
Please tell me what we were exporting in the 60s, 70s, and 80's that made our naira then to be stronger than the dollar before structural adjustment came and scuppered everythinghuh
The thing is our governments over the years have not been telling us the truth about our exports. Does it mean Nigeria gets nothing from it's solid minerals exports?
As for where the forex will be coming from those crude oil buyers are going to be buying our naira with their dollars helping the naira to appreciate because enough dollars will now be chasing our naira making it to appreciate in value instead of too much naira chasing the dollar like we have presently that made the naira to plummet.
A few weeks ago The Afghani the currency of Afghanistan which is the poorest country in the world performed creditably well against the dollar and all other currencies of major world powers. What do they export? Opium? The government simply made it a crime for anyone to spend any other currency other than the Afghani and they sold most of their exports using the same Afghani. International buyers were made to change their currencies to the Afghani before you can make any transactions just like the Russians did. It takes a strong will to do to these things but our government is still too tied to the west and all their agents like the IMf and world bank.

I can't see the advantage in this.
They will buy the oil in naira, and we will source for dollars to import items into the country, since we import virtually everything we use
It will surely reduce the pressure on forex. This is the reason Russia was able to stay very much above water despite the Western sanctions. They started selling their oil which is a necessary commodity to the Europeans in the Russian rouble making the rouble to appreciate against the dollar as Europeans scrambled for it to buy their oil.
Even the Afghanistan Afghani rose against the dollar because a similar measure was adopted to save their currency.

Foreign AffairsRe: War In Ukraine: How Russia Spied On A German General. by themanderon: 5:33pm On Mar 08, 2024
Where are all the billions of dollars worth of weapons sent to Ukraine? O yes it's been blown to smitherings by Russia. This is the same Russia the west told us had obsolete technology yet the technology has been obliterating their own technology back to back.

The death of a poor man is not the same as the death of a rich man. Like it or not. That's the truth. If Herbert were poor you think even you will care? It is what it is.
Read the book of Ecclesiastes you will understand this world better.

Even in their death, they are not treated as vanity because they are rich. Do you know how many poor people die every day and are not being mourned or celebrated like this because they are poor?
Whether celebrated or not it doesn't matter anymore. The concept of being rich or poor ends in this world. Even if the whole of humanity gathers for your burial it counts for nothing as the spirit is long gone from this realm.

Houthis are flexing their muscles now and feeling fly. By the time the west will lunch a full scale war against them everyone will be shouting women and children like headless chickens.

They do not car about the consequences of their actions now on their women and children. Let them continue.
It seems Islam just makes all these terrorists stupid.
FamilyRe: Nigerian Wife Kicks UK Husband Out From Home by themanderon: 12:13am On Mar 07, 2024
NeckingNgulping:
Every now and then, i see news of women throwing their men out in the UK. This begs for a few questions..

Don't the men have the wherewithal to get a house for themselves that they chose to live with a woman i believe takes care of the rent?

Do they not notice when the problem is looming, so they can vacate on their own without being thrown out?

You paid 24k pound for her school fees and you didn't plan to get an apartment for yourself knowing how women in UK are always prone to throwing their men out.
Did you watch the video at all? He pays for the house. In all these Western countries women are usually favoured far above the men. That is why many Nigerians usually resort to killing their wives over there
I have seen the story of a man who spent years struggling and when he wanted to marry he came down here and picked a wife. He trained her as a nurse over there and when she started making money all hell was let loose and the man was thrown out of the house he suffered to own and all he laboured for including his kids. He just went and acquired a gun and blasted her to hell where he feels she belongs and called the cops to report himself.
Did you not see what happened to Emmanuel Ebue formally of Arsenal FC. He lost all he labored for to his white wife.
Women have control over the men over there and can ruin a man who is not careful. See the case of Mason Greenwood of Man utd and Benjamin Mendy of man city. They were ruined by women.

Nooo. Malema doesn't support xenophobia at all. He always fights against it and is a proponent of African Unity and one Africa. In fact, he usually attacks the Western world for carving up Africa.

Smh. Nigeria is not giving excuses, we can't keep using our hard earned forex to keep defending our naira against US dollars overvalued on the street and disgraced Binance by unpatriotic criminals.
Yeah when it comes to ordinary Nigerians they can't continue to spend "Our hard-earned forex" but when it comes to buying exorbitant SUVs for themselves they can spend abi? Just continue to be a fool for these criminals in power.

I totally support the reform, we can't continue as tenants to borrowers in our own country flows with everything to sustain us.

Enough of fake life by standing on borrowing unecessar and wasting resources.

No pain no gain.
Keep standing with reforms just like you did with Buhari whose reforms ruined Nigeria and the one you are currently supporting is burying the country with his reforms. Una mumu can last a thousand years.

PoliticsRe: Kebbi Governor, Nasir Idris Gives Out Multimillion Naira Cars To Lawmakers by themanderon: 9:20am On Mar 06, 2024
Where are those oafs screaming subsidy must go? See where the subsidy is going to. With the so-called increase in allocation to states this one thought it a good idea to buy cars worth millions while people are busy looting trucks for survival.
We are truly cursed with bad leaders in this Shithole country of ours. There is just no light at the end of the tunnel because the so-called leaders are totally bereft of any ideas of what leadership is all about. To them it is all about personal mindless acquisition of wealth.

The problem I have with the Nigerian government is that they do not support businesses to grow but will tax these same business to death. No country can grow with such retrogressive policies.
The Nigerian government is the problem of Nigeria since it's inception. We have never had a pro-people government in Nigeria since 1960 till date.

There wasn't enmity between Aketi and his deputy. The people who ran his government in proxy were only insecure. The deputy is like vice Principal in a School, he is in control when Principal is not around.
They wanted him to be replaced so they can continue the proxy government.
Well, I don't know much about ondo state politics, I am only referring to how politicians behave generally in Nigeria.
