36xtr09r: [s]You need to borrow a leaf from this sensible Yoruba elder and stop disgracing yourself up and down NL. Igbos are not your mates.
"For Lagos State, more than 70% of the manufacturing concerns and major industries in the State are owned by the Igbos. If the Igbos were to stop paying tax in Lagos State, the IGR of Lagos State will reduce by over 60%. In contrast, Sir, go to the South East and look at the manufacturing concerns in Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi. Please don't forget those were areas ravaged by civil war a mere forty something years ago. The Igbos have certainly made tremendous progress but the Yoruba nation has regressed. I wish to state that this letter is not meant to whip up primordial considerations or ethnic sentiments but just to put things in proper perspective." - Maj. Gen Adebayo Adeyinka (rtd.) https://www.nairaland.com/3173893/open-letter-asiwaju-bola-ahmed-tinubu[/s] Ibos don't pay taxes. JoSaintiago: Therefore, whenever some people address you Igbos as mere traders and Keke riders, tell them that in addition to doing very well in business, science, technology and SPORTS you are also ahead in academia. No amount of hatred can change blessings from God. I keep telling you Ibos, trading is not business When you talk business, you talking in Yoruba. Igbo: Imports china and sells at market/shops. Yoruba: Owns businesses in different countries. |

Knowledge9000: That's why those from the yoloba will go any length to marry an Igbo woman...just to get a little piece of that Igbo blood in their children. I wonder why you Ibos can't enjoy your chest beating threads without mentioning Yorubas. You reek of inferiority complex. Yorubas go to which length? Or why do Ibo women of nowadays prefer marrying Yoruba men? And when they have kids, why do they prefer giving them Yoruba names (i.e Yemi Alade)? Why do most of your musicians sing in Yoruba? Why are your people now dressing in Yoruba attire, compare to 1 or two Yorubas dressing in Ibo attire? Why are y'all dressing as Yoruba, but calling it "Ashebi", when we know its Aso ebi? Why do you prefer living amongst Yoruba people than living in Iboland? Yoruba culture is the most attractive, no matter how you wail on social media to bring it down. It will keep soaring. https://img08.deviantart.net/73e1/i/2013/066/a/5/omo_yoruba_ni_mi_wallpaper_by_xforxstudio-d5x92ls.png |

MrMcJay: None of Ojukwu's children died of starvation during the Civil War. They were all well fed and cozy in the bunkers.
None of Uwazurike's children has ever been shot or even arrested for Pro-Biafa activities. They are all flexing in the wealth gotten from the Biafran struggle by Uwazurike.
None of Kanu's relations has been arrested for the Biafran struggle. His wife chose to protest for Biafra abroad. Why didn't she come to Onitsha or Aba?
There are more effective ways of fighting this Biafran struggle. This is the 21st Century, there is no point taking a knife to a gunfight. Diplomacy, Pressure and tact are very important.
Wisdom is profitable to direct. |
