Manchester City CEO, Ferran Soriano has stated that all allegations leveled against the club by UEFA are false.

Soriano who spoke publicly for the first time since the club was handed a two-year ban by UEFA, insists claims from European football’s governing body that City committed “serious breaches” of UEFA’s club licensing and financial fair play regulations are “simply not true”.

City are set to appeal against the ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and in a video interview posted on Manchester city’s website, Soriano expressed confidence at city”s chances of being cleared of any wrongdoing.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper and 1958 Munich air disaster hero, Harry Gregg has passed away at the age of 87.

Gregg, a Northern Ireland international who had 25 caps for his country, was famous for helping to rescue some of his teammates and other passengers on board the plane which came down in Munich as United traveled back from a European Cup tie in Belgrade on February 6, 1958.

A group of protesters has stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Abuja demanding the removal of the national chairman Adams Oshiomhole.

Three soldiers of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD) were yesterday, rewarded with special promotion to the next rank, for their outstanding performances in the ongoing war against insurgency in the North East.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, decorated the soldiers during a visit to their camp on Sunday as part of his operational visit to troops in the north east.

The three soldiers, Felix Ugwu, Kehinde Goban and Ishaq Yesif, are serving at Super Camp 3 in Buratai, Biu Local Government Area of Borno.

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has on Friday said that he hosted the meeting of South West Governors and the IG of Police where they talked about issues around community policing.

US President Donald Trump faced fresh accusations of abuse of power Tuesday after appearing to pressure the Justice Department to seek a lighter prison sentence for his longtime political aide Roger Stone.

Stone was convicted in November last year of lying to Congress, tampering with a witness and obstructing the House investigation into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia to cheat in the 2016 election.
