Rich4god: You might not even get such things when we divide. From what I have experienced, if this current people spear heading the creation of Biafra, including those behind radio biafra, the state of Biafra will be in a big mess after its actualization... Shut up if you don't have anything up your head. Which big mess are you talking about, do you think biafra is Nigeria? |
Politics › Re: Biafra Will Be Totally Different From Nigeria. Here's How! by TheOnlyWiseMan: 3:17pm On Oct 08, 2015 |
abikubu: Your copy and paste response to original thought cannot bring you biafra from the grave! Neither is South Sudan born out of tribal bigotry or false premise for the Ibos to have a country of their own. In deed, Biafra is a minority ibo project, e.g., Kanu, MASSOB.
I will tell you what you need to know about South Sudan before latching onto it because it is a false example for biafra. Firstly, South Sudan is part of Sub-Saharan Africa subsumed into Ottoman Caliphate of Egypt in the Sahel region, including Sudan in the 19th century. South Sudan was never part of Sahel region geographically!
South Sudan has 5 major tribes and about 75 other sub-tribes unlike biafra, which is a fruitless Ibo tribal country quest, albeit a dead one! South Sudan has international boundaries with six African countries: Kenya, Uganda, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan but Ibos are entirely surrounded by Nigeria and totally dependent on Nigeria from air, land and sea.
South Sudan had been fighting Sudan for almost 40 years. During this period, there were countless massacres, crimes against humanity, famines and countless deaths. This is the condition for UN to get involved in internal affairs of member states. To prevent genocide or ethnic cleansing!
Even so, the Peace Agreement that made possible the referendum and subsequent independence was mediated by the Intergovernmental Authority on Development and a consortium of donor countries. As an impartial referee, the UN sponsored and supervised the referendum. Note that none of these could have been possible without the agreement of the warring parties. UN does not impose referendum or create countries.
In your desperation for biafra, you can grasp at any illogicality to buttress a stale tale. For us, Nigerians, the tale of vanquished biafra is a non-issue but your dogmatism is the chief source of your ignorance. Finally, you can't create biafra from the internet but you can make noise all you want. Thank you for your endless sermon, with this, I'm convinced that you believe that biafra is not achievable. I advise you quit this and other similar threads so as to allow us to continue our Wild Goose Chase THANKS |

abikubu: The statement in bold is your own and not mine. How dare you put the Palestinian question into the same bigotry as ibos'? Palestine was a country until the creation of Israel and the subsequent wars, especially in 1967 which displaced millions of them. Their right to return to their country and end the Israeli occupation is the matter before the UN in the form of "Two-State solution to which overwhelming majority of UN member states ascribed to.
Before your schizophrenic wish for ibo's own country deteriorates your already intellectual feebleness further, there is no comparison between the Palestinian issue and biafra.
In your disorganised delusions you flippantly declared 'biafra has Nine States" without saying which states have signed up to join biafra or whether there is an official request pending before the Nigerian Parliament!
At this juncture, I must reiterate that leaders of old biafra had declared biafra dead or ceased to exist, yet people like you who have nothing better to do than mischief keep throwing up tribal bigotry around ibo issues as if you are the only tribe in Nigeria.
As stated, Nigeria did far better without the Ibos during the war and emerged relatively unscratched while the ibos saw hell on earth without Nigeria, just to stress the point of who is the armed robber and victim!
In short, your confused noise about building your biafra by displaying a collection of foreign pictures without exploring the wherewithal, the origins, architectural history, the wars fought, history and development of the nation state, philosophy and economy has taken your hallucinations to raving madness.
Lest you don't know, UN has no mandate to divide a sovereign country into tribal countries or even to interfere in internal domestic politics of member states as far as no one tribe is being persecuted. But then your bigotry won't let you see reason. For your mind you've made some valid points? Check this out. The people of Southern Sudan made history in January, voting overwhelmingly in a United Nations-backed referendum to secede from Sudan and form their own country. People like you will always reason from the wrong end! To all the succinct points the man raised, all you could reply was a terse rhetoric!
Great leaders don't march his poor innocent people to war if he knows he cannot win or will not die with them. He must not value his life more than those millions that died.
What a self-serving cowardly leader is that who ran away from the war for his dear life while his people died in millions? Only Ojukwu! List the names of leaders who died in war front. Wait o o, where did Ojukwu mentioned that he ran away? |

Zeeblamj01: Hello to u guys. Ive read all the insults as well as the plans of making Biafra a real thing... First, I want to talk about Ojukwu. U have immortalized him in your hearts. Why? He ran away and left u all to die. In my opinion, thats not fair especially if he was a leader. A good leader takes off his crown and shoes to fight side by side and even die with his people. He didnt feel that what he believed in was enough to die for. Helpless women and children died for his ego. And ge ran away with his rich friends. If I am wrong , enlighten me.
Now on the civil war, ibos did die... ss, se, died as well. They paid the price for things that some of them knew not so much about... If u want biafra, what are u doing about it? Is it only here on Nairaland? Cause I dont see u ibos tearing your Nigerian passports and coming back to Biafra. U are all enjoying the privileges of having a nigerian passport. I believe in freedom and thats why, I do support that if a person does not want to be Nigerian, do not force him. I think the ibos should l be allowed to form their own country. If it fails, they could always lean on other west African countries. I pray it doesnt though. Lol. I will take a tourist visa to ur country Biafra one day. Please guys, stop the fighting and let them strategize. I am a northerner ( adamawa, kaduna state) of Nigeria and I think the ibos should go since they are not happy to be with us ( cow smelling people) as they term us. Peace! So your heartaches is because Nigeria military failed to capture and kill Ojukwu? I can tell you that the fact that he survived war means his biafra dreams survived. |

During his speech at the UN general Assembly yesterday, President Buhari goofed when he dabbled into the Palestinian issue. We have issues of such at home. It might be use against him at home and on international politicking. Below is part of the address to UN Mr. President, 27. As we engage in these annual debates, we need remind ourselves of the principles that led to the founding of the United Nations. Among those are peaceful coexistence and self- determination of peoples. In this context, Mr. President, the unresolved question of self- determination for the Palestinian people and those of Western Sahara, both nations having been adjusted by the United Nations as qualifying for this inalienable right must now be assured and fulfilled without any further delay or obstacle. 28. The international community has come to pin its hopes on resolving the Palestinian issue through the two – states solution which recognises the legitimate right of each state to exist in peace and security. The world has no more excuses or reasons to delay the implementation of the long list of Security Council resolutions on this question. Neither do we have the moral right to deny any people their freedom or condemn them indefinitely to occupation and blockade Mr. President, delegates of member countries… The president should know that what he's asking to be given to Palestine and western Sahara is exactly what biafrans are asking to be given. |

unstableaswater: 3 million people died in the Biafra war. How many Nigerians die from police brutality daily?
1 mans death at the hands of the criminal Nigeria security agency will not change anything.
Rather, this makes us angry and more determined to fight and get our Biafra.
If murder solved the problem of separatist, then Britain would have murdered the Irish to their satisfaction.
In fact they did, but then it was no longer fun wen the Irish started murdering dem(British) like rats.
Today Ireland is a country on its own.
Biafra is the only way our lives and property can be truily secured.
Nigeria is a death trap that Biafra must be free from.
Long Live Biafra!
