wickedclown:Same way MD of Nigeria Airways launched the company with aircraft. It is you people who believe without asking critical questions and seeing unequivocal proof of truth that should have their heads examined. |
Fortune109:There's no reason for people to be optimistic because fuel price even went up after Dangote refinery started operations. You're the evil lot here. Meanwhile Tinubu till 2039 ![]() |
Tajbol4splend:The people's purchasing power has been massively eroded so you're just not making any sense. You obviously haven't done any serious business in your life before to say this rubbish. |
If you don't know who Dr Chife is, at least Google him. An ex director at Apple, he's one of the IT pioneers in Nigeria with his company Socket Works laying the foundation for so many IT projects in the public and private sectors. Many happy returns to a great Igbo son and prolific Nigerian! |
LastGiantAlive:Unfortunately it is too late. I hope you and your family survive 8 years of Tinubu and if you don't, well, not much to be said, you brought it upon yourself. My suggestion would be that as a form of restitution, you try as much as possible to change the minds of as many Yoruba peeps around you as you can, so that they can eschew ethnic bigotry and tribalism, not just in future elections, but as a way of life in general. Now this is not to say that other tribes are completely innocent, but we know how ethnic and religious bigotry has taken centre stage in Nigeria since 2015, unfortunately supported and bolstered by people like you who remain unenlightened. Welcome to the light, if truly you have been liberated. I wish you the best too. |
In 2023 they paid over 3 trillion Naira, even more that the amount paid in 2022. In 2024, they're owing 5 trillion Naira already. Wale Edun came on national TV to say subsidy removal saved Nigeria $20bn. All smoke and mirrors. Tinubu believes he can lead with propaganda and lies. 1984 happening before our eyes, Nigeria has now transformed into an Orwellian nightmare where the govt, against all available evidence tells us to believe their propaganda and lies and ignore what we can clearly see happening. Meanwhile the usually loquacious and vociferous Wole Soyinka has gone mute for months because his good friend and tribesman is in power. What a country! |
The great Abamieda, baba 70, Anikulapo himself did x100 of what you tried to do David, and he also failed. Nigerians called him a drug addict and never bothered to listen, despite Fela putting his life on the line in a bid to liberate Nigerians. He later regretted most of his actions after realising that his attempts to liberate Nigerians were futile, the reason being that the average Nigerian is unenlightened, uncivilised, bigoted, selfish, greedy and with a parochial mindset. Peter Obi will also soon come to the same realisation. Any attempt to save Nigerians will always end in futility. Until a critical mass of the populace becomes enlightened, there is really no hope. |
Nigerians deserve every bit of the suffering and more. I don't pity anyone anymore because come 2027 elections, they will still chose religious, ethnic and stomach infrastructure sentiments in voting. Let everyone carry their cross. I hope the current suffering increases tenfold sef. Nigerians deserve it 👏 |
IfyAwazie:Me too ![]() Threads like this is why I haven't deactivated my account yet. |
mariovito:Critical reasoning at its finest. It's a very sensitive, complex situation that must be viewed from a historical lens. Every sane, critical mind understands this and refrains from taking sides in the war. May justice and truth prevail. |
tubolancer:Nothing complicated about unscrupulous criminals using violence, thuggery, intimidation, bribery, nepotism and vote buying to win elections. As a matter of fact, its the lowest level in terms of political sophistry. You keep talking about no emotions in politics - so you prefer criminals in power than people of integrity who would rather walk away than soil their name with the blood of the innocent in the name of snatching and running away with power? The most unfortunate part is that most Nigerians think the same way you do, which means the country still has a few centuries of suffering to do before una wake up and smell the coffee. Hear it now - the average Igbo man is not interested in dirty Nigerin politics of occultism, godfatherism, violence, killing and bribery. If you like call it being emotional na you sabi but if you think the crude emilokan politics of snatching and grabbing power through criminal means is your ideal kind of "unemotional" politics, then you're still a savage. You people deserve the kind of leaders you are getting so far and by the looks of it, the suffering is still warming up. |
anonimi:Anonimi you're over 40 years old and still behaving like a teenager, doing ethnic dog whistling and casting tribal slurs at everyone who goes against your perceived political position. What did they say about a fool at 40 again? Chai ![]() |
ThunderfireNLMO:That's the popular thing in Nigeria actually. Cast derogatory slurs at Igbos at every opportunity you get as a Nigerian to show loyalty to the demons in power and to get other Nigerians behind you. It's a crazy tactic that works every time, which is evidence of how deeply divided Nigeria has always been. Nothing good can come out of such a situation which is why young people like yourself are firmly on the japa train. Until a larger number of Nigerians relegate ethnic rivalry, nepotism, tribalism and religious bigotry to the background, Nigeria can never move forward. |
Omoawoke:Tell your story to the birds. Nigeria is way worse than a zoo at the moment, at least a zoo has some level of order, unlike the absolute chaos Nigeria is at the moment. Not happy about the situation but that's the truth! |
Coldspice:First off, the children are both Yoruba and Igbo, and judging from you Ronus behaviour, they probably detest their father's side of the family already. Meanwhile Ndi ofemmmanu (which literally means those that cook their soups with oil) = Omo yiibo = Aboki. Don't come here pretending the 3 major tribes in Nigeria don't call themselves the above, stop trying to be clever by half. We know your type anyway. |
Can you imagine? This one is sycophancy and asslicking taken 10 notches up ![]() |
toyosiolamide:Once you say vote right in Nigeria, people automatically assume you mean do not vote a convicted drug bagman who had to forfeit $460,000.00 and flee the US to evade justice for his crimes. Unfortunately you are correct, the curse of "democracy" in a country where most of the citizens are unenlightened and clannish is that they can decide to vote a clannish bigot into power and the rest of the country can't do much but say "we told you so" when everything starts to fall apart just like the case of Buhari. While I don't even believe that we practice democracy (because its all about vote buying, rigging, buying judges and using violence to disenfranchise voters in Nigeria), most Nigerians as a matter of fact, usually vote someone for president for 1 of 3 reasons: they're of the same ethnic group, they're of the same religion or to further their perceived political advantages. It is clear that most Nigerians are myopic, greedy and motivated by bigotry when making such an important decision that seriously affects our lives. Ultimately, we respect their right to choose based on the above criteria which is why you haven't heard of people being killed or maimed because they voted a particular candidate (although this happened in Lagos and some parts of the North in 2023 and 2015 respectively, where people perceived to be the "others", read as Igbos, were brutally attacked for choosing to vote their preferred candidate). You open your mouth to tell me about tolerance when APC and its supporters have been the most intolerant set of party members since 1960. We will maintain decorum as always, however, while respecting the right of other Nigerians to vote who they want, we have a right to be vocal about why their choice is a disaster for everyone. We pointed out that Buhari is here to destroy Nigeria and Tinubu will finish whatever is left of it - this is unfolding before our very eyes - Nigeria now has more people living in extreme poverty than India and China combined. People like you think it's a game, and that you can always reverse the effect of who you choose to be president and what they do to the country. It is far from a game, and some leadership decisions lead mass hopelessness and deaths, meaning they are irreversible. Again, we cannot resort to being brutish because people made political choices thinking they want to harm us (whether knowingly or not). But, we reserve every right to blame and taunt them about their obviously woeful decision until the fat lady sings. And yes, we also don't care to try to reason with such humans because they are beyond redemption. Nigeria is now in a race to the bottom, and just like a sinking ship, it is almost no longer salvageable. I hope people continue to vote their preferred candidate (especially known criminals and bigots) and people like you continue to make excuses for them, until the centre completely falls apart. Might be best for everyone so we can rebuild from scratch. A long epistle yea, I don't expect you to read it but I've made peace with the fact that Nigerians deserve all of their woes and more. |
While I agree that Kemi's utterances have been denigrating, her words about Nigeria ring very true. Kidnappers and bandits conduct their activities unchecked, while less than 10% of the country has potable pipe-borne water provided by govt. I personally fall into the category that witnessed incessant armed robberies, had to walk miles to get water in my village back then, and saw lizards running around the dry govt taps. So, while it's easy to dismiss Kemi as a clown dancing in her political circus, we must be introspective enough to acknowledge the truths in her submissions. I rest my case. |
toyosiolamide:Jeopardise any opportunities? You talk as if you're doing anybody favours when you vote right. Lol. |
Mtmike:If Obi's words which ring true and are very much in order, in my view, makes you feel some type of way because you're a Yoruba person, then it is not out of place to say that you might still have primordial, unreasonable attachment to your ethnic group and identity as a Yoruba. 'Might' is the Operative word here since I don't know you well enough to say so definitively. Ultimately, until a critical mass of Nigerians eschew ethnic bigotry and chauvinism - on all sides - Nigeria will never move forward. So even though it might hurt, the truth is the only element that can hasten this enlightenment process cos as it stands, from my experience, less than 20% of Nigerians seem to be able to rise above primordial sentiments and stand on the side of objective truth. |
Mtmike:You're simply being emotional and irrationally sensitive to everything because at your core, maybe you have not overcome bigotry. PO said the factual truth, so if you like keep looking for his words to manipulate or take out of context. Black man, so easy to activate tribalism and ethnocentricity in you people. You need to become enlightened and rise above such nonsense. As the wise know, the truth will always hurt, yes we know a huge number of Yorubas voted for PO, but it should not be anything they should be expecting gratitude for. Also, Tinubu won 4 out of 6 SW states, clear evidence that a huge number of Yorubas also bought into the awa l'okan slogan, now see where Nigeria is today. The truth must be said no matter whose ox is gored. If you like vex vote for Sowore or Kingsley Moghalu or Tpain, you're not doing anyone any favours. Cheers. |
Sleekfingers:Jonathan did what? Stop vomiting propaganda that Tinubu Media fed you since 2015 and start thinking for yourself. You can start here: https://www.nairaland.com/7846374/unmasking-lies-igbos-dominated-ex-president |
Donaldoni:You have either been fed a lie that you never bothered to actually investigate, or you just don't want to believe the truth no matter what. Here is GEJ's appointments: https://www.nairaland.com/7846374/unmasking-lies-igbos-dominated-ex-president |
SmartyPants:It's called an analogy and I expected it to be beyond your comprehension. If there is no transparency and integrity in a small "youth empowerment" programme of maybe a couple 100 millions in Naira, you expect integrity, accountability and transparency in bigger programmes running into hundreds of billions? Or maybe those qualities are beyond the comprehension and imagination of the average Nigerian like yourself; which would be a tragedy in itself. I also expect this point to be beyond your comprehension. I will not bother to respond to you further. You are right Mr SmartyPants ![]() |
SmartyPants:Of course that's all that matters. Same way criminal governors inflate contracts to build flyovers, airports and roads to nowhere. But all that matters according to you, is that "they were built". Like I have said many times on this forum, with people who think like you being in the majority, I frankly don't see a way out for Nigeria. |
WizardOfNG:Is it not clear that these children are able to be exploited due to extreme poverty, hardship, illiteracy and street begging rampant especially in the North - a direct, visible, catastrophic failure of governance at state and federal levels? And in your view, the best way to deal with minors is to lock them up in adult prisons? You Nigerians are mostly heartless and truly deserve all of the current suffering plus the ones to come walahi. |
SmartyPants:You take money from our common patrimony, billions of naira, and you distribute to party members in the name of rewarding "loyalty". The scary part is that majority of Nigerians think just like you. And we wonder why the country is the poverty capital of the world? I'm neither disappointed nor surprised. You people's suffering is just warming up. |
Of course a lot of Nigerians don't see any issues with such behaviour. They'll say "if na you, your friends and loyalists no go benefit first?" The inherent selfishness, myopism and cryonism plaguing the average African in particular. Not knowing that the way criminal politicians like Wike handle smaller projects like this is the same way the bigger ones go - awarded to friends, cronies and fellow criminals in power. A stunted country full of mostly fools. |
And the ignorant buffoon called Iyin Aboyeji, without realising how privileged he is, went on national TV to say that Nigerians waste electricity, and are driving SUVs anyhow. This is the thought system of most the agbado people in govt today. Most Nigerians, especially the so-called leaders have lost hope in the country. Everyone is just waiting for doomsday at this point, while making sure their families are not in Nigeria. Do with the above information what you will. |
ShescreamEWOOO:Lol. Na you sabi o. Nigeria remains the poverty capital of the world, but you think measuring dîcks and who has worse roads is fruitful use of my time? I only pointed out the flaw in your logic. You can continue as you were, I don't give a damn about comparing roads. |

typical gaslighting nature...
