Go and talk to an experienced doctor and get her the help she needs before things get worse for everyone in your family and do it fast!!

It's not so much a tribe issue, rather, a family issue. I believe this girl didn't grow up with a strong or effective disciplinary system in place. A child does not just wake up one day and start treating her mum like that.

I appreciate your efforts to set her straight, but you have to start doing it in the presence of the mum and start teaching the mum too to not take rubbish.


There should be serious consequences for her actions (eg phone seizing, food deprivation, increasing her portion of chores and make it known it's because of her misdeed).

She might be too far gone already, but she (the mom) should at least try.
