Hi bro, please kindly help us for UTAD to give 1 month extension to their resumption date...the admission letter I have with me is currently for 4th march resumption and it may affect visa processing...I have been trying to tell them (UTAD) but they haven't given a positive reply.
Its the one delaying me.
Go on and apply for your visa. It won't have any effect on your visa application rather it will even help to fasten it.

Theroyalprince does the embassy confirm the bank statement ?

Yes, the embassy have the right and can go any length to confirm the authenticity of visa applicant bank statement.

The embassy have delayed you enough, so don't gamble with your application. "Do what is worth doing".
Travel / Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by TheRoyalprince(m): 9:56pm On Feb 25, 2015
Congrats to those that were call for visa application.

Attention visa applicants: Now that your docs have gone through authenticity confirmation, the strange and major document you will be submitting now to back up your visa application is Bank Statement aside police clearance certificate.

It will be good and best to have the money deposited in your account in which the statement will be printed with your name.

In the case of using sponsorer Bank Statement, please make sure your sponsor account is fatty with cash flow. Also, request and attach reference letter from the bank with the bank letter headed stating your relationship with the sponsor and the duration he/she will be sponsoring you.

The embassy don't state passport photograph requirement but it will be good to take 5 × 5 passport photograph along with white background.

Sample of Sponsorer Letter.
N/B: Please change your grammar and format of letter if you're on sponsorship.

Mail sent to Natalia, IPB International Relation Officer

From: XXXXXXXXXXXX
Date: Jan 7, 2015 9:58 AM
Subject: RE: COMPLAIN ABOUT NIGERIA PERSPECTIVE STUDENTS/VISA APPLICANTS TO IPB BRAGANCA
To: "Natalia Santos" <natalia@ipb.pt>
Cc:

Dear Ma,

How are you and how was your holidays? Is good to see you back in office and kudos for your assistance and support to perspective students.

My ink may sink so deep but am to inform you on the current situations on ground ranging from visa process to arriving and studying in IPB.

No doubt about IPB being among the top ranking schools in Portugal making more application to flood in day in day out but it is worrisome when perspective student dream become nightmare.

I’m overwhelmed with emotions of the experience some students coming to IPB Braganca were currently facing at the Portuguese Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria.

Nigeria Government decided to kick against the practice, where its citizens are treated without any dignity over visa applications in their own country.

IPB as a learning and training institute needs more friends than enemies these days, they need talent and genius. If in the final analysis Nigerians are made to be maltreated when it comes to visa issuance without IPB interceding on their behalf, then we watch out for race difference and biasness.

It is necessary for IPB to call Portugal Immigration Service (SEF) and Portugal Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria in to order to ensure the dignifying treatment of all applicants irrespective of their nationalities.

The respect Nigerians have for Portugal will be a thing of the past if they realize that Portuguese Immigration Office (SEF) and Portugal Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria; only say the word and ignore the doing of the word of not treating applicants equally irrespective of race and religion. Nigerians have gone through enough at Portugal Embassy in Abuja that my opinion of Portugal seems to be changing substantially.

A Nigerian perspective student to IPB was denied visa which he has watertight cases, adequate documents and enough funds than you will find in the bank account of an average Portuguese, but still he was denied with no reason.

I am not oblivious of the fact that the conduct of some visa applicants at home and abroad has greatly contributed in making the Portugal Immigration Service (SEF) and Portugal Embassy in Abuja to be harsh on Nigerian visa applicants.

Moreover, neighborhood Cameroonians applicant applying through Portugal Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria also contributed to the harsh on visa applicants by absconding against the purpose of their travel visa once they get to Portugal. These should not be an avenue for making someone sin to be someone punishment. Remember, we cannot compromise the fact that people are not sinner but we can be sin-less.

Perhaps, these can be brought to the bearest minimum by introducing a systematic method in which applicants will be subjected to paying part payment of their tuition fee or full tuition fee prior before getting visa. No sane one will pay such amount of fee and abscond from the purpose of his/her studying when he/she travel to Portugal.

I am making plea to IPB to stand on their feet and save us from the trauma applicants coming to IPB were facing at Portuguese Immigration Service (SEF) and Portugal Embassy in Nigeria.

We recognize your effort as the International Relation Officer and IPB in all but notwithstanding; we need your coalition this time around.

Thank you.

The issue of the Cameroonians that absconded from the school after getting to Portugal is so sad to hear. The fact remain that they can't cheat their way in as much the guys will still be in schengen countries if there 3 months Temporary visa should expire without renewal at SEF (Portugal Home Office). Schengen countries now have security treaty coalition with each other in which once you go against one country policy, all others schengen countries will be on alert.

I had about it and it was my close friend Jnr brother visa that was denied without any reason. All the documents he submitted was real and genuine. What is the excense of the verification and authentication that aplplicant were subjected to at the embassy?

I will write a complaint article on such comes in few days time and cc: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, House Committee on Diaspora (Abike Dabiri Erewa) and European Union Commission (Annex) in Abuja demanding reason for his rejection and the delay Nigerians are facing at the embassy.

European and American Embassies were all aware of Africans wanting to stay back and seek greener pasture in their countries by absconding the purpose of their travel. It has been there before but we only pray for it to the bearest minimum.

To all perspective students going to Portugal for study. Don't panic and lose hope. Keep on dancing to the music of your dream and rock your stage. Nevertheless, this should be a lesson for all. Wish you all the best in your process.

The embassy gave us visa the same and we travel at the same time. You will need marriage certificate for the visa process and it has to be legalize at Ministry of Foreign Affairs only. For the job, I think we have discussed that before. Read through the thread and explore Internet.

what's the N55k people are given the lawyer at the Embassy for?
are the said fund refundable, if things dont work out as planed?
what if it works out, whats next?
what is the visa fee like?
and how long does it takes to the embassy to issue visa?
abeg no vex with my too much questions o.
The money varies from one location to another. It might not be 55k for you if your location is close to the lawyers firm. The money is for the expenses of the lawyer to verify your documents which range from traveling, feeding and other necessary needs that may arise during the verification process.
The fund is non-refundable. It will work out except if you submit fake and fabricated result to the embassy.
After the verification process, the embassy will inform you that your documents is ready for visa application.
There's no visa application. Visa application is free. (You'll see it when you want to fill the visa form cos it was stated that it is free). You only pay 55 EUR for translation of Police Clearance Certificate to Portuguese Language. The embassy will email you visa requirements once your documents has been verified and ready by their lawyer. Note that the verification take close to 2 months or more. For now, focus on the stage you're which is authentication, verification and verification. You will soon get there by the grace of God.
You get your visa in less than 2 months, in some cases One month and few weeks.

Congratulation for your acceptance. Currently, Portugal economy is struggling to go back on it feet due to effect of Economic Meltdown. European Union has been very supportive after it inject billions of euro in order to boost the economy. The economic downturn have effect on jobs and employment which bring unemployment to 13%, in all you can still get job and live.
Romance / Re: How To Identify A Good Wife Material by TheRoyalprince(m): 10:15pm On Dec 05, 2014
1) She should be young.

The woman should 30 years of age MAXIMUM. 25 is even better and 20 is the best age.

A womans body does not age well. You want the most amount of years with your wife having a tight, young, firm body. After 30 it goes downhill fast. At around the age of 31 a woman’s beauty really declines fast.

It’s a trade off, she gives you her good years and you put up with her in her bad years. Never take a woman already in her bad years.

Women do not age well. “Cougars”, older women that younger men find irresistable, are an invention of the movies. Single women over the age of 30 have wasted all their pretty years have a lot of random sex and now they want to find a sucker who will take care of them without having to give him any of her good years. Don’t be that sucker.

A young body is especially important for bearing children. Old women cannot have and don’t have healthy children. At 30 years of age a woman is already 15 years past her child-bearing prime.

But I like talking to smart women. 20 year olds are stupid.

Her IQ won’t grow much with age. A dumb 20 year old is a dumb 30 year old. The difference is that the 30 year old dumb woman is a lot more bitter and has a whole lot less to offer.

2) She has to come from an intact family with original mother and father.

No step-mommies and step-daddies. Children from single mommy homes cannot be healthy. A mother simply cannot raise healthy children alone or with step-daddies. You want an emotionally healthy wife. Women who grew up with divorce have too much baggage, use sluttery as a way to get attention from daddy, and will not know how to act in a proper family setting.

3) She cannot believe in divorce or even imagine getting a divorce.

If she mentions the word ‘divorce’, what to do in case of divorce, praises a friend who got a divorce, or says divorce is an option then she is not a keeper. Throw her back in the water and go fishing some more.

To make a marriage work, both the man and wife must think of divorce as no option at all.

4) She must have the natural body type you prefer.

Every woman will gain a few pounds when they settle with a man. It’s unavoidable. What is unacceptable is a woman blowing up to whale proportions. If a woman was once very fat, lost the weight on crash diets and ultra-gym sessions, that weight will ALL come back plus more when she gets married.

If she has to constantly diet and go to the gym she is about to blow up like a balloon when the ring is on her finger and the vows are spoken.

You must pick the natural body type you like. That means she must have the same body type her whole life, never yo-yo’ing up or down in weight.

She should have a pretty face. When her body goes the only thing that will be left is her face and you will have to see it every single day.

5) She must be image conscious.

A woman who gets pig-fat after marriage is a disgrace to herself and her family. She must be aware of her image and keep her body trim for you. Women will always gain a few pounds after marriage, but there is a difference between a few pounds and one hundred pounds. Take a look at all the women in her family, if they are all pig-fat it’s a good idea to walk away as fast as you can. You will have to see your wife daily, you don’t want to be thinking about skinning some bacon off of her back to cook breakfast.

6) She must be family oriented and not career oriented.

This is going to be the mother of your children and the keeper of your house. An Ass-kicker doesn’t need two incomes, he can provide, what he needs is a keeper of home and heart.

Two income households leave the raising of their children to expensive day cares and schools, and then mommy goes to work so they can afford to pay for day care and babysitters.

I don’t want children.

Don’t get married. The only reason to get married is to have a family.

But I want a career woman.

Doesn’t matter, even if she is a career woman when you meet she will not be when she is older. No woman wants to work but it takes some of them a long time to figure that out. They waste all their youth playing/working their career and then realize what a huge mistake they made and leave their jobs to take care of their (quite possibly retarded – that’s what happens when old ladies have babies) child. How many 45 year old married female lawyers or other professionals do you know?

The women who work in middle age do so because they have no choice and they whine about it every day of their life. They would give anything to leave their jobs and take care of their family instead.

No woman truly wants to work. Work is a mans world and always will be. A woman’s work should be in the home taking care of the home and children.

7) She must be a “good” girl.

She cannot be a drinker or a smoker or have any tattoos. She cannot have a party girl past, a sordid past, and she cannot have gone out more than a couple times drinking. You cannot turn a LovePeddler into a housewife. The more sexual partners she has had the more likely the marriage will end in divorce.

Are you saying all party girls, smokers and drinkers are sluts?

Yes.

The fewer sexual partners your wife has had, the better. The ideal wife should be a virgin. Remember: The more sexual partners she has had the more likely you are to be divorced in about 6 years and lose most of your money, possessions, and your children.

If you think she needs help or that you are helping her and she is changing then you are being foolish and you are being played. It’s going to end badly for you when you get hitched to a woman like this.

Always pick a good girl. That means a virgin (or close), family oriented, pleasant, eager to help, a smiler, and patient.

cool She must have no problem signing a pre-nuptial agreement.

A Pre-nup probably won’t save you much money, if any, in the case of divorce but her signing a pre-nup does one very important thing for you: it shows you she is serious about making the marriage work.

9) She should change herself for you.

When a woman is in love she will change herself to please and conform with you. Her new favorite food will become steak and eggs, she will enjoy watching all six Rocky movies with you, and she will do things to please you she has never done or liked before.

I don’t want a woman who flip-flops!

A woman who doesn’t flip-flop is a woman who does not respect you.

Women are not men and should not be held to the standards of men. A man who changes his views on the whims of a woman is a sissy. A woman who changes her views on the whims of a man is a woman who is in love. She should not be degraded for that because that’s what ‘keepers’ do.

10) She must look up to you and respect you.

Women marry up and men marry down, since the dawn of marriage. If she looks down on you she will leave with your money and your children. You’ve got to be a man that she can look up to, admire, love and respect – always.

11) She should not have any children from a previous affair.

In the animal kingdom when a Lion takes over a pride he kills the cubs of other Lions.

Raising someone else’s child is cuckoldry with your full knowledge and consent.

If you raise someone else’s child you will be taking care of another mans seedling and there will always be another man in the picture.

Be selfish and keep your wife and children to yourself. They should be yours and only yours. Don’t settle for another mans leavings and sloppy seconds.

Here is what women with children do: They have unprotected sex with a stud, get knocked up, and look for a sucker to raise the bastard.

or..

She has already been married, had children, and then divorced the father and left.

In each case the woman is unfit for marriage.

12) She should be a smiler.

She should smile when she sees you. Her eyes should light up. She should be excited each time she sees you and reward you with her beautiful smile.

A big, bright shining smile from a pretty girl is worth more than any university degree she has, worth more than any job she has, worth more than any other baloney modern women wrongly believe makes them attractive to men.

You want a happy woman. You don’t want a frowning, nagging, pessimistic bride.

Always pick a smiling, warm, happy-go-lucky woman to share your life with.

Things to remember:

American women have been indoctrinated since birth to believe in and embrace divorce. They have been indoctrinated and instructed to believe that their feminine instincts are wrong and bad. This causes a great deal of confusion in their minds and, to put it plainly, many of them are unfit for marriage and raising a family. Especially avoid women who use psychiatric drugs and especially avoid women who go to therapy. Therapy only makes women more insane and teaches them to blame men more for their problems.

Party girls are for fun, good girls are for marriage.

If a woman cannot or will not cook daily, how will she ever care for children? She can’t. To raise non-fat children you must marry a woman who can and will cook.

As a man your options do not dwindle as you age. Your options only increase with your age and wealth. Conversely, as a woman ages her options plummet. That’s because men age gracefully, like a fine wine, and women age like milk. That’s why you must pick a beautiful young lady. It is highly advisable for a man to wait until he is a little older to get married. 30 years of age is an acceptable starting age for a man to start thinking of marriage.

Never, ever take advice from a woman on how to be attractive to women. Be nice, be yourself, be courteous, buy her gifts only works to put you in the friend zone and rightfully so because it’s pathetic behavior.

You should avoid women who have a lazy, entitled, “me-first” attitude.

Don’t let your wife have complete and utter control of the home decor. You don’t want to live in emasculation-station with throw pillows and doilies and dolls and flowers everywhere.

Men are not women and women are not men. Things that women should do do not apply to men and vice versa. Double standards exist. That’s life.

You are the leader. She is the follower. Lead her.

When she loves and respects you she will enjoy all things about you. She will not demand and nag you into changing. If you smoke a big fat cigar and your clothes smell like an ashtray she will enjoy the smell. She should want to sleep in one of your shirts because it has your smell. That’s the power you should have over your wife for her to be happy and content.

If she’s a nagger before marriage then that is a sign you need to give her her walking papers. Nothing is going to get better with marriage, it will only amplify.

Marriage should be old school traditional for it to work. Pick a non-traditional woman and have some baloney non-traditional marriage and you can expect non-traditional results: Alimony payments, child support payments and seeing your children every other weekend.

Never get married just because. Have a purpose and a reason for the things you do.

Getting married is a dangerous proposition – make sure you know how to swim before you dive in head-first.

It should be through email except if the school request that you send it through post. The chance of meeting up with the visa process before February is slim but you can work towards that cos anything is possible. The fact is, just keep on moving with the process, you will get there with time.

The school just changed their admission requirements starting from next year academic session. Congratulation to those that scale through before the new requirements. The new admission requirements states that you have to authenticate and legalize to your SSCE result from MOE and MOF, then to the embassy for verification and legalization (unlike before when you do all these after getting admission), so now it is before admission. Also, the English proficiency test required is either TOEFL or IELTS. I don't know how they use to evaluate English of SSCE and I have never had of that. May be you mail the school on such.

Thanks for your input but pls how and when can i go to the MOE for that..
My Intentions where maybe just telling them (CULS) that our schools don't offer that too and then proceed for Authentication and Legalization.
I won't advice you to do that.
Just get your SSCE result verified and authenticated at MOE and request for eligibility letter. Then proceed to Ministry of foreign affairs to authenticate your SSCE result and eligibility letter.

can any one pls explain what they mean by "Your high school does not need to provide transcript of records, but it must "provide Hourly allocation".
am totally confuse.
What they mean is for you to get your SSCE with hours of classes attended for each subject and that won't be possible except if you went to good private school like American, British, Canadian schools and whatever you can call them. My advice is for you to get eligibility letter from Ministry of Education cos they will stipulate the total numbers of hours for all the subjects classes you attended on the letter.

It's possible to change tourist /visit visa to student visa but the chance is very slim. Also, it depend on the school that can do that for you (That's if you get one) but again I repeat the chance is very slim and I won't advice such.

If you're having second thoughts, I will advice you to stay back at home. May be you invest your money in coco business than to be swearing for someone in future by chanting "those people mislead me" and "na you mislead yourself". Na only you Waka come here the thread, no be person force you.

Hi RoyalPrince
I have gone through the thread jst in a glance, anyway i fink at dis monet i really need your help.
I am a graduate of banking and finance frm one of the state Universities here in Nigeria and really need a greener pasture to work and study in Portugal...its urgent i can only afford 200k for dis migration how best do u advise i can go about it?.
Can i process a visa to work over there in Portugal then enrol for a M.sc degree program after fully settled down over there.
What advise can u give and how can u be of help from your experience?
200k bro?
Let assume you get school with tuition of €1000 (that is N220,000 depend on FX), what of flight, accommodation, and other basic needs? I do hope you can jack up your financial stability lil bit. I know of a school that does M.Sc in Portuguese Translation with reasonable and affordable tuition but the programme is for september intake only and is late now to apply. If you can wait till next year March when another application will start for september 2015 intake, then I can be of help.

Those applying to UTAD has been cleared now!
Some universities in Portugal might offer less or reasonable tuition than UTAD, please do your research on internet. Ask Google! Everyone want the OP to suggest school for him/her. Why not be first class version of yourself than been second version of someone else. I have post this earlier, please use your internet wisely.

@moneybag and helloT, You guys should not rush things as I see you do not know what you are getting yourself into yet, 2500euros for a language course and the Uni unresponsive mail reply should indicate that something is not really right(although its not all wrong).
There are many Uni's in Portugal that their studies are in english and they reply their mail within 24hours.. I have been through this route before so pls calm down and apply to somewhere communication is between Yourself and the institution. No third party either paid or free coz thats the bedrock of easing the tensions of any mistake during program application, visa/permit application, and school enrollment.
Eventhough some Portugese Uni's are jacking up their fees, so also some raise fees and communicating with them is fluid. Many will want you believe that all Uni's in Portugal will do that; the answer is not all and not most but some only. So dont be alarmed
Do the search my people, its not rocket science to see requirement and make enquiries on things you are not clear of(not something already stated on their website)
Bottomline is go to Uni that you have communication with so you do not burn your money on fees you wont even be able to explain how they came about.
Well said Ogbeni Gadafi.
Google is the strongest PR we gat for information.
