How is he doing over there, he is my Pastor in Gwagwalada-Abuja church before he was transfered to Asaba, I have come to Asaba to see him when he arrived. I hope you are enjoying him especially his fantastic singing and music ministry.

It is well

Education / Re: How Many Times Did You Take The JAMB UME? by Thesaint1(m): 8:53pm On Jun 27, 2007
I sat for jamb for once after all attempt to get a direct entry failed, I score 249 was surprised anyway, but i use it for admission am now in UNIPORT. thank God. cool

@exazzpete
you may be right in your opinion but that's fallacy of faulty generalisation. I wrote my own myself and I know a lot of friend who are in sch now who wrote their jamb themselves and had high score.

Fellow BLUES

I Just realise that no matter how some people try to denied the truth, the truth still remain the truth. CHELSEA is a Champion of Champions.

It is easier for the lesser to envy the greater and for the poor to envy the rich.  Dont mind them.  Just keep cool, our temporary slight defeat does not change who we are.  WE ARE THE CHAMPION.  BLUES FOR EVER.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Mourinho Arrested Four Days To FA Cup Final! by Thesaint1(m): 3:02pm On May 16, 2007
Well to speak the truth, Man U is not a match for Chelsea, nothwithstanding their Premiership tiltle.  Chelsea is a Champion of Champion and Mourinho the "Special one" believe it or not.   19th will prove me.  cheesy

Watch out! tongue

Education / Re: When Is ASUU Calling Off The Strike? by Thesaint1(m): 1:11pm On May 09, 2007
The situation in the nation's education sector is somehow pathetic, it is sad to know that FG couldn't find solution to this ugly menace called strike.

But i will advice that instead of staying at home get busy doing something, even if is not bringing cash, dont be idle and waiting for phcn, dont let the time be a waste but a plus in anyway. I beleive before the end of the month we are going back to school. smiley

Education / Re: Information About Uniport Ume Admission For 2005/06 by Thesaint1(m): 6:20pm On Mar 20, 2006
It is true that UNIPORT dont admit direct entry I cannot say what is the reason behind this, but what I discovered is that they have a standard Basic and Certificate Programme with which they have half of their 100 level admission.

I think UNIPOT is one of the University they admitted large number of 100 level student, and therefore there is no way they can have a place for direct entry student either to 100 or 200 level.

You know what? it a UNIQUE UNIPORT but expensive.
Education / Re: Information About Uniport Ume Admission For 2005/06 by Thesaint1(m): 4:37pm On Feb 08, 2006
Yea you are right, but what is the hope of self sponsor students. I hope being a Federal University it would be like others, very cheap compare to State University, now it's too late for me to change my mind, if not i would have change. Since I came to school all the song in the lip of students and what I am able to see for my self is expensive!

I still hope that God willl surely make a way for me. I have started registration process, it's like hell in Bank here, I tell you it is not easy.

Bye later

I thank everyone for their reply on this thread. I just got admitted to Uniport and I have made up my mind to go for it no matter what happen. I just need your prayer and encouragement.

Though success in life is not attached to Certificate, but I beleive also that neither is failure also attached to Certificate, God has a purpose for everyone created on earth. I strongly beleived that there is something for me in University Education, I may not know exactly, but I strongly have faith in it.

Thanks everyone God bless u.

Education / Information About Uniport Ume Admission For 2005/06 by Thesaint1(m): 1:13pm On Jan 03, 2006
I currently based in Abuja and applied to Uniport for Admission through UME.  I was in UNIPORT in September 2005 to write Post UME screening test, the result was released later and we heard that there was mass failure, and because of that the senate are still looking into what to do about it.

But I was surprised to hear that the 100 level student through basic and part time had finished their registration and started lecture, while no word for UME students, I called the school several time, all I was been told is that no any information concerning UME students.  am just confused now, am not in Portharcourt not even know what is going on in school now.

Can anybody in this forum with useful information concerning Uniport UME admission please tell me something? Please I will appreciate your response.

Thanks everybody for your advice, I think i can pick something. I actually apply for admission with UNIPORT I wrote the post ume test, and till now we've not heard anything abt the admission list. Some say they have cancelled it, some say by January. I just pray something work out, or anybody in the house who know latest about the admision in UNIPORT can let me know.

Life is to short for you to be pretending that your destiny is tied to a degree from just any University. What do you really love to do? Tell us and we'll have more ideas to share with you. There are so many opportunities yet to be tapped in this country of ours as long as everything remains peaceful.

Thanks seun for this piece, i think what I love to do is what I trained for, I am a trained secretary, I can type faster, operate computer and into music (though in church), and also love to talk to people, like giving advice and love to solve life problem as it happen to humans in my little way.

Do you have anything to share with me? I will really appreciate your ideas. You can even send a personal email to me on saintadeyemii@yahoo.com
Education / Re: Post-JAMB Examinations in Nigerian Universities by Thesaint1(m): 5:49pm On Dec 18, 2005
Post Jamb exam, there is nothing like it, I beleive that every body is entitle to his/her opinion.  Looking at the exam or screen test as the case may be, the prerequisite for it is Jamb exam what are we now talking about, you can write it without your original jamb slip, is not that Jamb is scrapped, in my own opinion is just a way of cross checking students in order to allow the most qualified one to be admitted to school.

I dont think writing two exams is too much for a student b4 entering university, if excellence and quality is put in mind.

ADVICE! I AM 30 YRS OLD, LOOKING FOR ADMISSION

Hi, i have this question which I want anybody to give answer to. After my secondary education some years back (1993). I was told by my father that am now on my own, since then God have being helping me. I was given a scholarship to study Secretarial Studies, in one private continuing education centre by my Pastor in my church and after completion I started working as Secretary/Computer Operator and ever since I have not get satisfaction in all my work, all my mind is in going back to school. So I later started working towards it, to get all my paper and all I could but all my effort has not yield since, by December this year am now 30 years, and I still apply for admission at UNIPORT and there is this delay about post UME jamb result, on whether to use or not. In fact I am just confused. People started telling me this is a waste of time and stupid idea since am going to leave my work and do it full time, who is going to sponsor me?

Though all this never moved me, because i believe God is still alive. But this delay in admission have been making me think otherwise may be I should just look for another better job or continuing in admission stuff, even my family were against it, they want me to get marry and settle down now.(which is not as easy as they think)

Can somebody advise me, whether to go on with my admission plan or to drop it. Every meaningful contribution will be highly appreciated.
