JACK THE RIPPER

Jack the Ripper may be a name that everyone knows, but no one can be certain of his true identity. Whoever he (or she) really was, Jack the Ripper was definitely deranged. In 1888, Jack terrorized the Whitechapel neighborhood of London by slitting the throats and abdomens of at least five prostitutes and leaving them for dead. Sometimes, he would even remove the woman’s uterus and take it as a sort of prize. It’s unlikely Jack the Ripper’s true identity will ever be figured out, but “ripperology” — the study and analysis of the murders — has certainly inspired quite a few “what if” novels and films.

There’s deranged, and then there’s the type of deranged that describes the serial killer John Wayne Gacy. He was nicknamed “Killer Clown” because of his job attending children’s birthday parties and charitable events as “Pogo the Clown.” Gacy was convicted of raping, torturing, and murdering 33 teenage boys over a six-year period. He would lure them to his home, kill them via either strangulation or asphyxiation, then bury them on his property. Gacy was executed in May 1994.


Gacy would wear fake cuffs and get him self out and give his victims real cuffs to try , of course they would be locked tight , pogo would then a t like he forgot the keys in his cars , making his victim willingly follow him to their deaths

“My Dear Mrs. Budd,

In 1894, a friend of mine shipped as a deck hand on the steamer Tacoma, Capt. John Davis. They sailed from San Francisco to Hong Kong, China. On arriving there, he and two others went ashore and got drunk. When they returned, the boat was gone.

At that time, there was a famine in China. Meat of any kind was 1-3 dollars a pound. So great was the suffering among the very poor that all children under 12 were sold for food in order to keep others from starving. A boy or girl under 14 was not safe in the street. You could go in any shop and ask for steak, chops, or stew meat. Part of the naked body of a boy or girl would be brought out and just what you wanted cut from it. A boy or girl’s behind, which is the sweetest part of the body and is sold as veal cutlets, brings the highest price.

John stayed there so long that he acquired a taste for human flesh. On his return to N.Y., he stole two boys — one 7, one 11. He took them to his home, stripped them naked, and tied them up in a closet, and then burned everything they had on. Several times every day and night he spanked them — tortured them — to make their meat good and tender.

First, he killed the 11-year-old boy, because he had the fattest ass and of course the most meat on it. Every part of his body was cooked and eaten except the head, bones, and guts. He was roasted in the oven (all of his ass), boiled, broiled, fried, and stewed. The little boy was next, and he went the same way. At that time, I was living at 409 E. 100 St. He told me so often how good human flesh was, and I made up my mind to taste it.


On June 3, 1928, I called on you at 406 W. 15 St. and brought you pot cheese and strawberries. We had lunch. Grace sat on my lap and kissed me. I made up my mind to eat her.

On the pretense of taking her to a party, you said yes, she could go. I took her to an empty house in Westchester I had already picked out. When we got there, I told her to remain outside. She picked wildflowers. I went upstairs and stripped all my clothes off. I knew if I did not I would get her blood on them.

When all was ready, I went to the window and called her. Then I hid in the closet until she was in the room. When she saw me all naked she began to cry and tried to run down the stairs. I grabbed her and she said she would tell her mamma.

First, I stripped her naked. How she did kick, bite, and scratch. I choked her to death, then cut her in small pieces so I could take the meat to my rooms, cook, and eat it. How sweet and tender her little ass was roasted in the oven. It took me 9 days to eat her entire body. I did not Bleep her, though I could have if I wished. She died a virgin.”

When a serial killer is dubbed “The Brooklyn Vampire,” “The Moon Maniac,” “The Werewolf of Wysteria,” “The Gray Man,” and “The Boogey Man,” it’s almost certain he is thoroughly deranged. Fish was tried and found guilty of raping, killing, and cannibalizing three children in the early 1900s. However, he claimed that he had murdered more like 100 children, and even boasted that he “had children in every state.” Especially deranged is the fact that Fish sent a letter to the mother of one of his victims, 10-year old Grace Budd. The letter detailed how he had lured the little girl, strangled her, and then cut her in to pieces to eat over the course of nine days.

No list of the most deranged serial killers would be complete without Jeffrey Dahmer. Dahmer, known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, was ultimately convicted of murdering 17 young men over a 14 year period. But Dahmer didn’t just murder them. He also raped, dismembered, and sometimes even ate his victims. During his trial, Dahmer admitted to drilling a hole into his victims’ heads in an attempt to turn them into mindless sex slaves. Although Dahmer certainly would have been executed for his deranged crimes, he was beaten to death in prison in 1994.

Between 1978 and 1990, the Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo sexually assaulted, murdered, and mutilated more than 50 young women and children. One of the youngest was nine years old. The deranged Chikatilo killed his victims by stabbing and slashing them with a knife. Chikatilo later admitted that he was only able to achieve orgasm by stabbing women, a fact which made it difficult for him to resist his strong urges to kill. Chikatilo was nicknamed the “Butcher of Rostov,” the “Red Ripper,” and the “Rostov Ripper.” Though he confessed to a total of 56 brutal murders, he was tried for 53, sentenced to death, and executed by firing squad in 1994.

Bundy is easily one of the most deranged serial killers (not to mention kidnappers, rapists, burglars, and necrophiles) of all time. His sick modus operandi included kidnapping his female victims, raping them, and them dismembering them. He often kept their heads as souvenirs. Before he was executed in 1989, Bundy admitted to kidnapping and murdering 30 women, though this number is almost certainly much higher.

If serial killers are some of the most deranged creatures on earth, is it possible for some serial killers to be more deranged than others? One does not "turn back". One does not abandon what one learns about an ideology just because one is learning about another. I did not believe in the existence of superbeings when I was an atheist, and now that I am studying religious texts I still don't believe superbeings exist. But as far as Nigerians are concerned, referencing a book makes one a worshipper or believer in that book it seems, hence capslocked would say buda is a "theist" without defining what he might mean, and you, being a believer, is disappointed and lost empathy and are not rejuvenated, but want to blame it on me, lol.

I am rereading the book in order to understand it because I love reading difficult to understand books like the texts of Nigeria's main religions. I figured, since a majority of Nigerians are influenced and get their language from those books, one who wishes to positively impact Nigeria would best read them in order to understand the motivation and language of a majority of Nigerians. Also, since the books are so old and underlie quite a lot of Western and Middle Eastern and African philosophy and thought, understanding them gives one insight into the evolution of human existence in a particular part of the world and provides a model for comparison.

Wisdom" might "diminishes as you grow older" perhaps after 70 years old, least not before 60, especially if one were a learner and continued seeking wisdom. So youth has to wait until the the elders relinquish the influence they amassed in their prime when they were young say in their 40s, and held on to till they died at, say, eighty. Won't youth be hitting 50 by then, too consolidated themselves to bother to change anything? And wouldn't the elders have consolidated in place for generations after, those who would prevent the desecration of their graves forever?

One thing the wise often do is they reflect, and the experiences they have as they grow older gives them a lot to reflect on. You, hopefully, understand the relationship of the ability to reflect and being wise. Wisdom does not diminish as one grows older. Though I do admit that the elders we have do not seem wise.

I think it's the non-acknowledgement of the saying that goes, ọmọde ati agba li a fi da ile Ifẹ. Translated it means, 'Ife was built by the young and the old'. Wise people will incorporate both into their planning since they have different skill sets, but our Nigerian elders do not appear to be doing this unless it's to the youths who's souls they've bought. Not wise at all, would be my verdict of our so called elders.
