The only section with sane people on Nairaland is literature section,

Romance section is filled with mentally sick people. In a sane clime, those regular romance section users should be dumped in a psychiatric home.

Politic section? Someone who value his/her sanity shouldn't even go there for any reason.

Now lets talk about Seun's biasness in the Religion's section. I believe, Atheists and muslims should be restricted from Christianity section also.

I suggest sections like, AskNairaland, Freethinkers section etc.

if possible, scrap out romance section or place strict mods there to fish out those crazy things there.

My parent stopped using nairaland long time ago, when suen allow kids to insult people at will and tribal bigotry became the order of the day.
Some never do well individual posting pornographic content on front page and all sorts

Seun, the earlier you do something to curtail this madness the better.

Well I have got load of love from nairaland
I was even able to get back on my feet thanks to Mr bello, that man was God sent.
When I almost committed suicide, nairalanders came to my rescue some even reached out to me personally.
All in all, whatever you want from nairaland is what you will get.
I have been insulted because I warrant it, dragged because I feel I still warrant that too.
But the love have received here far supercede the hatred.
Sometimes nairaland is like the proverbial stone you throw to hit a palm-tree, it will reciprocate the gesture.
1001 likes for you. You have said my mind.

Seun this is what we have been saying since upgrade nairaland and pay for more mods to end tribalism

Nairaland has helped so many people , Nairaland is home for us all ,
I've been here since 2008 and my topic only made fp once , Suen you're a great guy , but listen , make Tribalistic Hate words stop ,

Take only important topics to fp, Stop hating on the country(yes us all)
never let nl'ders Hate on the country anymore
you heard it Nairaland is the mirror of both sides of the world ,
Improve Nairaland Seun

Remove certain Sections , add more free thinking pages to fo to enlighten the youths z , remove Religious session if possible let them find another forum for that , Trabalism is disgusting!!! Nairaland is Home, For eons we would always remember the first international Online News Forum , you're already in history dude , best off you did all this without God .

I don't have problem with what you said. But when you want them to remove religious section, you just indirectly expose your agenda.

I see your comment most atimes and i ignore it.
If seun decide to remove religious section, you will go to the education section and start telling people to leave religion.
Now if Christian decides to argue with you, you will say being an atheist is not a religion so we can educate people.

it's senseless , logically if you remove such sections , it would drastically reduce those sort of UNESSESARY hate comments , another sub religion section could be created where you have to swear , exclusively for them fine!

Do we need to bother ourselves with the thought of pro-white activists and their agenda? Lions don't consider the opinion of sheep. Reddit is not a place where black People's opinion count, so they always look negatively on any black issues. I stopped going there more than 2 years ago and I've never been happier.
At least Nairaland na we-we, so that's all that matters. Many people here have gotten jobs via Nairaland. Many businesses have increased value, money has changed hands via Nairaland and perhaps some may have even secured their life partner here. So who Reddit help? Tell me..

So, you mean all the people insulted here somehow deserved it?
And stop bringing God into this. "If God want us all to have same character, he will give us same face, mind and same way of thinking." So you re saying God created some people with bad characters and some with good characters?.
Haba, even after giving you enough reasons why things are the way it is, you still want to impose your view on hers. Com'on, we guys should try respecting each others view on every matter, that way those that left will be encouraged to come back

That's a Nigerian sub-reddit. Most of the commenters are Nigerians. Though, some in the diaspora.
just for once, try to appreciate what you have, you can't compare nairaland with reddit; our opinion dont count there. Though i'm no supporter of tribalism ,but you should acknowledge the fact that what most of the commentators want is just "likes and share" which i don't think seun pay them after getting it. Let do no comparism here everything has it own good and bad side, so we should accept that as ours; nairaland is a place to be it has help me get off depression lot of times. So seun did a great job setting this up and he earned my respect for that.

Seun.... You really need to do something 'bout the tribalism, bullying and misogynistic comments on this forum.

Nothing will and nothing should be done about it
Nigeria is tribalist sadly no one is doing anything about it I really don't know why it continued in our generation
Hopefully the upcoming ones will fix it

Nigerians are inherently tribalistic. How can he fight against the natural state of the vast majority of Nigerians? Abegi! Nairaland is what it's because it's the microcosm of how average Nigerians are.

That's not true. IPOB came about in the last five years. However, before then, Nairalanders have been tribalistic in what I'll describe as subtle tribalism esp by those who claim to be well educated. It cuts across all tribes especially the dominant tribes - Yorubas and Igbos - who are the Internet aficionados in Nigeria. I cannot recall exact usernames but there were many, way too many. Anyway, it was 2015 elections that made me realise how Nigerians are not only tribalistic but innately good at it. Nairaland represents the natural state of Nigerians for anyone who is interested in knowing more about Nigerians even without visiting the country. TwitterNG is at best the home of intellectwats.

You've said it all. The misogyny is alarming. Boys on here day and night with their "women phobia". Wonder if we're progressing or regressing in this country. Imagine the message they are sending to the lads out there.

Blacklisting people who have misogynistic thoughts from any social media medium doesn't eradicate or reduce those beliefs. Rather, it's engaging them via those channels that make them change. You blacklist them and they continue with those beliefs in real life, implying nothing has been changed. You want Nairaland to be like Twitter which has no effect on average Nigerians and cannot effect a change.
