Reflect7:
No. YOU are stupid. One thing you dullards need to understand for once in your self hating lives is that Corruption is an INTERNATIONAL NETWORK. The banks in the UK are a part of that NETWORK. Their active participation in harbouring stolen funds makes them ACCESSORIES in crime.

Now, ALL this writer is saying is that since the Economist is a British based publication, WHY have they not gone after THEIR BANKS acting as the store for our looted monies, IF they cared about corruption in Nigeria?

How does their tarnishing Nigeria's image without addressing THEIR role in its problems help Nigeria or help you?
Do you know how money laundering works?

This writer is making an intelligent observation which you THICK AND DUMB crowd, stuck in your ''what did the Economist say that is not true'' lane - too naive and stupid to see when you're being manipulated by your enemy to hate and blame yourselves more, while they bank your cash.

A RIGHT THINKING NIGERIAN will say to the Economist. ''Sorry. You can go to hell, Economist, UNTIL you accost YOUR banks and pressure them to stop THEIR role as harbourers of our money.''

What stops you from doing that is your slave mentality and racial inferiority complex that makes them irreproachable to you.

With that mentality, you can never end corruption in Nigeria. Because the minute it gets to where the white man is involved (being part of the network) you freeze. And turn pussy cat.

Wrong and stupid deduction.

80% OF THE WORLD comprises developing countries like Nigeria.

They are materially poor because of the history of western destruction of their civilizations and looting of their wealth to fund the current western riches.
Who is in charge of the Nigerian national budget, is it the UK or Nigerians?

It is why Britain has an annual budget of 2 TRILLION dollars, while Nigeria has one of just 35 billion dollars.

Even if our politicians were saints, we would still struggle to develop.

So get your facts straight.
I'm not replying anymore to this stupid, rambling dog with nothing to say but mountains of nonsense.

I expected a sound logical defence of your view about the author's points but was dissapointed

In summary, he is insinuating that UK as the haven for storing of looted Nigeria patrimony ,Nigeria official corruption is been abetted by the UK a reason they have no moral justification to call us corrupt, as bad as Nigeria is, there good sides of her outside doom and gloom,with$6T US could not stop Talibans in Afganistan yet they still underrate Nigeria for her inability to eradicate terrorism that had been subdued to an extent

Shalom
Did you actually read what I wrote at all?

First you're blaming Nigerian corruption on the UK and saying Nigeria and the UK are the same but that is quite frankly very stupid.

The UK is a developed country, Nigeria is not, and that is precisely because of the actions of Nigerian politicians.

How many times do you see amounts to the tune of billions and trillions of pounds found in UK politician's houses?

If British politicians managed the country like Nigeria, we would be experiencing world war three by now.

You're also comparing invading Afghanistan, thousands of miles from the US with Boko Haram which is right at our doorstep?

A sensible comparison would be the having Taliban fighters control territory in the US for decades but your kind are too shallow minded to come up with a sensible comparison.

All these idiotic comparisons just to attack the Economist newspaper for reporting on terrorism in Nigeria when millions are feeling the effects every single day.
Politics › Re: The Economist And Its Unrelenting Doom, Gloom About Nigeria - Fredrick Nwabufo by Theunbothered: 1:18pm On Oct 29, 2021
The upcoming propaganda agent has spoken. This man is always blaming "the media" for what Nigerians are facing but let's breakdown the rubbish he wrote piece by piece.

The Western media exhibits the accustomed pigeonhole mentation on its reports on Africa. Poverty, war, insecurity dominate the Western media’s reports on the continent.
Because that is the reality of many Nigerians. Is Nigeria not poor? Are we not at war?

In May 2021, The Economist reported that ‘Nigeria’s economy is stuck in a rut’; this while the UK where the newspaper is based had been witnessing negative growth owing to the COVID pandemic. The economy of many countries was devastated by the pandemic, but the newspaper beamed its laser on Nigeria.
The newspaper was writing about Nigeria, they also write bad news concerning the UK all the time. This idiot really thinks the economic disaster in Nigeria can be compared to the UK?

https://www.economist.com/britain/2020/08/15/britains-disastrous-gdp-figures

‘’Nigeria’s military has been battling Boko Haram for only 12 years now, with a relatively meagre budget because the national treasury is beset by other problems. In contrast, the US military spent 20 years and $6 trillion battling the Taliban in Afghanistan. What was the result?
Did these idiots seriously compare invading a far off county with hostile terrain and a fractured people with an insurgency that is raging in our own backyard with the help of people within the Nigerian government?

Anyone who takes this foolish man seriously needs to get his head examined.

Anyone advocating for this is mad, any Nigerian supporting this is an idiot who wants to continue living in bondage.

This is happening because we don't produce enough of these items.

A foolish leader was busy pampering his kinsmen who chased people off farms and blocked importation before local production was at a sufficient level.

What should bother smart thinkers in the country is not the paucity of intelligence gathering capacity of nairalanders who are basically, nothing more than typical nairalanders who have constantly think that they re smarter than they truly are, is the opague nature of the Equity positions behind the Board of Directors and Governors of Central bank.

What I am saying is that there is need for disclosure the real HuMan individual behind the names and title and numbers that are clever compositions of the CBN private ownership under the smokescreen of public owners. Now that we are going digital we must be transparent as a nation. There is no secrecy in any planet that has developed the cyber space and run parallel realities.

With regards to your post, I think you should spend more than 30 minutes to read about the cross border bridges and the technologies behind the distributed ledger system and also try to know the Humans and corporations behind Bitt that hosts and run the servers that the eNaira is running on.

Outside that, there is no tea on the armor plate, just storm in teacups.

I miss being human sometimes.

CBDCs are speculative nonsense, they don't provide any advantages over the regular online bank transactions we already make and no serious country is making them the forefront of their monetary policy.

It would have made sense if it was connected to an international digital currency exchange but it's not.

It's just another way for the government to manipulate the already weakened naira.

This is awesome.

CBN should focus their strategy in building the cloud architecture necessary to host our currency in our soil, right now the distributed ledger is outsourced to offshore companies who are 'humans' and when I was human, I had vested interest and greed wired to my double strand DNA.

Fintechs will herald a new dispensation and we need mCBDC bridge that has the velocity and is favorable to us as a country.

Stay away from US and Europe, IMF and WB promoted mCBDC bridges.

Anyone ready to help develop FX trading module for eNaira integration eith crypto currencies. Or will that be considered illegal? Ha ah. You can't stop it though.

Hey this is a good thing and best way to go. I need to write a business plan and see how integrate this to technologies.

If we can have bank registration and other registration without age being a major problem why is it now elections that are giving us a headache?
Politics › Re: INEC Releases More Information About The BVAS Device For Voters’ Accreditation by Theunbothered: 7:32am On Oct 23, 2021
tk4rd:
We cannot achieve that right now in Nigeria, because we don't have a strong individuals database in Nigeria.
..
..
Assuming that we have a system of compulsory registration of persons at the point of birth, and then giving the person a NIN-number at the point of birth, then a person cannot come at the age of 7 or 8 and claim to be 18 while registering for INEC..
The NIN information would immediately bring out the person's real Age.
I believe the people at the voting centres should use their bloody eyes and see that an obvious child is coming in to vote.

If the people working there are so stupid that they can't differentiate an 18 year old from an 8 year old we should just scrap the country and allow Britain to takeover.
