It would be suitable to buy from a vending machine when it comes down to convenience.
If someone is in the hospital for instance, and they are in quick need of a Lucozade (still for instance) would you rather leave the hospital and find the nearest kiosk, or just buy from a machine still within the building, even if both sell at the same price?

I don't know if you'd agree with me that ATMs are being treated more carefully... Yes, there are still cases of vandalism, but that's normal anywhere in the world
If Vending machines are first of all placed in well organised areas such as schools, companies, churches, etc, people will begin to get accustomed, then it flies from there
