Health / Kimberly-clark Faces $500 Mln Lawsuit Over Ebola Protection Gear by ThirdEye1: 7:49pm On Oct 31, 2014 |
Oct 30 (Reuters) - A Southern California-based law firm has sued Kimberly-Clark Corp for more than $500 million, alleging that the Kleenex tissue maker committed fraud by marketing and selling some of its surgical gowns as protection against Ebola. Law firm Eagan Avenatti said it filed a class-action lawsuit in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday, stating that Kimberly-Clark had falsely represented to health regulators and healthcare workers that its "MICROCOOL Breathable High Performance Surgical Gowns" are impermeable and provide protection against Ebola. The law firm said the gowns had failed industry tests and did not meet relevant standards for protection against Ebola, placing healthcare workers and patients at "considerable risk". "Kimberly-Clark needs to immediately recall these gowns and come clean with the FDA, CDC, healthcare professionals and the general public," lead attorney Michael Avenatti said in a statement. |

Technology Market / Online Shopping In Nigeria by ThirdEye1: 3:44pm On Jan 25, 2012 |
Several online shops have come up in Nigeria in the recent past. Truth is, they never seem to make the impact online shopping and eCommerce have made in other parts of the world. What do we think is responsible for this? Are we afraid of using our ATM cards online, are we unaware of the existence of these shops or do we just prefer to go through the hassles of shopping ourselves? What's your take? http://screeningbooth.com/forum/?action=View&nForumId=56 |

Politics / Tough Challenges For Nigeria's Leader by ThirdEye1: 6:35pm On May 29, 2007 |
Mr Obasanjo is not making it easy - he will remain head of the governing People's Democratic Party. And in his last few weeks in power, Mr Obasanjo has sold off a large number of state assets to his allies in the private sector http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6699773.stm |
Politics / Will New Leader Change Nigeria? by ThirdEye1: 6:30pm On May 29, 2007 |
Umaru Yar'Adua has been sworn in as Nigeria's new president. The inauguration of Alhaji Yar'Adua marks the first time in Nigeria's history that one civilian leader has taken over from another but the election in April was described by local and foreign observers as "not credible". What are your views on Mr Yar’Adua’s appointment? Will his leadership transform Nigeria? What challenges does the country face? Has outgoing President Olusegun Obasanjo left Nigeria a strengthened democracy? |
Politics / Yar’adua Might Even Jail Koro by ThirdEye1: 5:07pm On May 13, 2007 |
You made mention of the new law which empowers Obasanjo as the chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees to supervise the governors; a power that ordinarily belongs to the president. It won’t work, because the moment Obasanjo is out, he is out. All those laws would be changed, and Yar’Adua might even jail him. http://www.independentngonline.com/?c=185&a=25441 |

angel101, tanx for ur the encouraging word, Naija is our naija and we've got to be very positive in our minds and attitude. He Obanikoro or Onikoro will have to scale the Naija courts first and believe me if u know Naija well, who are His allies none, now that he did not get the power 4 them (LAGOS). He'll be discarded like an old cloth and flung away, he's ancient history and such should be throw away into the dustbin of history. But first he's gotta to pay for HIS PAST HAS FINALLY CATCH UP WITH HIM. Pray 4 a new Naija |

fynewaka, THERE may be no hiding place for Nigerian politicians planning to escape the long arm of the law, especially after the handover of power on May 29. America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has declared that it is ready to extradite such fleeing political office holders if asked by the Nigerian government to so do. With this development, will other countries be willing in assisting Nigeria in nailing all this old corrupt politicians? So be rest assured that Onikoro or Obanikoro has no hiding place not even in Nigeria http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/news/article01 |

Naija is a country of anything and everything goes, that was the old order, not anymore, where people like u and i and of course a whole lot of citizens who are now more enligntened, and not with the exposure of his (Obanikoro or Onikoro) dark past. Let them(PDP) pencil, biro or rubber stamp him, he still needs to go thru the senate for clearance and thatz were his past will catch up with him. |

Why is Nigeria’s President Obasanjo talking about corruption, and yet people don’t believe him? After all, he is the first President in the history of Nigeria to accuse his inspector-General of Police of corruption. Why is Segun Aina, the former managing director of Fountain Merchant Bank, living in opulence in Atlanta, Georgia and Toronto, Canada, while his friend, Tafa Balogun, is facing tons of charges of corruption? Our investigations reveal that the President’s war on corruption may be just for show. http://www.nigeriavillagesquare1.com/Articles/Sowore/2005/09/president-of-vice-war-on-corruption.html |

And as it appears, Andy Uba may not be what many believe he is. Facts about Andy Ubah show he has lived a deceptive life. In a recent write up by Paul Adeagbo of The News Magazine on Andy Ubah titled Andy Uba is perceived differently by people, it made an attempt at presenting Andy Ubah’ s professional and personal life with some warmth. However it unknowingly fails brutally in that it brought to the open the fallacies of Andy Uba, the man http://www.ocnus.net/cgi-bin/exec/view.cgi?archive=106&num=27069 |

The PDP government tried to frustrate the Tinubu administration for eight years so that the good people of Lagos State would see it as having done nothing. But this was not to be because the Federal Government met its match. The governor was able to use the little resources within his reach to transform an already dead state. The state was dead on delivery when the Tinubu government came on board in 1999. The state government has been able to change all that. He was able to make full use of his financial and managerial experience when the Federal Government tried to frustrate him. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/politics/2007/mar/23/politics-23-03-2007-001.htm |

Transport (LASTMA) agents from federal roads in the state. Even an initiative by the Lagos State government to involve private concerns including banks in beautifying some aspects of the road was frustrated by the Federal Ministry of works. In a recent interview with Sunday Sun, Ogunlewe insisted he had nothing personal against the government, maintaining that what he did as a PDP minister then was just politics. He had explained that his actions then were meant to weaken Tinubu who is seen within the PDP as the main hindrance to their desire to “capture” Lagos. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/politics/2007/apr/22/politics-22-04-2007-003.htm |
