Ivynwa: I go to Lord's chosen sometimes, they have all these "dress like this and that and archaic looking wedding dresses, no ear rings" and I don't abide by that. I dress up nicely and go there to take the words of God that are more important to me and I go my way. I don't lose part of myself to it. I refuse to be mindless and that is what we are talking about. The height of mindlessness in churches in our country is alarming. It is spoiling things in families, we see threads and news of fathers rejecting children or brutalizing them because they was told in church that the child is a witch and all other kinds of nonsense things (malice, finger pointing and accusations) in the families people are made to do because a pastor said so.
The followers of Reverend king were so mindless as to be bowing down, prostrating before him, believing every trash he feeds them to the point that they watched him set them on fire!
I think i like this, i'm not gonna ask you which church you attend.
Trust me that's not going to help anybody,if christainity as most people profess were to be only true religion, i wonder which one is the true religion inside christianity itself,
RELIGION ITSELF IS a belief and worship by some group of people
from this definition you could name thousands of religion in christianity.

NOW SOMEONE HERE MAY SUGGEST ONLY ONE CHURCH BUT I'M SURE THEY HAVE TRIED THAT BEFORE WITH THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IT DIDN'T WORK

iv4fb: @sheggun, their dressings were totally bad but only from their doctrines point of view.

If you're a member of a team that agree not to do a certain thing, if you do it, you're as guilty as hell, coz you have 'sinned'

Fya, sin is breaking the law and the law here was their doctrine- let's not hold brief for no one trying to justify anybody's actions
wearing gown/not is never part of the DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY doctrine

THIS IS THE 22 DOCTRINE(THE FULL ORBED TRUTH) AS STATED BY THE BIBLE FOLLOWED IN DL
1.HOLY BIBLE
2.THE GOD HEAD
3.THE VIRGIN BIRTH
4.TOTAL DEPRAVITY, SINFULNESS AND GUILT OF ALL MEN SIN, THE FALL
5.THE REPENTANCE
6.THE RESTITUTION
7.THE JUSTIFICATION(OR REGENERATION)
8.THE WATER BAPTISM

i guess its more of a rule(spoken/unspoken)

I once heard a guy talked about a monkey modulo, i'm sorry but i can't really go deeply into the story now, but it's about sampling of some monkeys, the basis of this experiment is to explain the concept of UNSPOKEN RULES

most of you may know what an unspoken rule is about.

Christainity like any other religion(organized religion or not) no matter the denomination is an example of a CULT
/ a PRISON(you are welcome to criticize me), it is structured in a way such that you are made to abide by the abide by some rules. WHAT AM SAYING IS THAT THEY MAKE YOU ABIDE BY RULES WETHER STATE(church rules) OR FEDERAL LAWS(God's law)

CHRISTIANITY AS AN EXAMPLE
two description are often use for christian 1.SHEEP, 2.SOLDIER OF CHRIST

SHEEP
GOD-------own the flock
JESUS-----the son of the owner & the COO(chief operating officer)
PASTORS----Either chosen or theY chose themselves, they are the "OLUSO AGUNTAN"

if the bible has used another animal other than sheep maybe christianity as @frosbel and @flourish as describe would have suit their description, if christians were sheeps then you know.(ONLY GOATS BREAK RANKS)

JUST BECAUSE THE OWNER OF THE FLOCK SAID THE SHEEP MUST DRINK WATER TO SURVIVE DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE PASTOR WOULDN'T CHOOSE FROM WELL WHICH HE WANTS HIS SHEEP TO DRINK(IT MAY BE HIS OPINION OR PERSONAL REASON)

SOLDIERS

i know i don't really need to highlight some point here cos we all know how a military organization operate
GOD is the institution, JESUS is the commanding officer, PASTORS are the generalS in each camp, and then their are units...
JUST BECAUSE IT IS NOT A SIN TO CHEW GUM DOESN'T MEAN SOME GENERAL WON'T FORBID OR EVEN PUNISH SOLDIER FOR IT IN THEIR CAMP

LIKE THIS MEDIEVAL CATHOLIC QUOTE "TO SIN AGAINST THE CHURCH IS TO SIN AGAINST GOD"
it's funny, right?? oh hell! yeah it is.......sheeps don't question, good soldiers don't break ranks

frosbel: Breaking the LAW of a MAN Made denomination is not breaking the LAW of GOD.

They did not SIN , period !

@frosbel and @flourish what possible solution would you offer for an institution that is programmed that wayhuh??

1. would you be rebellious, then go an form your own(which is y we have so many churches) and also you become another commander
2 OR choose not to attend any church, cos if you are there you must abide, and if you acn't i don't know y you are there

If you don't forgive people who offend you, GOD WILL NOT forgive you.
Really??

How do you pardon someone who doesn't think he did anything wrong, or even to any length admit any wrong doing..... Even our God who is the most merciful wouldn't pardon anybody who doesn't feel he's wrong.

Yup, but how do you show a man who did wrong by pretending you didn't see what he did, the best way to show a wrong man your disapproval of his doing is to make him see he has something to loose doing it again, YES two wrong does not make a right, but he would rather give his money to people of sane minds. You guys vote for jonathan, he represents the country which means his actions speaks for Nigeria NOT just for himself

If people had gone to protest for this, or maybe workers go on strike for this, the world who have known they really disapprove of this, not just blaming a guy who sympathize for and with you.

It's his money, guys show some freaking sanity, it's Jonathan's right to promote laundering, it's GATE's right to withheld his DOE or HELP

helloooo!!!!! are you awake? yes GEJ did the wrong thing but where does two wrongs make a right?
What's worse??

SIMPLY BELIEVE THAT HE DOESN'T EXIST

Atheism to me isn't really what you profess or lip say, it's just the way you live life
Christianity EtcRe: What Do You Stand To Gain For Being An Atheist? by thoexynne: 7:31pm On Feb 20, 2013
Atheism is much in the mouth than in the heart. Deep down you still get that feeling that some supernatural being exist that create you.

I prefer to live my life like there is a God somewhere, even if there's no God, I've got nothing to loose

PoliticsBritish And Same-sex Bill by thoexynne(op): 3:55pm On Feb 17, 2013
Recently, the British government through the Culture Secretary, Maria Miller, told the members of parliament that it would be introducing a bill next year to legalise gay marriage in the country. However, she pointed out that the proposed bill would also ban the Church of England and Church of Wales from performing same-sex marriages. That is, other religious organisations and bodies who wish to do so can go on, but not these two traditional churches. The Church of England, Roman Catholic, Pentecostals, among other denominations have kicked against this proposed legislation, calling it immoral, anti-culture, anti-nature, anti-society and anti-God.

The above religious organisations are not alone in the opposition to this proposed bill. The conservatives, the Campaign for Marriage, legal experts, MPs, etc, have also kicked against it. The head of Campaign for Marriage (C4M) has accused the government of ignoring the opinions of half a million Britons and running a “sham” consultation on “gay marriage.” Colin Hart said when he presented the group’s petition, signed by over 500,000, he had been given assurances by the government that each signature would be considered officially as part of the consultation. But that didn’t happen.

He told the media that, “The decision to ignore a petition of half a million people is disgraceful and undemocratic and goes against assurances from civil servants that all submissions would be treated equally and fairly.”

The government claims that the consultation, based on 228,000 online response forms, found a majority which support the plan to redefine civil marriage. But the Telegraph, however, confirms that these numbers do not include the 500,000 who signed C4M’s petition.

Another member of the Parliament, Peter Bone, disappointedly asked the House of Commons: “How dare the secretary of state try to redefine marriage?”

Unfortunately, Prime Minister David Cameron has been a leading supporter of same-sex marriage and recently the UK government has been trying to pressurise African countries to legitimise homosexuality or have their aids from the UK cut. Thank God that most of these countries instantly resisted or rebuked them. I remember watching the Nigerian senate telling them to keep their aids, if the condition is to lure Africans into immorality and satanic practices; reaffirming that the Africans still cherish decency, morals, traditional and marriage values. I was indeed very proud to be a Nigerian that day!

But why would the Great Britain that has a common head with the influential and respectable Church of England (Anglican Church) in the British monarch, now decide to join some other European countries on this particular road to infamy and perdition?  In 2001, The Netherlands notoriously became the first country in the world to grant same-sex marriages (and remember they have this long history of struggle with lasciviousness. As far back as 1730 – 33, they experienced sodomy frenzy that resulted in the execution of about 276 men). After The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Argentina and Iceland have joined the list. And unfortunately, countries like Belgium and France are also about to be overrun by extremists.

Now, what will be the spiritual, moral and social implications of this legislation if passed in Britain? One, it will totally destroy the tradition and sanctity of the marriage institution, which the country’s laws and culture, the royal family and the Church of England have always respected, proclaimed and protected for centuries.

Besides, this proposed bill if introduced and passed by the British parliament will aggravate the already spiritual apostasy of the country. We are aware that there is spiritual decay in the present Europe. Most Europeans no longer have interest in the things of God. Places of worship are being converted to clubs, cinema, businesses, etc. And lasciviousness, crimes, violence, suicide, murder, occultism, corruption, immorality have been the resultant effect. Do you know that today, about 46 per cent of babies born in Britain are from single mothers! Now, imagine the social and spiritual implication of this.

Then, there is always a divine reaction to every attempt to deride or disobey Gods’ commandments. Sexual immorality, which homosexuality (same-sex relationship) is one of, will never fail to attract severe divine punishment. The scriptures warned severally and sternly that we must not involve in this. Individuals and nations who take these divine instructions for granted will always pay heavily for it. In fact, this particular sin was why God wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah from the face and map of the earth.

Instead of pursuing this ignoble, retrogressive, anti-social, anti-nature and anti-God legislation, one will expect the British government and other European countries to initiate programmes that will stem the growing and alarming rate of unemployment, economic recession,  crimes, suicides, murders, and other social vices.

It is imperative that the British parliaments reject and throw out this particular bill if it is eventually presented to them. The Queen, all the royal family members, the Church of England, the civil societies, the marriage and family protection organisations, religious organisations and all Britons MUST rise against this proposed ungodly bill.

And they should also ensure that those behind the satanic and shameful move and their allies are not allowed to occupy any political position in Britain in the future.
