Is Igbo really an ethnicity?

This question has been burgling the mind of many people....

○Well according to some historians ,Igbo was not strictly an ethnicity but a political creation of the year 1878 by some British explorers...

Igbo, a corrupted form of Ibo was a conglomeration of different ethnicities either franchised or forcefully...

The requirements to become igbo are as follows...

1) having just one or two similarities..

2) tying two rappers..

3) having four market days..

4) geographically living around same territory..

5) Having crude oil..

6) jealous of supernatural power,,, average Ibo man is jealous when others having supernatural powers to win wars when his own ibo cannot....he will be jealous and used social media power to grabbed such power performing ethnicity or country... This was the basic reason they claimed Israel and Ijaw that are far different from their ibo....

These are the six criteria to become igbo..

5) some few igbo youth still held that political igbo franchise believe 'so they said Ibibios, Efiks, Annangs, Urhobos, are all igbos because of few similarities...


6) the funny side.... Igbo youth still extend the political igbo franchise belief to say Israels or Israelis and Ijaws or Ijawans, rihanna and Akon are also igbos... funny... �...


What the historians told and the mindset of the average Ibo now have answered the question in your mind and my mind that 'igbo is not an ethnicity created by God almighty but a false ethnicity created by politicians in the year of 1878 with a criteria to join...

See why igbo is a man made ethnicity of 1878, unlike ethnicities like Yoruba, Ijaw, Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri, Ibibio, Urhobo, Efik, Benin, Nupe etc that were created by Jehovah God himself during creation..

Their counterparts in Oduduwa, Biafra, Middle Belt are busy crying out and doing peaceful rallies to state the positions of their areas in the Nigerian state but IYC groups are busy doing birthday felicitations in their social network groups all year round.
Not even one Ijaw Republic rally have been done by them even the elders of which are the INC have been doing different programs on Ijaw Republic even rallies but nothing we see Fron IYC.

IYC which was dead before has now been fully buried by this Timothy Peter Igbifa Administration.
He successfully turned IYC into a church of which that's an abomination to the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality.

Ijaw produce over
90 percent of all Nigeria's crude oil.
All Nigeria's offshore oil are in Ijaw Nation territories without adding the onshore oil on Ijaw land.
Because we are the ones who share borders with the Ocean.
We were unjustly balkanized into 6 States when we are fully together.
All Northern Gold are for them alone they take 97 percent of Ijaw Oil and say PIB is 3 percent.
The INC are trying to ask for Toru-Ebe State (Ijaws of Ondo, Edo, Delta). (Oil- Rivers State, Rivers Akwa-Ibom Ijaws), and the increasing of Bayelsa state LGAs.
Bayelsa state is bigger than 10 Nigerian States with over 550 villages and settlements in it with 544 under all Ijaw sociocultural organizations.

The rest 6 Isoko camps like communities are at the Bayelsa border with the Isoko of Delta.



The Nigerian system continues to reject that bill to restore ijaw to proper ways.


1.IYC have the power to see to it that all oil productions are stopped until we are returned to none balkanized.


2.IYC have the power to see to it that we get no less than 30 percent of all oil production money.


3.IYC have the power to take Ijaw Self Determination Struggles to worldwide.

4.IYC have the power to see a referendum be done by force in the Ijaw Nation on Ijaw Republic.

5.IYC have the power to see to it that Restructuring is done by force.

Today the federal government is at the mercy of Bandits and are pleading with them to have mercy on the federal government.

IYC are busy allowing useless Akpabio laugh at us by taking bribes from him and turning against the Ijaw course among other things.
See as great Ijaws like the great Tompolo Roar and even federal government ran to Gbaramatu by sending Akpabio and his group to beg for mercy.
These are just few of IYC strengths.

Ijaw Leaders Plan Secession From Nigeria, Meet British Government With Demands
This comes a few weeks after a group, the Akwa Ibom coalition, also reached out to the United Nations Organisation, saying it wants Ibom Republic and plans to secede out of Nigeria.

Elder statesmen from the South-South region Ijaw speaking people have met with representatives of the British government, in its bid to leave Nigeria and establish its own nation.

This comes a few weeks after a group, the Akwa Ibom coalition, also reached out to the United Nations Organisation, saying it wants Ibom Republic and plans to secede out of Nigeria.


SaharaReporters learnt that a delegation of the Ijaw leaders led by the President of the Ijaw National Congress, Prof Benjamin Okaba, made this known during a meeting with representatives of the British High Commission led by Mr John Kekeh, at the Ijaw House in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Okaba read out a seven-page address on behalf of the Ijaw nation to the British High Commission delegation, while lamenting that the British government deceived the Ijaw to join Nigeria but the welfare of their people had not been taken care of ever since.

The Ijaw in their summation said their people are no longer at ease with the contraption called Nigeria.

He said, “Again in the light of truth, good conscience, fairness, equity and justice, would the British people and her government be perpetually silent and feign ignorance to the excruciating plight of the Ijaw people?

“Furthermore, perhaps the once colonial masters would with all intent and purpose act to rescue the ugly situation - may we ask if not now; then when?

“We are indeed eager and anxious to know: is your intervention coming when we are completely ripped off our God given oil and gas natural resources and abandoned to our fate in a wallowing and criminally degraded environment without remediation.

“In all honesty, would that not be a crime against humanity where the British government would be seen as accomplices. The visitation is about us telling them that you (British) brought us into Nigeria and they should play their role to take us out of this country. The British have the moral duty to take us out. We were deceived to join Nigeria; they abandoned us and deceived us. Let them do the needful.

“As Ijaw people we are tired of this country. We have suffered in this country; we have carried the burden of this nation on our shoulders for too long. We have placed minimum conditions. The first condition is the restoration of true federalism. Number two, we have to be placed not as balkanised people. We cannot be scattered into different states and make us minorities and slaves. We cannot be slaves in a place where our resources are used to sustain the people. It is unacceptable.

“So the Ijaw people are saying to the Federal Government that if this minimum requirement is not met, we are no longer committed to the Nigerian project. And that if we are leaving as Ijaw republic, we shall do it peacefully and legally. This is the message we are sending to the British High Commission and to the British Government to come and undo what they did.”

SaharaReporters had on June 18 reported that an Akwa Ibom group alleged that the Nigerian state had not treated its indigenes fairly and it therefore wanted its own republic.

A member of the coalition, Offiong Offiong, in a video made at the UN headquarters after submitting its documents, had said the group would follow up on their request to ensure that the UN granted its request.
