American rapper and songwriter, Belcalis Almanzar, populary known as Cardi B, breaks a 19 year record with hit song "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)" has hit No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This makes her the second female rapper to top the Hot 100 without any other billed artists, following Lauryn Hill's first solo Hot 100 entry - "Doo Wop (That Thing) in 1998.

According to Billboard;
Cardi B is only the fifth female rapper ever to lead the Hot 100 at all. After Hill, Lil' Kim ruled for five weeks in 2001 with Christina Aguilera, Mya and P!nk on "Lady Marmalade"; Shawnna reigned as featured on Ludacris' "Stand Up," which topped the Dec. 6, 2003, chart; and Iggy Azalea's introductory Hot 100 hit, "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX, led for seven weeks in 2014.
Cardi B is also the first female soloist to top the Hot 100 with a debut track unaccompanied by another artist since Meghan Trainor, whose "All About That Bass" led for eight weeks beginning Sept. 20, 2014.
Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" dips to No. 3 on the Hot 100 after three weeks at No. 1. It keeps at No. 2 on Digital Song Sales (58,000, down 17 percent); falls 2-4 on Streaming Songs (32.7 million, down 18 percent); and is steady at No. 10 on Radio Songs (79 million, up 3 percent).

A 5-year-old boy’s parents in California are speaking out after they say their son was suspended from school for telling a teacher that he had a bomb in his backpack.

During just his third week of school, kindergartner Jackson Riley told his teacher at Great Valley Academy that he couldn't take off his backpack because there was a bomb inside and it would explode if he took the bag off.

The teacher then asked the boy if she could look inside his backpack. After Jackson said yes, the teacher opened the bag and found nothing inside.

Jackson then received a one-day suspension and had to be picked up by his dad.

The administration sent a letter home, saying Jackson violated a school code when he “intentionally engaged in harassment, threats, or intimidation.” The letter also said the rule applies to students “in any of grades 4 to 12.”

“We said, 'This doesn’t fit, and furthermore we don’t really feel like our son was threatening you,'” Jackson’s father Ian Riley said. “'He’s got an imagination. In his mind, he’s being this hero that’s preventing you from being exploded from an imaginary bomb in his backpack.'"

The administration agreed the school code didn’t fit, but the suspension remained on Jackson's school record.

School officials then sent home a second letter and said Jackson had made “terroristic threats.”

The school did not respond to the news’s request for comment about the incident.

Jackson's parents said before the incident, Great Valley Academy has been good for their family. Since then, they’ve taught Jackson to follow his teacher’s requests and to not say "bomb" at school.

However, they’re worried the suspension will have a lingering impact.

“It becomes easy to label the kid, ‘Yeah, he already made a terrorist threat. It wouldn’t shock me if he meant this in malice too,’” Jackson’s mother Michelle Riley said.

The Riley’s are asking the school to reconsider the suspension.

“We don’t want terrorist threats to be on his permanent record,” Ian Riley said. “The kid is 5.”

The Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has on Thursday September 21st, banned 19 people from all football activities for life with immediate effect for taking the FA to court contrary to Article 64 (1) and (2) of the SLFA Statutes and violation of FIFA Statutes.

The group went to court last month to seek an injunction to stop the current executive running the SLFA.

In July, FIFA postponed the SLFA congress and elections while integrity checks on candidates were carried out.

Among those banned is Sanusi Bruski Kargbo, who had declared his intention to run against Isha Johansen in the next SLFA elections.


Kallon FC team manager Amara Kamara insists he will not abide by the ruling.

“We don’t recognise the decision because the mandate of the Johansen-led executive expired last month,” Kamara told BBC Sport.

“They are being inconsistent as they said in court we’re not members of the SLFA and now they say they’ve banned us.

“This is a joke. We’re not bothered by the decision. We’re focused because we believe we’re on the right track.”

Another banned official Kasho Hollande Cole expressed similar sentiments.

“SLFA is a limited company by guarantee, [which means] they can sue or be sued,” he pointed out.

“They don’t have the mandate but even then how can you ban people without any hearing?

“Investigations have to be conducted by the disciplinary committee and people must have the right to appeal if they’re not satisfied.

“Such a decision has to be ratified by congress.”

On Thursday the country’s Anti-Corruption Commission indicted Johansen and SLFA secretary general Chris Kamara on six charges of abuse of office and public funds.

Both Johansen and Kamara have denied any wrongdoing.

The term of office of the current SLFA led by Johansen, came to an end on 3 August.

A delegation from FIFA is due in Freetown next week to try and resolve issues at the SLFA relating to integrity checks and a match-fixing inquiry.

FIFA took the decision based on recommendations by its member associations committee of which the President of the SLFA, Isha Johansen is a member.

Don Balon says, however, Ronaldo has ignored Zidane's requests that he wind back his angry reactions toward teammates.

The Portuguese will miss Real Madrid La Liga away game to inform Real Sociedad on Sunday, September 17.

Ronaldo's flailing arms and head shaking whenever a teammate fails to pass to him and loses possession is gnawing away at many inside the locker room and with Zidane.

The Frenchman spoke to the Portuguese about his actions, urging him to tone it down, but Ronaldo has refused.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar says if given the chance to rule Nigeria, he would fight corruption like never before.


Atiku Abubakar explained that his vast experiences both in the public and private sectors and his ability to build a team capable of accomplishing the task put him in the position to fight corruption better.


He made these in Jabi area of Abuja on Monday, where he also challenged those he called self-righteous political enemies to either prove his alleged corrupt activities or keep quiet.

The statement said, “He would fight corruption like never before if he is given the opportunity to preside over the affairs of the country.

“It is sickening to continue to regurgitate allegations of corruption against me by people who have failed to come forward with a single shred of evidence of my misconduct while in office.”

The Waziri of Adamawa stressed that those who lacked initiative, personal resourcefulness and ideas about wealth creation, “always assume that a man cannot build himself without stealing.”


“People who are bereft of ideas about entrepreneurial spirit always think that everyone else is a thief just like them.”

He noted that it was morally offensive for people who despise honest labour to become judges in the courts of public opinion.

Abubakar syressed that though his political adversaries have being spreading fake morality to fool Nigerians, he had not been convicted of corruption by any court both in Nigeria and abroad.

“Despite previous desperate efforts to link me with corruption, the William Jefferson trial in the United States ended in 2009 without indicting me or linking me to corrupt activities,” he said.


He recalled how he once pasted a reminder on his bed side during his training as a Customs officer that he would retire from any agency if he had not attained the headship of the place at the age of 40.

Disclosing that he was only able to attain the position of a deputy director before his exit in 1989 to chart a career in business, Abubakar insisted that he retired from the Nigeria Customs Service with a clean record.

Abubakar also dared anybody who had evidence that he stole money during his time as an officer or during his tenure as vice-president to confront him with evidence or file a petition against him.

“If Atiku is a thief merely because of his resourcefulness and successful investments, my political enemies should tell Nigerians the sources of their own stupendous wealth,” he said.


“I will shock everyone because I believe that I will fight corruption like never before.”

What is a stomach ulcer?
Stomach ulcers, which are also known as gastric ulcers, are painful sores in the stomach lining. Stomach ulcers are a type of peptic ulcer disease. Peptic ulcers are any ulcers that affect both the stomach and small intestines.

Stomach ulcers occur when the thick layer of mucus that protects your stomach from digestive juices is reduced. This allows the digestive acids to eat away at the tissues that line the stomach, causing an ulcer.

Stomach ulcers may be easily cured, but they can become severe without proper treatment.

There are three types of peptic ulcers:

gastric ulcers: ulcers that develop inside the stomach.
esophageal ulcers: ulcers that develop inside the esophagus.
duodenal ulcers: ulcers that develop in the upper section of the small intestines, called the duodenum.

About 20 million Americans develop at least one stomach ulcer during their lifetime.
Stomach ulcers affect about 4 million Americans every year.
More than 40,000 Americans have surgery because of persistent symptoms or problems from ulcers every year.

CAUSES
What causes stomach ulcers?
Stomach ulcers are almost always caused by one of the following:


an infection with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen
Rarely, a condition known as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome can cause stomach and intestinal ulcers by increasing the body’s production of acid. This syndrome is suspected to cause less than 1 percent of all peptic ulcers.


SYMPTOMS
Symptoms of stomach ulcers
A number of symptoms are associated with stomach ulcers. The severity of the symptoms depends on the severity of the ulcer.

The most common symptom is a burning sensation or pain in the middle of your abdomen between your chest and belly button. Typically, the pain will be more intense when your stomach is empty, and it can last for a few minutes to several hours.

What does a Stomach Ulcer affect?
The main thing that a stomach ulcer affects is the nerves surrounding it. The nerves become agitated and cause a great amount of pain. Stomach ulcers can cause hemorrhages from the erosion of a major blood vessel; a tear in the wall of the stomach or intestine, with resultant peritonitis; or obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract because of spasm or swelling in the area of the ulcer.

Other common signs and symptoms of ulcers include:

dull pain in the stomach
weight loss
not wanting to eat because of pain
nausea or vomiting
bloating
feeling easily full
burping or acid reflux
heartburn (burning sensation in the chest)
pain that may improve when you eat, drink, or take antacids
anemia (symptoms can include tiredness, shortness of breath, or paler skin)
dark, tarry stools
vomit that’s bloody or looks like coffee grounds
Talk to your doctor if you have any symptoms of a stomach ulcer. Even though discomfort may be mild, ulcers can worsen if they aren’t treated. Bleeding ulcers can become life-threatening.


How are stomach ulcers diagnosed?
Diagnosis and treatment will depend on your symptoms and the severity of your ulcer. To diagnose a stomach ulcer, your doctor will review your medical history along with your symptoms and any prescription or over-the-counter medications you’re taking.

To rule out H. pylori infection, a blood, stool, or breath test may be ordered. With a breath test, you’ll be instructed to drink a clear liquid and breathe into a bag, which is then sealed. If H. pylori is present, the breath sample will contain higher-than-normal levels of carbon dioxide.

Other tests and procedures used to diagnose stomach ulcers include:


Barium swallow: You drink a thick white liquid (barium) that coats your upper gastrointestinal tract and helps your doctor see your stomach and small intestine on X-rays.
Endoscopy (EGD): A thin, lighted tube is inserted through your mouth and into the stomach and the first part of the small intestine. This test is used to look for ulcers, bleeding, and any tissue that looks abnormal.
Endoscopic biopsy: A piece of stomach tissue is removed so it can be analyzed in a lab.

Is a Stomach Ulcer Serious?

Many stomach ulcers heal on their own. However, it is important to seek medical attention if you believe you have a stomach ulcer. If not properly treated, stomach ulcers can lead to serious health problems, including:


Internal bleeding
A hole through the wall of the stomach
Gastric outlet obstruction from swelling or scarring that blocks the passageway leading from the stomach to the small intestine.

The England international, who spent six years at the Emirates, has penned a long-term contract at Anfield.

An explosion hit a bank in the Afghan capital on Tuesday, close to the heavily protected U.S. embassy compound, killing at least one person, officials said.

Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said the blast hit the entrance to a Kabul Bank branch.

The public health ministry said one person had been killed and eight wounded.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast, which came as banks are busy with people withdrawing money ahead of the Muslim Eid holiday at the end of the week.

With her eyes wide open, a 32 year old housewife Omotola Akerele seeking spiritual help watched her five year old marriage end abruptly, no thanks to an abortion for a “man of God” who took advantage of her during her trying period.

Findings showed that the “man of God” Matthew Olakunle had also taken advantage of her junior sister Tope and their 60 year old mother, Janet under the pretext of spiritual deliverances. Olakunle confessed to having sexual intercourse with Tope twice and prayed for their mother twice nakedly.

The suspected Pastor rapists in Ondo He also shaved Tope’s pubic and armpit hair before having sexual intercourse with her. All these were to deliver the family members from one spiritual attack or the other.

Their 60-year old grandmother who introduced her daughters to the pastor said that she started attending the church five years ago denied any sexual intercourse with the pastor but confirmed that her pastor always prayed for women seeking spiritual help in the nude.

However, Omotola also walked into the trap of Pastor Olakunle, the then head of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Itura in Iju town, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State who said he had a solution to her “ spiritual attack”.

Omotola had confided in her mother that she was battling with an acute cough which had defied solution after several medications for over a year. Findings showed that when she coughs she equally urinates on her body.

Olakunle not only took advantage of her condition but impregnated her and in her bid to conceal the pregnancy from her husband, Elijah Oluwaseun she decided to abort the pregnancy.

The mother, a staunch member of the church introduced Omotola to her pastor who after listening to her story concluded that her matter was a spiritual attack that needed special deliverance which will last for a minimum of one week in the mission house at Ejigbo area of lju. But the husband, according to findings got wind of what happened between his wife and her pastor and that she had taken in for him and had subsequently terminated the pregnancy.

Findings showed that Oluwaseun confronted his wife with the facts and she reportedly confessed to what happened between her and the pastor and she was sacked from her matrimonial home.

The “man of God” prefers spiritual seekers visiting him to be stark naked during deliverance period said “ God answers prayers faster when those afflicted are completely naked before him.” The victim while narrating her ordeal in the hands of the pastor on a live programme on Adaba FM in Akure, the Ondo State capital said the pastor instructed her to remove all her clothes including underwear before each of the prayer sessions which lasted seven days both day and night.

She said the pastor’s wife was away in Ajowa Akoko area of the state during her deliverance days in the pastor’s two-room apartment. Omotola said on the radio programme that on the last day of the deliverance session the pastor pushed her to the bed, mounted her and had sexual intercourse with her.

The pastor, according to her, said the sexual contact will exorcise the “evil spirits” dwelling inside her body and the cough and incessant urinating at the same time would cease forthwith. She pointed out that a month after the sexual romp she got pregnant but later aborted it with N5000 because of the attendant shame it would bring to her if the truth comes out and she could not transfer its paternity to her husband.

She said she came to the radio station to expose the pastor because he was responsible for the break-up of her marriage and more importantly to prevent other spiritual seekers from falling prey to the antics of the fake pastor. According to her “ I had severe cough and my mother took me to Pastor Olakunle Mathew for prayer in Iju.

After praying for me he said I needed a shaving stick and a handkerchief to perform the spiritual exercise which I took to him. “The pastor told me that he wanted to use my hair to perform some spiritual work that would solve my spiritual problem.

On the night of that first day we got there, he asked me to put off my clothes in the presence of my mother to pray for me in the mission house. “Since that day, he has been asking me to come for deliverance and when I got there he would ask me to remove my clothes and lie on the bed. He would lie on me nakedly and be praying for me.

“On the seventh day, he shaved the hair of my private part and my armpit hair and put the hair in the white handkerchief. After that, we had sexual intercourse and after the intercourse he asked my to go and bury the hair in the handkerchief behind the mission house.”

Also speaking on the programme, the pastor confirmed praying for the women of the church in the nude. He said he had put in over 15 years in the pastoral work in the church and had served in many branches of the church across the country.

Olakunle said that he was able to cure Omotola of the attack after the one week deliverance session.

Sickle cell disease is an inherited disorder that causes the red blood cells to be abnormally shaped and get stuck inside the blood vessels, making it hard to deliver oxygen throughout the body. This causes intense pain and can lead to infection and severe complications like organ damage and stroke.

Here are five things leading physicians in the field say you should know about the disease.


1. Sickle cell disease is the most common genetic disorder in the United States. About 100,000 Americans are thought to be living with sickle cell disease, and every year another 1,000 babies are born with the disease. “That compares to about 50,000 people living with cystic fibrosis,” says Dr. Clinton H. Joiner, director of the division of hematology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. “It’s much more common than people realize.” Worldwide it is thought to affect more than 500,000 babies a year.

2. People are born with sickle cell disease; it does not develop in adulthood, and it is not contagious. Sickle cell disease is a genetic disorder that is passed down from parent to child. To have the disease, both sets of parents must carry what is known as the sickle cell trait. If both parents have this trait, there is a 25 percent chance that their child will have sickle cell disease. In the United States, as many as two million people carry this trait.

3. Sickle cell disease is chronic but treatable and is not a death sentence. Twenty years ago, children with sickle cell disease rarely lived to become adults. Today, the outlook for patients with the disease has improved significantly. Thanks to new treatments and therapies, many people with the disease are now living into their 40s and 50s. Even though sickle cell disease is a very debilitating chronic illness, “people can lead very productive lives with the disease,” says Dr. Lanetta Jordan, chief medical officer for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.

4. Sickle cell disease affects people of many different races. Sickle cell disease is often thought of as a disease affecting blacks, and a majority of patients — researchers estimate 60 to 80 percent — are African-American, but other races are affected. People of Indian, Middle Eastern, Hispanic and Mediterranean heritage are also commonly affected. “People are often surprised to learn that this is not an African-American disease,” says Dr. Jordan.

5. Patients with sickle cell disease require comprehensive care. Since sickle cell disease is a chronic illness that affects many systems in the body, it is essential that children and adults have a system of care that includes primary care physicians, hematologists, pediatricians and social workers. “A lot of day-to-day care can be done by a generalist,” says Dr. George Buchanan, professor of pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. “But it is important to have a team of experts who work together and are in ongoing consultation with a large institution or center that specializes in sickle cell disease.”

Police hunting the van driver behind the Barcelona terror attack say they have shot dead a suspect wearing what appeared to be a suicide belt.

Local media said the dead man was Younes Abouyaaqoub, the 22-year-old Moroccan wanted for the Las Ramblas outrage.

He was cornered in Subirats, about 30 miles west of Barcelona, on Monday.
Thirteen people were killed in the attack in Barcelona on Thursday, including seven-year-old British boy Julian Cadman.

Joaquim Forn, head of home affairs in Catalonia’s regional government, said earlier on Monday that ‘everything indicates’ Abouyaaqoub was behind the wheel.

Police have revealed that he stole a car and killed its owner as he made his getaway after fleeing the carnage in Las Ramblas on foot.

He had been the only at-large member of the 12-strong terror cell behind the attacks in Barcelona on Thursday and in the seaside town of Cambrils early on Friday.

One person was killed in the Cambrils attack, in which terrorists wearing fake suicide belts drove an Audi A3 into pedestrians.

All five were shot by police, with four dying at the scene and the fifth later from his injuries.
The death toll from the attacks rose to 15 on Monday when police revealed that the fugitive stole a car and killed its owner as he made his getaway from the Barcelona attack scene.

North Korea's leader has delayed a decision on firing missiles towards Guam while he watches US actions a little longer, the North's state media said on Tuesday, as South Korea's President said Seoul would seek to prevent war by all means.

The United States and South Korea have prepared for more joint military drills, which has infuriated the North, and experts warned Pyongyang could still go ahead with a provocative plan.

In his first public appearance in about two weeks, Kim inspected the command of the North's army on Monday, examining a plan to fire four missiles aimed at landing near the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam, the official KCNA news agency reported.

"He said that if the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity, testing the self-restraint of the DPRK, the latter will make an important decision as it already declared," KCNA said.


The DPRK stands for North Korea's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

In photos released with the KCNA report, Kim was seen holding a baton and pointing at a map showing a flight path for the missiles appearing to start from North Korea's east coast, flying over Japan toward Guam.

North Korea has often threatened to attack the United States and its bases and released similar photos in the past but never followed through.

Pyongyang's latest threat prompted a surge in tensions in the region last week, with U.S. President Donald Trump saying the U.S. military was "locked and loaded" if North Korea acted unwisely.

But U.S. officials have taken a gentler tone in recent days.

Asked by reporters on Tuesday about the North Korean delay, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said it was up to Kim to decide if he wants to talk to the United States.

“We continue to be interested in finding a way to get to dialogue but that’s up to him,” Tillerson told reporters.

State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said North Korea's decision to hold off was not enough and Pyongyang would have to show it was "intent on denuclearizing the Korean peninsula."
