Education5 Most Dangerous Snakes In The World.[pic] by thonyrule(op): 6:06pm On Feb 24, 2017
While many people love snakes and even keep them as pets, others are flat-out terrified of them. Here are the 5 most dangerous snakes in the world.
1. Belcher’s Sea Snake
https://www.curiosityaroused.com/wp-content/uploads/belcher-sea-snake.jpg
These slender, striped snakes may be familiar to you, perhaps even from personal experience. Sea snakes are typically pretty passive and won’t harm you unless they feel threatened. A threatened sea snake may bite you, releasing its venom. Only about a quarter of sea snake bites contain venom, but the sea snake is the most venomous snake on the planet. A few milligrams of Belcher’s Sea Snake venom is enough to kill a thousand people, making the sea snake the most dangerous snake in the world in terms of venomousness—even though it is typically harmless.

2. Rattlesnake
https://www.curiosityaroused.com/wp-content/uploads/rattlesnake.jpg
The rattlesnake is one of the most recognizable snakes in the Americas. It’s hard to miss the rattle at the end of the tail which gives this snake its name. The rattlesnake is actually a type of viper, and is quite venomous. The most dangerous snakes in this species are the young Eastern Diamondbacks. When treated promptly, fewer than 4% of rattlesnake bites are fatal, but when left untreated, all bites are potentially lethal. Rattlesnake venom can damage organs and prevent blood from clotting, leading to paralysis, breathing problems and massive bleeding. Losing a limb is not uncommon.

3. Death Adder
https://www.curiosityaroused.com/wp-content/uploads/death-adder.jpg
Everyone knows the story about how Cleopatra killed herself with the aid of an adder. This type of adder is found in Australia and New Guinea and looks a lot like a viper. Death adders are so dangerous that they hunt down other snakes, hiding in wait before leaping out and attacking their prey. Venom from a death adder will cause paralysis, respiratory failure, and death within just six hours. Around half of all untreated patients will die from Death Adder bites. With prompt treatment however, death is unlikely.

4. Inland Taipan
https://www.curiosityaroused.com/wp-content/uploads/inland-taipan.jpg
The venom from a single bite of an Inland Taipan can kill as many as 100 people. That may seem like nothing compared to the Belcher’s Sea Snake, but it’s still pretty impressive! While the rattlesnake is the most dangerous snake in the Americas, this snake is ten times more venomous. It is fairly passive however and keeps to itself; encounters with the Inland Taipan are relatively rare.

5. Eastern Brown Snake
https://www.curiosityaroused.com/wp-content/uploads/eastern-brown-snake-.jpg
The Eastern Brown Snake is not only very venomous, but also very aggressive, which makes it one of the most dangerous snakes in the world. This snake is native to Australia, and will often make its home in populous locations. Furthermore, it will actually chase down a person it perceives as a threat. It prefers not to bite, but will do so repeatedly if it decides to attack. Less than half of the bites are poisonous, but they do contain neurotoxins which cause paralysis and can be lethal.

Starting a life in abroad can be hard and takes more time you could ever imagine.... Don't really know about other countries but there are lots of Nigerian men and youths here in Germany without a home not to talk of a job, many would have returned but won't because of the fear of being tagged a failure.

Boss start up a business in Nigerian and spend wisely.

EducationTop 5 Most Brutal And Ruthless Dictators In Africa [PICS] by thonyrule(op): 2:16pm On Feb 18, 2017
The regime of most of these African dictators was marked by horror, terror, chaos and bloodshed. Some of these dictators were notorious leaders, and some have led their country towards economic prosperity while others started on the right path and lost their way.

5. Omar Al-Bashir (Sudan: 1989-Present)
https://www.africanvault.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Omar_al-Bashir.jpg
Sudanese President, Omar al-Bashir has been the leader of Sudan since 1989 when he took power in a military coup. Al-Bashir is one of the most brutal dictators in Africa and despite ICC’s warrant against him; he remains the president of Sudan.

Years in power: 26 years +

LOWS: The International Criminal Court wants Omar al-Bashir for genocide, war crimes, murder, rape, torture, and other crimes against humanity for his crimes in Darfur.

4. Sekou Toure (Guinea: 1958-1984)
https://www.africanvault.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/sekou_Toure.jpg
Ahmed Sékou Touré was elected as the first President of Guinea in 1958, a position he held until to his death in 1984. Toure like many other dictators in Africa, survived several assignation attempts and coups while he was in power, he died of heart failure in 1984.

Years in power: 26 years

LOWS: Toure banned all opposition parties and declared his party the only legal party in the country. Toure ruled Guinea as a ruthless dictator with no tolerance for opposition. He was accused of several cases of human right abuse and extrajudicial killings.

3. General Sani Abacha (Nigeria: 1993-1998)
https://www.africanvault.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Sani_Abacha.jpg
Sani Abacha became the head of state of Nigeria in 1993 after he sacked the interim president appointed after the annulment of the 1993 elections. The exact details of the dictator’s death in the presidential palace in 1998 remains unclear, but it was met by wide celebration and soon after Nigeria returned to a democratic path.

Years in power: 5 years

HIGHS: Abacha’s regime was a massive economic success for Nigeria. Foreign exchange reserves rose from $494 million in 1993 to $9.6 billion by the middle of 1997. External debt was reduced from $36 billion in 1993 to $27 billion by 1997; inflation rate went down from the 54% he inherited to 8.5% between 1993 and 1998, and global oil price was priced at an average of $15 per barrel.’

LOWS: General Sani Abacha’s regime was characterized by massive looting and human right abuses such as the public hanging of political activist Ken Saro-Wiwa and jailing several political opponents.

2. Colonel Muammar Gaddafi (Libya: 1969-2011)
https://www.africanvault.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Muammar_al-Gaddafi_at_the_AU_summit.jpg
Gaddafi seized power in a bloodless military coup in 1969. The charismatic leader of Libya and one of the greatest dictators in African history met his end during the Libyan revolution in 2011 after rebels in Sirte, his city of birth, killed him.

Years in power: 42 years

HIGHS: Under Gaddafi, Libya became the first developing country to own a majority share of the revenues from its oil production. Gaddafi provided access to free health care, safe houses, food and clean drinking water, free education to university level which led to the dramatic rise in literacy rates

LOWS: He led oil-rich Libya as an absolute dictator, for close to 42 years, he quashed anyone that opposed him, and was responsible for the death of thousands of his people.

1. Idi Amin Dada (Uganda: 1971-1979)
https://www.africanvault.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/idi-amin.jpg
Idi Amin seized power in the military coup of January 1971, sacking Milton Obote. Idi Amin fled Uganda in the heat of the Uganda-Tanzania war and went into exile in Libya and then Saudi Arabia where he lived until his death on 16 August 2003.

Years in power: 8 years

LOWS: Amin’s rule was characterized by rumors of cannibalism, frightening human rights abuses, political repression, several extrajudicial killings, corruption, and gross economic mismanagement. International observers and human rights groups estimate the death toll of his regime to be around 500,000.

Africa has come a long way, and it continues to overcome setbacks and rewrite its history. These dictators represent the worst moments in post-colonial African history.
