This phone is da bomb. The display is great. I remembered when my sis bought Tecno spark 2 then, I was hyping the display and all sort until I saw Xiaomi products. Really enjoying this phone.. Nice one from Xiaomi.

Their phones can be cheap. But compromise on display and quality most times. Poor display on some of their flagship phones I've seen in the past.

I think you should opt for Nokia or Samsung, Sony etc. At the worst do Tecno or Infinix just to be safe.

Save yourself. Go for fairly used xiaomi like you suggested. Better still, buy Redmi 4A instead of Spark.

I was already settling on Tecno Spark 2 until I realized that it has no 4G..
