Birth story of my twins

On 12th oct, i went for regular antinatals.On seeing the gynecologist,i expressed my concerns about how tired i was with the pregnancy and how i want it over with( they were use to my usual rant) that was 38wks 3days.

I had initially told them that my two previous kids were born at 41wks and that i was worried my twins would get to 40weeks at least.

On the 12th being monday,i went for my regular antinatal and i insist that i should be checked....gynecologist declined that he will only check me at my next visit which would have been 39weeks 3days.

I have had two kids before now.However,i do not know what labor is all about.My worries were that i might fall into labor at home unknown to me since i have never had labor pain before.(i usually dilate without pain or cramp)

Finally,gynecologist decided to check me after i narrated my two previous stories to him.On checking me,i was already 5cm dilated.I was admitted immediately.
Dh had to take our kids back home (they came with us to the hospital).Dh couldn’t make it back on time due to traffic and i refused to go to labor ward for doc to rupture my membrane (i told them i needed to wait for him.(He missed the birth of the first two due to the nature of his job.i didnt want him to miss this one).At about 8pm,he got to the hospital,we went to the labor ward together and i was already 8cm.The 3 doctors attending to me were beyond surprised as they couldn’t believe someone can be 8cm without pain.

My membrane was ruptured and contraction became strong and almost unbearable.I held Dh hands tight whenever the contractions starts....at a point,i had to hold the bed as i didn’t want to break his bones
I continued with my confession (i will contract and dilate without pain)and continued speaking in tongues.
30min later,i asked Dh to go get the doctor as we were using a private labor ward and they all seems far away.On getting to me,i asked the doctor that i have urge to push and he insisted i shouldn’t.I asked him to then check me which he declined that the gynecologist gave him instruction to check me by 11pm.I had to narrate my story to him that i am not like order people and that he shouldn’t use general knowledge to handle my case.I told him my labor are usually very short.
He insisted on not checking me until Dh told him he has to check me as i am saying the truth.He reluctantly checked me and said i am fully dilated but it has to thin out before i can push.He said i should wait for another 20min.3min later,i told the nurse stationed at my bedside to call the doctor as i can’t hold the urge to push....before she stood up,my baby head was out...the next push,the whole body flew out and almost falling down....everyone had to struggle to hold twin 1.

Twin 2 was breech so they had to manually turn my stomach to turn twin 2 to cephalic position.Contraction started back immediately and after a min or two,twin 2 came out.

They were 11min apart.One of the doctors looked at me and said « i have never taken an easy delivery like this in all my years of practice « .

I was cleaned up and taken to my room to bath and rest(no tear or episiotomy)
Twin 1 a boy weigh 2.96
Twin 2 a girl weigh 2.44

May those still waiting have a sweet and easy delivery.

Keep praying and confessing what you want daily...God will bring into manifestation our strong desires.

I am feeling good this pregnancy is really similar to my first no pregnancy sickness or cravings , I just eat little and take my prenatal. however when I sleep on my side I feel pains in my hip bones which makes my sleep short and I have to turn regularly to the other side

Happy new month and welcome to the month of October filled with triumphant victories and open doors. Teamies how are we doing? How's waddling with d big belle? We don enter third trimister like this ooo God we thank you. It is not easy at all oo.

Hope we have started shopping oo especially buying our hospital list items.. I have started cleaning my nipples... U too can start to keep d breast ready for our baby's arrival. Hope we dey collect d kpekus offering as our strength can carry us.. No dulling oo.

Baby kicks are so much these days oo hope am not d only one that don't sleep well at night due to baby kicks and movements once daybreaks my baby will just relax like nothing happened.

If you never register for antenatal this is d time to do that so you will be checked and monitored oo we want healthy babies ooo... We need to be taking our drugs regularly no skipping ooo, drink enough water and eat fruits and vegetables for your blood levels. Hope those of us that has registered are keeping up with our appointments...

Let's drop our EDD and baby gender if u have checked so i will update.....

midwife or a doctor, please reconfirm.from.your doctor I was given amoxicillin also in my prior pregnancy but that was as a result of myoma pains. I think a vagina swab should be done before they give drugs

Hello mamas I went to complain about offensive odor and they prescribed amoxicillin and flagyl to me I shared with a friend and she said I shouldn’t use it please help me Chook mouth o the midwife at my ANC prescribed it

Hope those of us that has registered are keeping up with our appointments...

After clocking 40 weeks and 5 days on the 17th of August, I went to the hospital same day which was also my antenatal day, with my box..lol..
I was ready to be induced, I was induced with my first child as well, didn't fall into labour then too.

My gynae was reluctant to admit me, he wanted me to still wait for like 3 days, but I insisted cos I was so tired and maternity leave was already counting.. After much deliberations , he eventually agreed to admit me. He stated the induction will start by 2am. Entered my room at about 4pm..was actually becoming nervous cos I didn't know their induction style in the hospital (didn't use it the first time).
After plenty thinking and prayer, i slept off around 12 am, and at about 2am sharp, the team of inductors knocked on my door and I was legit shivering. I was taken to a general ward where the procedure would be done..they started around 2.30.
1. I was given Castor oil mixed with milk.
2. Buscopan injection
3. A tablet was inserted in my anus.
4. Another tablet in my vagina.
People of God, started feeling the effect around 3am and the labour progressed as I kept dilating..till I reached 8cm and the pain became unbearable..at a point, I removed all my clothes.. And was scratching the wall like a mad woman.. My bumbum was hot.. But the nurses and midwife were god sent..they kept rubbing my back and holding my hand..it got to a point I couldn't walk again..they quickly 'towed' me into the delivery room.

The real show

Immediately i laid down and hung my legs, I started feeling like baby's head was coming with a strong urge to push. They kept checking and telling me not to push yet..I was combining pain with holding urge to push..chai!
After like another 5 mins I was screaming and begging them to let me push, so when they checked again, I was fully dilated and asked to push, after my first attempt, they found out my babys head was big so they cut me(very sharp pain), and the baby came out at exactly 7.30am.
Plus placenta after 2mins..
I was stitched afterwards..very painful as the anesthesia didn't work at all..felt the neddle going in and out of my vagina flesh(crazy pain).
It wasn't easy but worth it.
Baby girl weighed 3.7KG..born on the 18th of August. at 7.30 am.
Safe delivery to all the mothers in waiting.

A pregnant woman does not selfmedicate because what I take can be accepted by my own body and rejected by the other

But to be on the safer side she can take paracetamol and vitamin c

Team December mine is going on smoothly I have completed my 5 doses TT injection after my 1st pregnancy in 2017 so I am good.

Don't know baby gender yet

On the other hand my energy level is high now ooo I dey rock this pregnancy no be small oo am drinking enough water now but I still eat a little.. If I try to eat big next thing na vomit oo. My bump is showing very well now . Time to take our first TT injection if u have not taken d shot inform ur doctor on ur next appointment.
