A few issues i suspect.

Fuel Consumption. Burnt 65 litres for about 133 Miles (Assuming the Odometer reads in miles). Although i noticed low tyre pressure today and pumped all 4. Gonna fill the tank once more and note the milage.

was told yesterday that the catalytic converter is missing. What are the implications? any on fuel consumption?

Any good mechanic or auto shop that is affordable that can help with servicing and maintenance?

Are there things in the car i need to pay particular attention to?

The accord 08 and upwards remains ur best choice.... For overall performance and astestics, the Honda accord remains the leader in its class.

As to the leg issues, I believe that challenge ceased to exist from the 07 and upward. The beauty about it is you can a get good Nigerian use within your budget, I have seen some fine ones advertised by the likes of jaxxy, theo07 and one other guy who has his show room along ikorodu rd close to stadium (I have forgotten his moniker, he deals on watches too. his moniker is S something).

If you can deal, I would advice you go for the V6 and I promise you would never look the way of an I4 again.

OP buying a car depends on what you take as a priority. Fuel economy, re sale value, performance, beauty for example. You will rarely get all this in one package. Life is hard like that.

I have a feeling you want performance and reliabilty. I will tell u my suggestion at the end.

Without asking, the most reliable car you can buy in Nigeria today and even before is a Corolla. But you don't want a corolla for your reasons. You quickly dismissed it as a bankers car. Ok.
Next is the Camry. These are reliable and have good resale qualities. They resell fast and for a good price. They are common cars we see everywhere.
If you want a little more luxury. Go for Honda, the accord are notorious for leg issues but a good one will serve you well. Otherwise go for a Civic, they are simple, beautiful reliable cars. Re sale is good but not as quick as the toyotas.
Now to heat things up a little. See how your options are getting fewer. Do you want a mercedes: performance: check, luxury and technology: check, reliability and available mechanics: Mmmmh, re sale value: i'll talk to you later.
These are the cars people use in our country. Of course you may have other plans. You may may want to consider for example a kia cerato etc, a hyundai, volks, audi, bimmer, even a chevrolet or ford. Life is all about choices.

But my suggestion is: and you will find many good ones for the amount you offer. Final answer: Lexus.

I like Camry, and i feel this is what i am going to settle with eventually, but the interior of Camry mahn....

Honda Accord. The 09 upwards. Beautiful car. Lovely...especially the black leather. There is something about the seat and the dash board that makes it unique amongst cars within that range. And i have seen some Nigerian used ones within my budget range. My issues with Honda? Past Experience. How do i know one that won't give me leg or gear issues?

Haven't seen a mercedes with that range yet.

Haven't seen a good lexus within that range too.

And actually, I don't mind people posting cars here. Makes the looking through tons of website easier.

I have a blinking D4 - Honda Accord 2002 V6 - Now Drive the car like a manual transmission car..Stick has to be on 1 or 2 before it can move. D3 and D4 now accelerates...if i slow down, i have to take it back to 2 so it can pick well.

Apart from Changing the Gear, is there any other solution? Servicing etc? and where can i make the repairs?

I have not done business with you before, so i do not know what i should have done initially or not do.

after series of mails and calculations with etisalat....this is their hypothesis 'Please contact the Parent SIM user who allocated data to you; please note that the Parent user still have access to data allocated to Child lines'

They claim you have access to the data and could have used it. They need to check your own data usage to run some investigations. To do that, you are to please send a mail to them on this issue with the necessary identification and details.

My issue is not getting to the root of this....it is getting my data back and using it to the last MB without it dissappearing.

Firstly, @ Paykobo, we don't play the blame game, we accept absolute responsibility. Etisalat is a company created by humans, and so is Paykobo, and as such we expect as with everything human, some certain level of errors.

1. 100% of Complaints done so far on this thread is on Etisalat Network. Not Glo. Not MTN. Which we also serve..

2. There are 2 possibilities when you get assigned data from us on Etisalat.

a. You Exhaust it.
b. We remove you.

A. When you exhaust it. It shows you have 0MB, and still shows you the sponsor wallet. (As shown in the attached)
B. When we remove you, you'll not see us on your list anymore. You'll see something like: Dear Customer you have used up your data balance.. (As shown in your attachment 2)

But in this case ONLY your sponsor wallet is shown, yet your own account doesn't show. This is a technical error, in my honest opinion. ( Probably as a result of the recent upgrade in their system)

If you had called us, email us, sms us. We will have probably gone overboard to re assign fresh data to you. We are not doing this for profit, at least not yet. And your customer satisfaction is our priority. But since it's rather convenient for you to complain here first, which suggests you'll like to get to the root of the issue. I think your best bet is to walk into a etisalat shop or call them to have this resolved. because, we are still your sponsor, yet you cannot access your account. So, something is definitely wrong. And it's definitely not something we control.

i got 2gb etisalat data from you on the 24th of march 2015 around 5 - 6pm

By the 1st week of april, Etisalat started charging me from my prepaid line.

I checked *229*9# and could not seen the allocated data again. I called Etisalat and they said i no longer have an allocation or any data plan

Etisalat and I have been involved in series of mail exchange, and i have gotten a data usage report from them that showed i only used about 540MB within that period.

They claimed my sponsor -you - also have access to that data and could have used it since it was on a shared data platform.

Please clarify what happened to my allocation, and if you have no hand in it, please send a mail to etisalat with your identification requesting for a usage report to be shared with me.
