I wonder o. The update should be as large as 1.7Gb and when you are using a phone for the first time it requires alot of patience. People just start panicking for no reasons. Am sure he got to a percentage and it stopped moving and he taught something was wrong not knowing it is still going and the next movement of the progress bar might be to 97-99%.
same thing almost happened to me when i was updating my RN5 recently (Oreo to pie )which was around 1.6gb ,it took do long than usual to instal even longer that when i did similar update (miui 9 to 10)but because i use to see don't turn off while downloading even in other gadgets then i kept my calm and it all went well .always exercise patients

So you don't know phones are running on energy which is your battery? You should be happy that's it's not mtk kind of phone that 25% of the battery would have gone overnight.
i worry for some people oo,just 1% and he is complaining

We appreciate ur efforts oh jare, at least we know have better understanding and can run a comparative analysis with other products, the Mi A3 ticks a lot of boxes for me and am seriously considering it, Stock Android and Band 28 especially. Call me old skool but am not in tune with the inscreen fingerprint scanner and then that screen resolution ahhhhh cry cry
the main turn off i had with A3 is the screen resolution

I swear, you are right. Very very right.

Although, the chipset is better than the one on A20. But everything wrong with A20 is what is also wrong with the Mi A3.

Shitty Amoled display on a 720p screen.

If I'm to go with performance and aesthetics, I'll go with the A3 though. But if I'm to go with value for money, I'll pick the A20.

In fact, right now, I'll pick the A20.
WTF! Who is comparing a20 to a3,thats treason

They will. They have said the Note 10series would be the last set with 12/16Mp cameras.

Afterall the A80 came with a 48Mp sensor.
what am saying is that charity begins at home, they should have tested all those MPs with their phones before others,is as smoke as they know MP doesn't equate to better picture quality

Contact Lovexme, he was able to unbrick his and another persons. He is in Lagos though.

Fake Unlocked bootloader, that was the cause of most bricks for those updating from Oreo to Pie on RN5.
same reason why i was afraid to update mine but las las i was lucky, when it took long to reboot,i damn panicked lolz

Samsung get better fones but they are over priced. D RN7 is better Dan d A50 in real life comparison. I love Sammy but Xiaomi offers value 4 money, Personally I think Sammy is overpriced. I'll take the Huawei p30 pro over the S10+.. I no dy use fone cos of name but wetin d fone get to offer me
you are damn right,i was gunning for A70 and when mi9t came out i weighed both phones and found out mi9t is better whereas both has nearly same price

Whizpeter:
Hello guys, good evening.

Some of you may know me on this thread, I joined the Xiaomi train some months back.

I'm now with Xiaomi Nigeria as a brand ambassador and we're currently looking at uniting all Xiaomi users, enthusiasts and fans in Nigeria and creating a formidable MI community of MI fans.

We have a lot going on already and now we think it's the right time to bring our Nairaland family into the fold.

To achieve this, we've created a WhatsApp group where we can all converge, share ideas together and make plans together.

If you've been looking for a way to get in touch directly with us at Xiaomi Nigeria with your feedbacks, reviews and suggestions, this may just be your opportunity.

Here's the link to the WhatsApp group: https:// chat. whatsapp .com/Hb07mpo3iydFD22UK0cGrl

Kindly remove the spaces.

Alternatively, you can quote me and drop your WhatsApp number, I'd add you to the group.

Together, let's bring innovation to everyone..... The Xiaomi way.

You people thought you'd gotten rid of me ba?
IN your dreams! In all your dreams!

I jumped from oneplus 5 to galaxy a50 but the love of miui never left my heart. The full screen gestures on this a50 is like punishment. So I went to download miui gestures app jejely and now I'm feeling like I never left the xiaomi gang.
Ui
I'll manage this one until I can finally put money together to get mi 9t pro grin

To be fair, a50 isn't all bad: I like the grip and the lightness. Mot a ton of bloatware too.
The indisplay fingerprint was designed to raise someone BP. I just had to settle for face unlock.. Which is fine. Battery and Ram optimization are other sources of headache. Me I'm not sure that they counted the 4000mah complete.

Did I say I would keep it till I get mi 9t pro? Sorry I meant to say: "help! Pls I'll manage poco phone if you dash me cry
lolzzz

Preferably keep it on a table. If you must keep it on your bed, keep it around where you place your head.

But if you want to sleep very well at night, your phone should not be around your bed. grin
i once slept on top of my RN5 till morning but to my surprise nothing happened to it

Am not expecting that, and am also not interested in getting that phone. My eyes are somewhere else.

Only Interested to see how the phone will fair in the market after its release.

Like the Redmi Note 6 pro the RN 8/8 pro is an experiment, my opinion though.
that note 6pro though,it was near flop ,rarely an upgrade to note 5

i've never really understood how infinix and tecno release phones in the 60-80k price mark and still avoid the mtk helio p60-70 like a plague even with brands like xiaomi, nokia and huawei being more involved in the Nigerian midrange market for the past 2 years
because they base their main market is mainly Africa especially Nigeria where many dont care about chipset or that but moderate camera and battery life
