Here in the US. Uber drivers are not looked at as just drivers. A lot of drivers that I know here are professionals from different ethnicity trying to make extra cash on the side to Augment their income . I know an assistant College professor , my own cousin ( architect) and my engineer neighbor . It makes perfect sense if one can do extra 3 hours after work to make $100....do that 5 days a week($500) , save it and send it home every month ($2000) to finance your building project in Nigeria WITHOUT touching your salary .
